1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 June 07, 14:57:12
In sims 1 they used to mourn for three days. If ever I couldn't find a sim, they'd be out at graveside, crying. I think that was slightly excessive but more real than now. Once you break the queue for crying, they don't do it again. They should have the odd memory, like that of the burglar.

I think that three days would be better but it's too exact. Three sim days is definately too long time to mourn some wife beater.
I really want some personality. I want sims who survive catastrophies without troubles and sims who mourn the rest of their lives.
(And I want to be the goddess who controls all of it.)
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 June 07, 06:00:57
I want an object which I can put in sim's inventory to make my sims cry often or just sometimes.

That could add so much reality when someone dies, gets cheated or is depressed...
Now they cry more about peeing on the floor than the death of their spouse.  Roll Eyes

Their alchemy set is also gorgeous, and it has a hidden door bookcase that works beautifully.

I recommend to check the poly counts. Some of them are just awful.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Selling fish on: 2008 March 06, 20:20:45
Hi,
This is a very bad time to ask this when everybody is excited about FT... but I noticed something when I was playing:
Sim A owns a store. Playable sim B goes to the store and buys some fish. Sim B pays 200 simoleons, sim A gets just 50 simoleons and bouf, 150 simoleons has vanished in to the thin air.   Huh

Is there a logical reason for this? Can I fix the problem somehow?

It looks like a cracked out version of Lindsay Lohan. LOL. I find it quite a shame that he puts effort in his photoshop, yet has such a fugly model.

Bruno has an excellent sence of humour and the preview pics are often funny. So it's probably a joke.  Grin
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Winter clothing on: 2007 May 27, 07:59:27
I get shivers when I see their bare hands.

I live in northern Europe and the temperature can be something from +5 to -20 at winter. I remember how shocked I was when people started to post pictures with sims making snowmen and snowballs and none of them had gloves. I really don't understand what EAxis was thinking when they put gloves in only few outfits. And most of the creators make the same mistake.  Angry

Maybe they have seen snow only in pictures.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Share thy Bedding and Painting!!!!!!!!! Where do ya get em? on: 2007 May 12, 05:30:44

I love her Marimekko collections.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Add Freshness Mod?? on: 2007 April 02, 16:18:59
I find it VERY annoying, I like my sims to be able to eat nice things like salmon. I feel bad for them when they have to live off of mac and cheese because of some stupid bug. Hey, is there a REMOVE freshness mod? It would be cool if the only food that got a bonus was salads....

I second that one. I hate when I have to quard my sims so that they don't eat too much.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maternity outfit borkenness on: 2007 March 20, 06:38:50
This could be some seasons related problem. I have one pregnant sim that has normal maxis hair and purple maxix outfit. She has her normal hair with other clothes, but when she changes into maternity wear, she gets another maxis hair. (and those hairs mismatch perfectly  Sad ) Neither of the hairs have hat.

I don't have any hacks that affect pregnancy or any custom hair and my other pregnant sim is perfectly normal.

10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Business and Seasons Help... on: 2007 March 11, 08:30:56
Is it possible that an object like a basket could be made stockable, and then increase in value relative to the produce stocked within it, thus allowing the stocked basket to be sold for the proper amount?

It would be very nice to sell ingredient baskets for different juices. I have a home bussiness that sells different vegetables and my sims usually have something like one tomato and two eggplants in their inventory...

11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Business and Seasons Help... on: 2007 March 06, 08:28:14
I think if you go into inventory and highlight the item and click on the delete button (garbage can icon) it accomplishes the same thing (kaching) without having to drag the crap out of the inventory.  Need to test this out tonight. According to the guide (notoriously inaccurate), this is now an option.

But, that's not fun at all. And then my other playables can't buy them and make juices.
I tried also to sell juice, but that wasn't succesful either. The glass just disappeared when I quitted the action.... Sad
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Business and Seasons Help... on: 2007 March 05, 21:04:21
Have any of you found a reasonable way to sell vegetables? My poor sim harvested 100 tomatos and now he is trying to sell them - one by one. The customers are considering LONG times to buy just one stupid tomato.  Who buys just one tomato anyways?
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone else own a highres widescreen? CAS screen issues on: 2007 January 23, 23:29:39
I have the same resolution and the same problem. I think that EA has just been really lazy. It shouldn's be so difficult to anchor the sidebar into the side of the screen.
For me, it's not so big problem because I mainly breed my sims and pets. But i would still love to hear a solution for the problem.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: More autonomous arguing! on: 2006 November 29, 07:05:20
Maybe you should try twojeffs's ACR. It's not what you are looking for but it has brought lots of relationship instability in my game.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Plague-Revisited on: 2006 November 20, 18:27:32
I think the requestors don't want controllable.  They want to trigger it and spread it throughout their 'hood.

