Amorata, there have been several requests for babysitter improvment; they're kind of a pain in everyone's ass.  One imperfect solution is to simply create a sim caregiver and move him or her into your sim house as a live-in nanny.  Annoying, since thier babycare is completely unautomated so you have to tell them what to do all the time, but also good because you actually *can* tell them what to do so they don't just stand thier picking their nose for hours while the spawn screams in hunger, hygene, and social despiration.  Another bonus is that you don't have to pay them.   Tongue
52  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Delphy's New Breast Slider Hack on: 2009 October 09, 19:55:13
I like the slider, but some of the long hair cc I have doesn't work well with this.  IE: Long hair that goes over the boob area. With larger boobs this type of hair sits above the boobs instead on on them.  Just thought I would warn you guys about this.
Yes, and worse some hair distorts wildly (ie the conversion of Nouk's Donna hair which is availalbe at GOS and Mod the Sims) if certain sliders are adjusted more than the tiniest bit.

Someone said the only clothing mesh with issues was the t-shirt, but I have issues with the goth dress as well.  And not just with making the breasts too big; it looks really, really strange on my sim who's breasts are smaller and higher than normal.
53  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 October 08, 00:26:11
I tried (without success, I might add; my game crashed) to uninstall awesomemod today to try to get someone's lifetime wish to reach a level ten career met when the game was trying to prevent it because his boss (an NPC game-generated to fill the spot) was already there.  I finally managed a work-around by using developer-mode cheats to demote the boss by inviting her over and clicking on her to demote her to level nine, but it shouldn't have been that hard....It's a real pity when one chooses to play characters already in existence with already-chosen LTWs to have to change them just because awesomemod has decided that There Can Be Only One...
You could have killed her, or just watied for her to die of old age.  Or, you could have been *better than* her.  Just because a sim is already Leader of the Free World for example, doesn't mean they will always have that job.  If your sim was outperforming her, your sim would have been promoted and that sim demoted.
54  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Delphy's New Breast Slider Hack on: 2009 October 07, 19:54:21
Delphy warns that some clothes will look strange or just plain won't work with this (so far all the clothing I've tried it with looks fine); however,  I discovered that certain hairs will have issues with it, depending on where you place the sliders.  Honestly, it's not a game mod I would have bothered with but my husband insisted I download it.   Roll Eyes
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Two Farmhouses and a Monastery on: 2009 October 02, 18:02:19
A whole lot of CC doesn't have any CC symbol, and some of it I think claims to be from the Sims Store when it is not.  It's very confusing if you're trying to share something and trying to remember if that content was actually base game or what.
56  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 October 02, 01:13:10
I have inactive toddlers jumping right to teens (apparently?), and inactive children aging to teens and then aging again to adults all while my playable teen is still a teen.  I don't understand why the game is so broken to begin with, but a fix that forces the entire neighbourhood to actually age in sync would be *greatly* appreciated.
Which family members would they age up on?  Or would you want all active family members to age at the same time?  I think making everyone age up at the same time is a bigger problem that what exists now.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean here.  I don't want all the teens in the hood to age up all at the same time.  I just want them to age at the same rate as my playables.  So if my child meets another child on his first day of school, she won't be an Adult before he's even a teen.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Two Farmhouses and a Monastery on: 2009 September 29, 15:48:50
Thank you so much for sharing these.  I have been wanting to start my own medieval TS3 hood since my TS2 one never got off the ground.  These will provide some much-needed inspiration since building has never been my strong suit.
58  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 September 29, 15:31:08
My research would indicate that paper cariers age well and babysitters don't?
Well, in my expirence paper cariers don't age well at all.  I had two female paper carriers who were children at the same time as my playable was a child.  When he aged to teen, they were still children, then they aged to teens a few days later.  However, a couple of days after that, they were suddenly adults (possibly/probably YAs).  This is in the same hood (Hatchet Falls) which I downloaded from the Pudding Factory where I had several inactive todlers suddenly become teens while my todler was still a todler and my child was still a child.  I'll have to do some more testing and such, since I must provide a series of saves to verrify this happening.  Tongue
59  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 September 29, 00:50:08
Would it be at all possible to expand the no fast aging of inactive babies to include no fast aging of any inactives?

I always update my awesome mod before I play, so I know I have the newest version.

Can we still age ghost babies with the birthday cake?

eta: Ok, I'm stupid.  I forgot about inactive ghost babies.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Hatchet Falls: Sunset Valley, Redefined (UPDATED W/ SIMS) on: 2009 September 09, 22:06:23
I started playing the Calendar family yesterday and I must say I like Hatchet Falls a lot.  I did notice, though, that the Leftover Autumn Salad in thier fridge spoils while they are eating it (causing mom Calendar to run to the bathroom to throw up a while later).  Not that I need that "fixed" or anything, just a head's up to others so they'll know to simply delete it and prepare fresh food if they're playing that family.

Eta: I've been continuing with the Calendar family, and I've noticed some oddities.  I'm wondering if it's just me.

