1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Attempting to Unlock the other High Rise shells on: 2010 October 30, 02:34:12
Look in your empty houses bin in-game. They're on pre-made lots, but it's better than nothing.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night Arr on: 2010 October 26, 22:11:53
Reloaded release just went out.
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Lotsizes on: 2010 July 05, 02:23:35
It's "addlotsize 40 x 30". With spaces between the x and the numbers. 40x30 isn't a valid size in this manner, thus the error.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 04, 02:18:28
Get rid of any old mosaic killing mods and get the new one in Pudding Factory. The old ones will also render ghosts and certain fires invisible.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Patch 1.11/2.6/3.2 on: 2010 March 24, 21:35:31
Is now out. Or, has been for several hours now anyway.

http://www.thesims3.com/community/news.html?selMonth=2&selYear=2010#1933964469

    * Base Game: Fixes an issue where Sims continuously perform the "Be Invited Inside" interaction on other Sims' lots.

    * Base Game: Fixes an issue that causes Sims to get stuck in the "Grab a Slice" interaction on pizza.

    * World Adventures: Fixes an issue that causes the game to freeze when attempting to save a household on a base camp.

    * High End Loft Stuff: Fixes an issue where the family inventory loses functionality after using the Create a Style tool on an object.

    * High End Loft Stuff: Fixes an issue that prevents the fulfillment of the "Buy a Video Game System" wish when buying the "GUGA JoyToy 3" and "Console 7" video game systems.

    * High End Loft Stuff: Fixes and issue that prevents the "Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium" Life Time Wish from counting fish in fish aquariums.

    * Shop Mode Update: Fixes problems caused by the font and updates the In Game Store to the latest EA Webkit version.

Someone go bork hunting.

Apparently there's also a CAW update to coincide with this.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 09, 19:55:05
Interesting that they go on about 3rd party custom content and what to do with it. Either they're finally accepting that game is nearly unplayable without it, or they're trying to bork it for good.

Patch seems mostly pointless. I'll wait for the AM update this time.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Got High End Loft Stuff two days early . . . for all the good it does me. on: 2010 February 03, 05:04:55
Again, the ARR'd copy is just the disk image of a DVD, always going to be 4.7 gb in size. EA just used a DVD when they probably could've used a CD. Of course, they're more flimsy and kind of out of date. The disk could also be bloated with old patches, as well.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Got High End Loft Stuff two days early . . . for all the good it does me. on: 2010 February 02, 20:20:09
It's a Vitality release posted by someone with a pink skull badge; it's almost certainly real. It's in over 50 parts, indicating that it's a multi-rar and thus a little smaller in size than its extracted version. I'm guessing it's a DVD image, so it doesn't matter how big the actual package is.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Fern Lake, my first attempt at CAW goodness. on: 2010 January 22, 07:22:33
At least you're TRYING to make a mainland neighborhood. I take a peek at the exchange's neighborhoods sometimes (just for a laugh, never to download) and 98% of the crap there are islands. Nothing against Coconut Island though, it's actually a nicely built hood.

You have two options to make land that appears to go off into the distance. Use the largest map size available, surround it by hills, and make your town in the middle. Have one road go off behind a hill and be non-routable for the camera for realism. Or, just use the distant terrain over and over. They're a little bitchy to place, though.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Insane Fix to make Riverview work. on: 2010 January 17, 03:39:12
Did you really need to "look" at someone's posts to ensure yourself that they're not a troll, when they already have nearly 8000 of them and has evaded being banned all these years?
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please clarify something about the patch? on: 2010 January 04, 05:08:57
Just grin and bare it. It's inevitable that you'll have to patch eventually, for EP reasons or some other, and Pescado is only going to continue making patches for the latest versions, no matter what new bullshit EA concocts for each update. (Like in this one, you seemingly can't use bike racks/parking spaces anymore because of some "vehicle can't intersect" crap). You might as well just go gung-ho and update as soon as there's a new patch, or wait until AM is fixed to work with it, and for better or worse, it's what the majority of us are going to do no matter how much we try to put it off. The good news is at least that we're all in the same pile of crap together, which makes it all the faster to find solutions to problems and dig ourselves out.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: I'm Just Not Awesome Enough ... I Need Help, Please on: 2010 January 01, 06:55:26
Mine's working now, for whatever reason. Weird Sims 3 dark voodoo.

