1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.17/2.12/3.8/4.5/5.2 on: 2010 October 27, 12:17:16
Did anyone notice weird issues after patching? For instance, spirits in "Spirit Invasion" jobs, water and fire animation in springlers and firepits simply disappeared, after patching my game...
Did you check your mods folder before you complained here?  Take your no censor mod out of your game.  Seriously if you searched MOAR you would find that was the answer.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 October 17, 19:39:15
True.  I might just leave it alone for now.  I keep forgetting there is a new L&P coming up.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 October 17, 17:30:02
That number is a lot higher than I thought.  I have all the store content installed and hardly any cc.  Got a quad-core processor, 4 gigs of ram, Windows 7 Ultimate and a 512meg video card.  Lacking ram on the video card.  Should upgrade sometime.  Thanks Zazazu.  I will experiment with how many sims I can cram into my hood until my computer has a heart attack.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Sims 3 Exchange Greasemonkey Script on: 2010 October 17, 15:37:22
I tested this script and it half works for me.  The Add to Game button works and bypasses the login box but the Save File link brings up the login box.  Can anyone else confirm or deny?  I can go back to doing the View Source way but Lazy Cat is Lazy.  I tried multiple kinds of downloads too. Sims, lots, recolors, etc.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 October 17, 14:32:27
The game doesn't know how to handle too many sims, so you're likely not going to find a world populated with so many that you "meet someone new every night". And places are deserted at night because that's how the game is set up, sims go to bed at night and there's no lots that are set to be populated in particular at night. A custom world won't change that.

So if I put down a ton of really tiny houses and say populated them with AM or just dumped the max limit of sims inside each one would my game explode into a bfbvfs?

You can, however, mod the game so that places are populated at night. If you want your town population of all ages to freaking love hanging out at the park at night, I'm pretty sure there are values you can change to get that to happen.

There is a mod made by Shimrod101 that sort of does this here: http://ts3.tscexchange.com/index.php?topic=3954.0

I will look at that mod and see how he did it.  I can probably convert it into making sims come out at night and during the day.  Shimrod101 mentioned some of the values he changed.  It will just take a little tweaking.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Huge World With Tons of People on: 2010 October 16, 02:20:21
I've been looking for a massive world.  One that feels like a big city.  Like Detriot or New York.  I mean tons of buildings and tons of people.  I hate going outside and seeing the same shmucks day in and day out.  How about a huge place where you see new people everyday?  Or a place that isn't deserted at night.  If I go out after dark and all the people are sleeping and no one is outside.  Show me a big city!!
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapify vs. manual .dbc files? on: 2010 February 24, 10:13:11
I think Pes means you should Decrapify your save games.  Try to decrapify all of the files in the save game folder.  I think Jfade's tool lets you do that.  This is just speculation since I haven't had much experience with Decrapification.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Rhoda's Adventures? on: 2010 February 09, 11:42:16
I got the same thing.  It showed up right after I quit writing a fiction novel for the day.  The book was not finished.  It has the same dialog box as the VR Goggles.  I only got 2 prompts and they were the same as yours except with my book name.  I think it has to do with writing books.  I clicked fireball and agility if it matters.  I think these are just nonsense popups that don't have any effect on anything like the VR goggles or when you explore the catacombs.  I'm not going to worry about it.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange Release by Avenged Create A Sim on: 2010 February 05, 03:53:49
Thanks for saving us the time of downloading it.  Just curious what format did it save the sims in?  .sims3pack or .sim?
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange Release by Avenged Create A Sim on: 2010 February 04, 06:22:18
So is it worth downloading if you want to just make some sims for later?  Or should I just go into the real game and bin em?  They will probably save them as .sims3packs not .sims.  Sounds like it is not worth it.  I went and looked for the banner at the official site as suggested but it wasn't clickable to get more information.  Funny stupid the banner has a button that says "Learn More" but it isn't a button.  It just looks like one and can't be clicked.  Is it standalone?  What about custom content?  EA I hate you.  You tell us nothing and make fake buttons!!  Good thing we have Pirate Cat.  But we must not anger Bandwidth Cat.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Strange Release by Avenged Create A Sim on: 2010 February 03, 10:23:58
Anyone know what the heck this is?  What I hope for is a standalone CAS like we had for the Sims 2.  Starting a new game and binning sims is a pain when you just want to create some sims for later.  All my research comes up with nothing useful at all about this release.  I can't find anything on the official website.  I haven't searched the official BBS either, because it is full of useless crap and is unintelligible.

NFO Hump has this:  http://www.nfohump.com/index.php?switchto=nfos&menu=quicknav&item=viewnfo&id=143547

In the nfo this site is mentioned which just tells us what CAS is:  http://www.sims3website.com/sims-3-info/sims-3-create-a-sim/

TPB has it so it must be worth something.  A VIP uploaded it.  http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5329698/Sims.3.Create.A.Sim-AVENGED

If anyone knows what this is please shed some light on the subject.  If someone with time wants to download and install to find out that would be nice.  I'm not in the mood for a 2GB download that might make my game explode into a BFBVFS.  Or is this some L&P money making scheme by EA to sell us stuff we already have?
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: World Adventures Prima Strategy Guide on: 2010 January 25, 22:34:39
You do realize there's a thread up in the Pudding Factory for the Prima Guide already, right?

