There aren't any known "unfixables" in the current version. If you're encountering any, indicate which file.

I had quite a few files, that after being ran through everything wouldn't install still. I couldn't even find a few of the files it listed, so I just deleted them via launcher, but one I recognized was a Lianasims toddler dress, so I went and re-downloaded all of her toddler dresses to see which it was, then ran them each through the programs, and had only them in the DL folder and ran the launcher, it tells me that I need to check my game version, or something to that effect and try again. So, I'm guessing those would be "unfixables"?

I'm curious, if the sims pictures/map tags, showing up for all the sims my sims know from map view is from AM? I hadn't played in a couple weeks, so once I got HELS I installed it and updated everything. The game itself runs fine, but I noticed from map view today that its showing all the map tags for all sims mine know.

You know the super computer is compatible with AM? From reading what you're saying, it seems like you're saying the SC is a core mod and you switch it out with AM, correct? I use AM with twallan's story progression and super computer, it is compatible, because neither of twallan's mods are core mods.

Krib, it has been stated here, and on the official EA forums, that once your lots go blue, there is no getting them back. Unless you have a back up save, that wasn't blue, there is no hope as far as I can see/tell. Unless EA releases a patch to fix them, but I would not count on it.
30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 17:04:20
Have any of you guys had any further luck? (have been reading the thread)
I've deleted all the mods and caches, to not one difference. And I don't even have the new EP!
I really, really don't want to have to make a new town/reinstall - I've been working with this one family for ages (and I can't even move them out due to the blue), building up their skills and 'want-points', and I'm not about to start again...:/

Oh dear. Sad

Just wanted to say from reading that thread from the EA forums, someone posted in here, it was helpful as far as what CC works and doesn't work, but also sadly said that, once your save has gone blue, there is no fixing it. You either have to start fresh, or revert back to a previous save if you kept a backup, to before the blue appeared.

As far as my blue lots of death go, reading through here, and all over trying to get information. I do remember my previous saves, that have gone blue, did have the decorative Lemoncandy CC on them. So I'm also confirming that one for you guys.

I kept wondering why my original save and family, since before WA worked fine for awhile after installing WA, even after going on vacations, then decided to turn blue. I remembered though, the night before the blue happened, last time I had played, I moved my family to a bigger house and redecorated. Normally, I forget about the clutter objects, but this house was a lot bigger then their last one, so it needed a little extra stuff crammed around in it, and I added quite a few of the clutter objects! Then saved and quit, next day all blue.

I have a question, regarding a weird aging glitch I seem to have encountered! I'm not sure if its AM or EA's glitch, but I'm thinking I know why its happens, due to me turning off aging at random sometimes, but I could be wrong! Anyways, just wanted to see if anyone else has the glitch, or just me, lol!

Here's the story, I used select sim, to make my child's friend's family selectable, so I could change her fitness/fatness levels, upon doing that I decided to also fix her relationships, and schoolwork and what nots. I noticed that Claire Ursine (her mother) was an elder already, and I switched over to her and fixed her up as well. She had a wish to "pick up Keli" I did not know who this Keli was, so I found her in the relationship panel and she was listed as Claire's daughter, who was a toddler, but did not live with her?? I thought that a bit strange from the get go, so I looked into the family tree to find that Keli was the product of Claire and a guy named Dave Ramsey, and lived with Dave, not her mother.

So I invited Dave over, asked him to move in, bringing their toddler with him. Upon doing that it popped up and asked if this was correct and showing me the family picture, which was odd, because Dave had his arms in the position as if he were holding an infant, and Keli was a toddler, who was standing up on top of his arm, lol. Anyways, to make a longer story short, I moved them in Keli was a toddler, with 7 days until becoming a child.

I reselected my child, and went about the day, the next day, my kid rolled a wish to have a sleepover, and since her friend slept over the night before, I had her go to her house to sleep over. The child was the only one home, but Claire showed up a few minutes later, but dad and the toddler weren't around. By 2am, I noticed dad was home, toddler still missing. So I select them, and see that the toddler is suddenly a child, or so I thought, she had a child's picture, and she was out swinging in the park at 2am!