For the rest of you, yeah, make sure you install the framework first before complaining.

EDIT: Just crap to disregard.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2009 December 17, 22:07:55
If you hadn't noticed it, the lot size appears in the lower right corner of the program window as you make the lot. Stupidly, I don't think there's a way to edit lot size after one has been built.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 17, 21:17:31
Has anyone gotten an overstuffed house to work yet with the new patch? My main neighborhood loads fine, but my more story-based one with an overstuffed house as the active family causes the load bar to stop about 1/5 the way through. Since they're still active, I can't get in the hood at all at the moment to see if this is the problem.

I know EA mentioned some stuff about having over 8 sims living in one lot and crap, so whatever change they made probably borked the current version of AM (although the test version does otherwise work).

Just looking for a confirmation from anyone who has an overstuffed household.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2009 December 17, 07:14:06
Yes, roads are a bit of a bitch until you figure them out. First of all, you have to use the crosswalk section if you want them to split at all, and you can't just slap it in the middle of an already made road. Most of your road manipulating is going to be done by pressing that move objects button in the upper left; roads count as objects, and you can delete them by selecting them first with the pointer. Also using the object mover, you can manipulate laid roads, making them longer or shorter, curving them, and snapping them into place into crosswalks (the game will snap them in when you get close enough).

Basically, just use the move objects tool to mess with roads, and you'll figure it out pretty fast.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 Released - CAW Out on: 2009 December 16, 20:06:03
I went ahead and patched, I guess I'm just that eager to play with it. Which is all I'll probably be doing until a new AM is out.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 Released - CAW Out on: 2009 December 16, 20:00:52
Ugh.

Note that you'll be forced to patch Sims 3 prior to using Create a World.

Lame.

Oh, hey, also...

Not even announced yet on the home page. Saw it on simoperations.

I guess I'm a good town crier. I'm on fire today.

Yet another patch. Now with more capitalism in every bite.

If you have WA, scroll down to World Adventures updates. Or you'll just read a whole bunch of crap twice.

Also,

Oh dear, kinky man love in the wilderness. I think you get executed for that in Egypt.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: It Are A Trap - what affects your chances of success? on: 2009 November 24, 04:19:40
The "advanced technology" traps need to be disarmed another way. Usually by finding a switch or panel, or by putting a statue on it.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: So is World Adventures worth it? on: 2009 November 21, 21:11:59
Being a photographer myself, I'm really digging the new photography stuff. I just really want someone to make a hack or something that adds a class for it. Getting those first few skill points for it sucks. Basements are very cool. Once AM is updated I'll be making a Vault society. Nectar is also a pretty neat novelty hobby, and I find the science of wine interesting enough. Tombs will probably be fun enough as long as you do them sparingly. Can't wait for some user made ones. The tombs that are in the French houses are really the best, I think.

I ended up buying this expansion pack. Don't know if I'll buy them all, but this one had enough stuff on the side that interested me.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA made me update TS3 before installing, now game won't start! Help!! on: 2009 November 20, 06:09:54
The probability of disc failure is so low (but so easy to blame instead of user error) that it's practically impossible to ever have it happen. Just saying. No need to bug the store people for another copy.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Buyable Training Dummy For WA on: 2009 November 20, 02:41:14
Rider, I just discovered that while this mod enables the training dummy to be bought at home, it actually disables it from appearing in the buydebug menu, meaning it can't be placed on community lots.