Nope.  I fail again.  That was twice in a row.  I think I will stop trying to contribute now.  Now we got a mirror!!
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / World Adventures Prima Strategy Guide on: 2010 January 24, 10:07:24
I got a hold of a good copy of the Prima Strategy Guide for World Adventures.  It is in pdf format.  The file is zipped and is around 45 megs.  Take it for what it is worth.  It is the Prima Guide so some or most of the information probably is lies.  I didn't read the whole guide cause it is huge (224 pages).  The useful things I saw from reading it quickly are some maps of collectables and maps with the solution to some of the tombs.  Enjoy.

I can't attach the torrent directly to this post so a link to it on my 4shared account will have to do.  I don't remember what torrent site I downloaded it from so all I can do is give you the torrent.

http://www.4shared.com/file/205843701/d1050a61/Prima_TS3WAzip.html

If necessary I will stick the whole guide on my 4shared account.  The torrent downloaded quickly for me but if someone really wants me to upload the pdf to 4shared I will.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Broken Mood Meter on: 2010 January 12, 02:48:29
The bar problem went away when I installed the freshest copy of AM.  I had the guy loaded up with negative moodlets before and he was still in the greens.  Problem moot now.

Now I am just up doing voodoo debugging to figure out my massive lag problem.  The game thinks its a slideshow.   Graphic settings make no difference.  4 gigs of ram, quad core AMD, Windows 7 64bit.  Cleared cache many times.  Gonna search around more for answers.
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Broken Mood Meter on: 2010 January 11, 21:03:52
It's not a case of tight pants.  AM is the only mod I installed.  I just installed the Sims 3 plus World Adventures yesterday onto my freshly installed Windows 7 64bit.  I will see if Pes uploaded a newer version of AM today and try it out.  If it doesn't work I'll just play sans AM.  Too bad I will have to resinstall and not patch up fully to get my klepto working agian.
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Broken Mood Meter on: 2010 January 11, 10:01:12
My sim's mood meter seems to be stuck in a permanent Elated (maxed) state.  No matter how low my sim's needs are the mood meter is still maxed or in the high greens.  I took AM out of my game and the meter went back to functioning normally.  I have WA and have AM installed into my base game's directory.  Did I find a new bug or am I just special?
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: IMPORTANT DESIGN POLL on: 2009 June 19, 07:35:35
I get very pissed off when I have to use a mouse without a scrolly-wheel.  I constantly use my scrolly-wheel.  For people who can't scrolly-wheel I feel bad for you.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Career Profitability and Perks on: 2009 June 02, 06:15:13
A different time on a different sim that wasn't a criminal I couldn't find the seed after a while.  Maybe they die and disappear from inventory.

Seeds don't die.  Well, if they do, they take an incredibly long time to do so, because my Sim picked up a special seed shortly after I created him in CAS and 17 weeks later, he finally got around to planting it.

Well that is good to know.  Well I am baffled as to where that seed went on the non criminal sim.  Maybe I accidentally dragged it out of the inventory or deleted it.  Who knows I could have planted the darn thing and forgot.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Career Profitability and Perks on: 2009 June 02, 05:50:26
No, you can't rummage your own can.

My sim gets the option to rummage from her garbage can.  I thought it was due to one of her traits.  She is insane evil mean spirited inappropriate and 1 other I forgot.

Also when my sim got taken to jail during work she lost all her inventory.  I got a message about taking my adventures of rymundo so other inmates don't get jealous.  I couldn't find the unknown seed I found either.  A different time on a different sim that wasn't a criminal I couldn't find the seed after a while.  Maybe they die and disappear from inventory.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 May 18, 05:27:54
Beware: There appears to be some sort of bizarre spyware wrap on the installer, although it WILL work if you extract the ISO manually and unrar the installer. Ordinarily, you'd blame dodgy uploaders for this, but with EAxis, you never know...especially since I found out about it because it's a repeated behavior from...another EAxis game!

I don't have it fully downloaded yet.  Do you mean there is spyware inside the ISO?  I am confused by what you just warned me about.

This blog has it at many free hosts.  Check it out.  It might be faster than the torrent.

PCGamer must have got an advanced copy of the Sims 3.  To my surprise the July 2009 issue which came already had a review of The Sims 3.  So I scanned it.  You can get the article in PDF or a RAR of JPGs.  Pick your flavor.  I hope I didn't waste my time scanning and editing this article.  Tell me your reactions.

If mirrors are needed tell me where to upload it.

Thanks for all your help.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fix AL Physiology Bork Without Commskilling on: 2008 October 25, 04:32:57
Thanks for clearing up the confusion.  I think I have a few sims affected by the bug that got infected before I patched.  I did patch when it came out but I still noticed some sims getting quick skill gain.  I may need to test it more to confirm this.  Is there a way to reset their IQ?
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Fix AL Physiology Bork Without Commskilling on: 2008 October 23, 07:34:03
Is there a fix for the super quick skill gain without getting commskilling?  I feel like commskilling is cheating.  Plus the new no 20k handout added to it I really DO NOT WANT.  If there is no fix here did someone else fix it?