I made her come home, when she got there I decided to edit her in CAS to fix her clothes and stuff, I noticed her picture was a little off, her arms were sticking out.. So when I got her into CAS she was a teenager!? I was baffled, but fixed her anyways, exited CAS and she was showing as a teenager on the age meter, with 14 days until being a YA, which was odd seeing as the day before she had 7 days until childhood.. Then I looked up at her, and she was a midget, so to speak! She had teenager clothes/shoes/hair, but she was the size of a child, and walking around like a toddler!! When she walked her body stretched out all funny to accommodate her grown up clothing I assume, lol.

I'm not sure what happened to her in that 1 day, but she got messed up, so I just reselected my child and made her go home, and away from the crazy family, then exited and saved. I have had this "midget" issue before, where I had a child who was in the process of aging into a teen, but was still a child on the outside, when I changed her appearance, she was a teenager in CAS, and when I exited CAS she was a really short person lol! I thought nothing of it then, because she sorted herself out when she walked away, but this child Keli, never did.
32  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 21, 05:56:45
I have a quick question, I accidentally ctrl + shift clicked and impregnated the wrong person, because my kid looks exactly like her mother.. So I have a teenager who is apparently pregnant now, lol! Is there a way to undo this, or should I just kill her? She made it as far as delivery, and she is stuck in have a baby mode, the moodlet is in her box, but if I try to send her to the hospital or have someone take her, nothing happens. So she is totally broken right now
33  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 07, 13:15:39
I have a question that's probably dumb on my part, and I blame no sleep, but for the things that say "optional- default: enabled" these are automatically enabled on the normal versions correct? Or does that mean for those that pick and chose with the configuration tool?
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Story Progression Toggle: Is it borked? on: 2009 June 05, 02:39:48
I just found this link over at TSR from the official site, and EA's confirmation of story  progression  being broken, and how to fix it. Rather strange way to "fix" it, but if it works, then I'm ok with that until Pescado fixes their mess or EA patches it.

35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Choosing Sex of Babies on: 2009 May 29, 11:34:36
I have noticed along the lines of the wishes for a girl or boy, if my sims roll one, I usually keep it, and then they have always had what they wished for. My sims do not eat, because I use the cheats to keep their motives maxed, so the food doesn't affect them, but I haven't seen one of those wishes be wrong yet, so maybe there is more to the wishes.

I've only had one conflicting wish from both parents, mom wanted a girl, and dad wanted a boy, I clicked mom's first and a few sim hours later, dad rolled up the wish to have a boy, and I clicked it as well, but remembered that I already gave mom the girl one, so I deleted his wish. They had a girl. Of course that could just be coincidences in my game, but it hasn't failed yet.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Choosing Sex of Babies on: 2009 May 29, 03:43:20
I just remembered something, when thinking of the apples/watermelons thing. In my game, my sim rolled a wish to eat cobbler with grapes, I had no idea how to do that, so I had her husband make some cobbler, then had her eat a piece of it, then eat some grapes, which didn't work, so I came on here and asked, and figured out how to do it.

The point though, is she had triplets who were all girls, she had eaten 2 slices of "apple cobbler" when I was trying to eat grapes, then cobbler, when that didn't work I tried eating cobbler then grapes. So all in all she had 2 slices of apple cobbler, but got triplet girls.

She had never eaten anything at all else during her pregnancy aside from the actual "grapes cobbler" when I figured out how to make them, because I use the testing cheats enabled and drag her needs to fill them. The only reason she got to eat then was because she rolled that wish. So maybe they have to eat a lot of apples to get boys, or maybe the grapes threw off the boys and gave her girls, I don't know. But it is interesting that it happened that way. I think multiple births are buggy anyways though, so it could all be nothing.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 29, 03:31:10
I tried having testingcheats enabled, and typing in some of those cheats, they didn't work, it would say what someone already mentioned, "unknown command" I was very excited to see the edit in cas one! I hope it will work with the final game, so I can fix the messed up genetics my children seem to get, like the multiples births coming out, with 2 very different skin tones.
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 28, 21:17:37
Well some interesting news in my Sim family full of multiples, I was aging up the infant triplets, for some reason dad is the only one who kept getting the "help with birthday" Que and gathering up the babies. So he got one downstairs goes to blow out the candles and the very obnoxious fire alarm starts going off, and I see that the cake is on fire, not only that but my dad is on fire! He had a bad moodlet for "on fire" and he had flames coming out his shirt.. So I'm freaking out because all my Sims are in panic mode, dad is just stuck in a Que of holding the baby, and I can't cancel his action.