1. Some "wild" plants are unharvestable, though they are displaying "Harvest" as their growth state.  The only option I get on them is "view".  I have noticed this in 240 Sunnyside Blvd (I wanted those peppers!) and the apple trees at the school.  Other wild plants are functioning normally, such as the tomatoes and potatoes at 260 Sunnyside Blvd and the trees in the park.

2. The Westley todlers somehow aged to teens though the Calendar boy is still a child and the girl is still a todler.

Is it intentional that the watermelon plants growing on 270 Sunnyside Blvd are Foul and Putrid quality?

One small annoyance is that kids leave school and supposedly go to visit school mates or bring them home. The problem is that they initially don't know the kid they visit or be visited what should be the meaning for those visits, BUT they do not contact or be contacted by those kids while visiting. Most of the time they leave or be left without even be known with each other.
Yeah, that's a short-coming in the EAxian code, I've observed that ever since I first installed the game.
Usually, I direct my simkid to interact with the other kid, which works fine so long as the other kid isn't passing out on the floor (which is usually what happens!).
63  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 26, 18:50:27
Well, it has not bee working for me.  A quick check of my neighborhood shows no infants, no toddlers, no children and no teens.  I have a lot of oldsters dying off, however.  I became suspicious when on of the children in my family seemed to have no friends, was not going home with anyone and was not inviting any friends over.  This was after I put cribs all over town.
Do you have anyone in your town who is actually capable of having children (that is, do you have any Young Adult or Adult females)?  If not, you'll probably have to manually move a few in to avoid total town extinction.

(one of my sims dived on a swimming-pool using an overall suit).
Did he have the Insane or Innapropriate traits?  If so, this is normal behavour and has absolutely nothing to do with the outfit in question.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot-flavored puddings from Krib on: 2009 August 26, 07:56:43
The Toi Toi bushes in the middle of the front are very evocative. I had a look for them in the shrubs section the other day but haven't located them yet. Are they custom?
They are called "cattails" in the game and they came with the base game.  Imo, the thumbnails kind of suck; you kind of have to place them to see what they really look like.
66  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 August 26, 07:42:18
I've a question...was lurking around the site and read on another thread that Pescado had added new traits to the game? Is this besides the pedo related and chosen ones, and if so, would anyone care to edumacate me as to what they might be?
Teeldeer, TeeldeerImune, Narcalepsy, and Incontinent AFAIK.  Don't quote me on those spellings, though.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Three Abodes for Pudding Habitation on: 2009 August 26, 04:49:34
The cheapest shower, single and double beds, refrigimator, and stove are all harmful to Sims, because they sometimes or usually give negative moodlets.
So it's only the very cheapest of these items that are harmful?
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Three Abodes for Pudding Habitation on: 2009 August 26, 00:17:49
Nice.  I like how you put cribs in them.  Smiley

They are all very pretty and have such interesting layouts.  Gosh, I wish I could build like that; all my sim houses are boring, ugly boxes.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Hatchet Falls: Sunset Valley, Redefined on: 2009 August 25, 01:05:02
I have to ask, do any of the pre-built houses contain cribs?

I havn't downloaded yet because I currently have my game running, but this looks fantastic.  I'm excited to try it out for myself now that I've seen the screenshots.   Grin
70  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 25, 00:32:52
I'm talking specifically about one of the females in the Roomies household that married...but she is constantly dating others.
Is she Flirty?  That or Commitment Issues will cause married sims to cheat.  I remember that one of the Roomies, the one with long hair and a pink headband who's in Politics is Flirty.

Svetlana Baker who is an elder and starts married will also cheat on her hubby with all the YAs who apparently don't find her age (she's a grandmother for goodness sake!) or her marital status a turn-off.  I'm just hoping she dies soon.   Tongue
71  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 August 25, 00:22:13
Is there a way to force the game to believe a want has been fulfilled when it has in fact been fulfilled, but the game is being stupid and pretending it hasn't been?  In TS2 we could just ctrl+click on the want, but that doesn't seem to do anything in TS3.
72  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 August 22, 00:04:55
Out of curiosity, how do they go about acquiring items to skill up Guitar, Writing, or Painting? The other skills have books or readily available items/locations but those three require specifically purchased items.
Well, in my hoods the libraries have computers, so sims can easily gain Writing without needing to buy thier own computer.  I also added some easels to one of the parks and to the school lot, so if they are smart enough, they can go paint on one of those lots.

The one thing they will not have available is gitars.  I wish they could just buy themselves one straight into thier inv, as I hate micro-managing things like that for the whole town.

By the way, this new storymode skilling thing is totally freaking awesome.
73  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 19, 20:44:28
I think there are still some bugs with sims who shouldn't be cheating on their spouses still cheating:

Here we see proof that Leighton is in fact married:

Here we see his traits.  Note that he is neither flirty nor Commitment Issues:

eta:  I do in fact have the very latest version of awesomemod available as I just checked.
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: More Fun Activities For Sims 3 on: 2009 August 19, 20:34:53
Do you guys think jumping on beds will be a fun activity to do for kids and childish adults?
Yeah!  ...as long as it doesn't get kids taken away by socail services like it did in TS2 Seasons.  Tongue