Have a big party when your sim has a flu. You'll understand me after that. (I meant a "safety net" that prevents really uncontrollable epidemias)

3) depression; lots of crying and lying on the couch (maybe faster decay of comfort and social)
Frankly if a sim wasted my time such annoying whining, I would probably be driven to murder them in short order. They do enough of that already.

I kind of quessed it  Cheesy
I think that a child labor mod would be more like your style. "Enslave your own kids!"
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Plague-Revisited on: 2006 November 19, 17:25:24
I'm going to second (third, fourth) whatever the request for a plague that is a) reasonably contagious and b) reasonably lethal--like 5-10%--and RANDOM.

c) controllable so that we don't get uncontrolled pandemias spreading in our neighborhood..
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Plague-Revisited on: 2006 November 18, 17:30:23
There's no need to micro-manage... just lock them in a room with no comfort objects, a fridge, shower, toilet and some 'fun' things to keep them busy while they get on with dying (slowly, very slowly). It'll probably take a good 4 or 5 days but you just leave them, assuming you use free will, and get on with the rest of the household.

Maybe we could get a macro for dieing flu?  Grin
I haven't been able to kill a sim in a decease with normal micro-managing and I really hate slow deaths in small rooms...
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Plague-Revisited on: 2006 November 17, 15:00:11
Oh, this is one of my pet peeves. I'm too kind to kill my sims and that's why they all die in old age.

Here's my list of things that I'd like to see in my game.
1) sudden death/seizure; something like heart attack, fat sims should have higher risk to get one
2) long term decease; not contagious, but very difficult to cure, could be also fatal. Different symptoms and faster decay of needs.
3) depression; lots of crying and lying on the couch (maybe faster decay of comfort and social)
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bodyshop on: 2006 November 11, 18:17:10
I really would like to know if they have made some necessary updates or do they just want to make us all buy OMGPETZ. And wouldn't it be nice if they decided that it's "necessary" to make updates to every new bodyshop in the future EPs.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised... Just how arrogant can they be? They make us products with full of bugs, spyware and incompatibilities, and because they don't have any real competitors, they can do it. I feel like a sheep and that's really depressing.

As it stands right now, with Pets installed, basically everything that we create in Bodyshop is NOT compatible without Pets installed and this certainly isn't fair to those who have not purchased the game for whatever reason. We have made an attempt to appeal to Maxis and get our issued addressed but they ignore us so the choice is yours.... Do you want Pets or Custom Content?

An announcement in insimenator. http://www.insimenator.net/announcement.php?f=23&a=49

WTF!  Huh

Edit: Ok, apparently it's true. (I must have been living in a barrel...) Numenor has already made a new "legacy bodyshop" for that. http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=201322
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Two questions, one thread! on: 2006 October 22, 11:16:59
You are not the only one having problems.
I have tried to breed two cas made dogs, big one and small one. As a result I probably get self-pollination. Puppies are all same colour as mother and there's no dad in the family tree. I tried also playing as vanilla and got same result.

Another nice little bug: Try to invite a family with a baby... I kind of guessed at some point what was going to happen. And yes, they left the smelling baby on the front yard in the middle of dog puddles and left for home.
22  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers wanted: Load package in sim surgery. on: 2006 April 08, 09:26:17
Thanks,
I love this one. I don't have uni and my butt ugly sims have stayed butt ugly to the end of their miserable lives, because I don't want to mess my neighborhood with dozens of dublicates.

But I have had some intresting bugs with this. Once my sim turned black. He was a shadow man inside the house and turned into normal when he went outside. Couple of sims got wrong face when they looked to the mirrow first time, but got the right face after couple of attemps. Anyway, I have always been able to get the right appereance after some playing with inSimenator/mirror.