So I made mom put out the kitchen fire, and dad was still on fire, so I clicked on him and it said "put Sim out" so I tried to have her do that but the que kept dropping, because dad was stuck. So I reset sim, him and baby popped back into play, had mom go put him out, but it canceled again, and then dad turned into a pile of ashes.. lol shocking and upsetting for me at the time, kind of funny now.

Grimmy showed up, took my guy away. I kept trying to click on grimmy and plead for the dad's life, because I have infant triplets, and toddler twins, it was hard enough with 2 parents, now mom will have to go it alone? I don't think so, lol. But there was no option to save his life, and then he jumped in his urn, and grimmy disappeared.. Obviously I hadn't saved in awhile, because I'm awesome like that  Lips sealed

So now I have a mom, and 5 very young children lol! I thought there was a way to resurrect a sim? I can't find an option anywhere, I tried clicking on various buildings in town, including the science lab, but no options come up. Also, if/when he is resurrected, he will still function properly right, and be apart of the family? Even if hes a ghost he can still care for those thousand babies he wanted, dying can't save him from those screaming kids, not if I can help it!
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 28, 10:03:35
Ok well it seems eating the 2 things simultaneously if they cannot be combined and cooked together, such as the grapes and cobbler, does count and grant the wish. I had my girl go to eat some ice cream then spaghetti, unfortunately she went into labor mid ice cream, but when she returned home, after unloading 3 babies from a basket(wtf lol) I had her eat the spaghetti, then ice cream and her wish was fulfilled.

I am a little angry with the genetics! More like alot angry, I have a very dark skinned dad, and a very light skinned mom, their first pregnancy was twins, 1 very dark, 1 very light, they don't even look like twins because of that! Then now this 2nd pregnancy has given them triplets, 2 very dark, 1 very light.. at the very least if they won't blend, they could give them all the darker skin tone.

Also, has anyone sucessfully had a mulitple birth with different sexed babies? I noticed that all my multiple births have been all boys or all girls. This family has twin boys, triplet girls, in other families my sister and I both have twin girls.

And! I hate that they do not announce that you're having multiples! Like when they go to the hospital for the Dr. consultation they could have a popup saying it went well and you're having twins, or triplets! Or they could at least bother to tell you when you deliver! So you can cordinate names. I know thats been said before, but I still hate it, lol! They should bring back TS2 way of a pop up with "Baby Boy" or "Baby Girl" if you have twins, it is 1 box with both babies name boxes. It would be so much easier, but of course EA can't have us being happy or having things easily handed to us!

Or is this wish totally useless?

You can make any fruit into a cobbler, so what I'd do is remove all the fruit from the fridge except grapes, and then direct her to make cobbler.  She'll choose grapes and then that should work to fulfill the wish.

Thanks for that, it worked! Immediately after eating that, she rolled a want to eat ice cream and spaghetti..... I don't even know how that one is possible, since you only get ice cream from quick meals, lol, I think I should have given her the insane trait or something, cause she's totally crazy!
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 28, 08:55:18
I didn't notice anything on the fridge, but she doesn't have very high cooking skills, I think its at 4 or 5 maybe.. I'll probably raise that one next and get her pregnant again to see. It takes so flippin long to skill up, I turned off aging, and have been playing these people for like 3 RL days, and still only half the skills maxed LOL I can't wait for a mod to fix that!  Cheesy

How would I have done the spaghetti with watermelon? The cobbler thing my sister suggested making it with different fruit, but I didn't know it was possible, so thanks for that one! But the spaghetti with watermelon seems a little out there, lol
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 28, 08:33:45
Does anyone know how to eat certain foods together? Pregnant sims get cravings for crazy foods, and want to eat them. Like my sim now has a want to eat Cobbler with grapes, and I've had one before to eat spaghetti with watermelon. I had her husband make the cobbler because she wasn't high enough skill to make herself, then had her grab a piece. I had some grapes, but theres noway to combine them, or anything that I could tell. So I had her eat the cobbler then some grapes after and it didn't fulfill her wish, so I tried eating grapes then cobbler, still didn't fulfill the wish. So now I have a stuffed sim, who still wants to eat cobbler with grapes, lol. Is it even possible? Or is this wish totally useless?
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 26, 08:04:26
I'm really starting to wish that there was a way to keep collections separate. Containers specifically for all seeds, all rocks, and all bugs would be very useful. Some sort of display for bugs would be neat, too - there's fish bowls for fish, so why not?

I also have a question pertaining to the law enforcement career track: how exactly do you write reports? I've questioned one sim and dug in the trash of two different families, and not once did the option to write a report show up. I checked both my sim's computer, his workplace, and options while he was at work - all nada. Does it require actually finding a sim guilty of something worth reporting on?

If you get enough evidence it will pop up and say that your sim has found some very promising evidence on the sim, while digging in their trash. I never got the questioning to work for me, but trash did. Then you go to the computer and under the "Writing" tab it will have write a report on whatever sim you got evidence on.

46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Razor1911 release vs. Reloaded release on: 2009 May 26, 00:22:18
Patch is a standalone patcher:

Sims3_1.0.632.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe   10,720,392   05/25/2009 19:40

That's 10mb or so.

I did just notice something new in my game: I actually had neighbors show up and greet my Sim after move-in. This is the first time in about six test households (and additional movings) that this has happened, on my first new hood/Sim after installing and patching razor.. Not sure if this is related, probably not.

That happened in my game once from the previous version, so I don't think thats new in this build. But it did only happen once, I thought it was strange that it only happened once, and not before or after. But I thought it was because they actually had neighbors! Previously the houses I had lived in were up away from the town, so I figured it was simply because they actually had neighbors next to them and thats why they came.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 May 26, 00:18:43
I still can't get this to work in my game. I dunno why! I followed the read me and put it in the bin folder from the C:program file directory. Is there something else I am supposed to do thats not in the read me perhaps?  Lips sealed
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 25, 19:50:52
And if I can actually get this posted this time:

I have some books that cannot be read by either adult or children (not toddlers). Questions:

1) Can toddlers read some books?

2) Is there any way adults can read to toddlers or children?

3) Can anyone try to have their child (not toddler) try to read either the Seussian titles or the Harry Potteresque series and let me know if it works?

Basically I can't get my sim kid to read anything but the logic books.

All of the books under "Children" are for toddlers to read, which if they read enough of them, gives them a nice bonus to skills when they age! My twin girls read every book as  toddlers, and they started out with level 3 in skills, and a pop up said "Because simmy child read so much as a toddler they now have a bonus and head start on life" or something to that affect. Also maxing out peg, music and block skills gave them bouns's to other traits when aged! It was nice.

You can click the bookshelf with the books in them and have a parent read to the toddler, which btw is super cute, cause they get all snuggly and the toddler will turn pages. Or you can simply click the books from the parents inventory and say "Read to:" which is what I did so I could keep track of what they had and had not read.

Then halfway through the twins toddler years, mom left a book on the floor and the toddler had a que to "Read" so I followed her and she went up and actually read the book herself! So I dragged out all the childrens books from mom's inventory and the bookshelf and had the twins read every book on their own then mom didn't have to waste so much of her own time doing it lol. It did look like a library threw up on my floor but it was worth it to get those bonus's to skills!

As far as what actual child sims can read, I'm not sure. They should have options to read all the skill books, given they have high enough skills for them. Maybe some of those books they have are like PG-13 and children can't read them, lol I dunno!
49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 May 25, 14:27:39
This isn't working for me  Huh I followed the read me thing, and put the file into the proper place and overwrote the one already in there, game loads up fine, sim went to shower and the censor is still there, is there something else I am missing?
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 24, 11:00:18
Don't know if any one here knows about this yet:

Quote
Someone pointed me to this. EA has generated a patch for the release game already.

The release version number is 1.0.631.00107, and the patch is designed to update this to 1.0.632.00107.

The pirated version is 1.0.615.00107, proving it is an old prerelease version.

And this link: http://na.llnet.eadownloads.ea.com/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/sims3_sku7_update_manifest.xml

So wait, ok the part about the version we have being old I get, but the part that they have a patch already for a game that isn't released, is that what that is saying? lol
