There's no such syndrome amongst sim nation...
Unless you mess around with simPE I didn't even know about simPE back then; it just happened on its own. The child came back from school as a toddler. Go figure. After her mom randomly aged up the next day at 6 and then died of old age the day after, I just trashed the whole neighborhood and started from scratch! This simPE thing interests me, though; does that mean you can safely create sims who look like one age category and act like another?

How about having Dance ban yoga instead of stereos?
Suggestion for Intelligence: Teaching toddler skills (walk/talk/potty/nursery rhyme); move passing along business perks.
If we came up with a good set of rules, I guess we could suggest that they become the official set?
Oh, and Paranormal needs to ban some or all of the magic stuff from AL. Architecture could set restrictions on apartments, but I'm not sure whether that would actually be any kind of handicap. somebody who has AL will have to chip in on that one.

That was under method 2. But yeah, I can't very well refuse to pay the mob, so it's got to be something like that. I'm doing something I'm not sure is legal--but is it permissible not to lift Hopelessness with your founder? I have an adult-start with a Pleasure sim founder and bad luck with jobs. She's female so she can have an heir without moving anyone in. I've just never seen it done before so I don't know if it's legal, but most people start in college...

Regarding the criminal restriction--If you're using method 3, paying $150 times the number of weeks, and you don't have enough cash, what do you do? Do you have to switch to one of the other methods, or can you sell off items for the money? That should be prohibited by the Business restriction normally but I get the feeling that it's more realistic to give the mob your extra furniture than to say "I don't have enough"... Technically, using the sell-and-re-buy method you'd end up not having enough money to re-buy stuff... opinions? any official word?

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Keeping toddlers warm/cool

Just a note: I only got Seasons a week and a half ago. So I'm new to this. Meaning: probably newbie questions coming up. I've been playing around with Seasons and the e-mail challenge. Timing kids so that the baby and toddler stages fall during spring or fall means it isn't actually a big problem; but if I set the seasons to some combination of winter and summer, I always lose the rugrat to the social worker before he grows to Child and I can cool him down or warm him up. (This would be even more of a challenge with e-mail+ethiopian, because most things that change a sim's temperature also involve running water or food. I'm going to try to tackle that next.) Is it possible to raise or lower a toddler's temperature? If not, can you prevent him being taken by the SW? I was thinking, for winter, to put him in Outerwear and let him sleep on the floor so he doesn't have to change to PJs for bed... but the first day the temperature is extreme, he still gets too cold. Does the nanny barricade thing still work? Anybody have a full list of stuff that changes sims' temperature? Obviously: lemonade, tomato juice, coffee, hot chocolate, showers (but not bathing toddlers), exercise, and the randomness of the weather. Those are the ones I know. I could be forgetting one or two. I've read: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,7656.0.htmlbut that's not specifically what I need...

1. Build pool. 2. Carve out middle. 3. Put ladder on middle island. 4. Put diving board leading into the pool from outside. 5. Build house on middle island. 6. 7. PROFIT ... Evidently my brain has gone to vacation in Hawaii someplace, and decided to stay there... Duh. Thank you.

With the exception of challenge games. I've seen a challenge where to get a perfect score you basically have to have fifty dream first dates with negative-chemistry matches, without using love potion. It sounds kind of boring to me; to do it, you'd just have to build up fifty 100/100 friendships with negative-chemistry people, get the date, and flirt once for insta-love. I don't know if there are enough negative-chemistry townies to do it; you might have to create your own. But some people find it interesting, I guess.

I've had a happy pet die of old age who did occasionally scare his owners; but never more than once every few nights... Do we know whether happy ghosts don't scare as often, or do they just tend to do more helpful things?
Have you tried selling whatever item the pet used most in life? I've heard that annoys ghosts. Or, anyway, I've seen ghosts throwing hissy fits with a stolen espresso machine in their thought bubbles.
If you REALLY want to see ghost action, run a black widow challenge. The challenge starts to be keeping your sim alive, rather than just rounding up the next victim. (Also, it's fun when you want to be sadistic.)

Yeah, it's all about lot-building... I'm experimenting currently with building a lot on which one or more sims could live from CAS-adult to natural death without my ever touching the mouse. It's probably possible, but I'm depending on redundancy soo much that I'm having to use money cheats. I mean... twelve refrigerators? The repo man is bound to take one or two, and if there's only a couple left, sims will obviously go juggle bottles or pass out in front of them or sit down to hang out in front of them... Plus: Vermin. Somebody in the neighborhood WILL be mean enough to kick over your garbage can, and then your sims spend all their time starving and squishing roaches. Surrounding the house with water would work fine, if that didn't mean the sims were trapped at the curb... Fortune sims will eventually go into aspiration failure, and spend all their time begging... Umm... I'd like to say this is some grand experiment, but really, I just kinda like laughing at the stupid Sims.

I just re-read the rules, and there's nothing that says you can't--provided you buy the elixir yourself and fulfill the sim's LTW (meaning you can't use it to force-age after you do so). Plus there's the platinum tombstone thing, so you can't safely force-age an elder too much anyway.
Unless I am missing something?
Oh, and I finally got the idea to search for "multiples glitch" instead of "triplet glitch"... which got me the answer (it's a known bug that happens when the birth loops). I'm just glad I haven't ended up like some people, with six babies or something equally (near-?) impossible.

I'm playing the e-mail challenge, and before I had my founder marry, I got his skills maxed. (I figured he wasn't going to have much time to max them afterwards. Boy was I right... the three-bolt match I found for him had NINE neat points. Thank goodness for macros... I just aged him with elixir and had him encourage her down to zero.) [Edited: Had been "force-aged", which caused confusion.]
Anyway, while maxing Logic, he got abducted, with predictable results. The pregnancy was normal... but when he gave birth, there were THREE babies. It looked just like three single births, one after another (no "two babies" dialog--generated and named them all separately, went into labor three times, three separate memories, etc.). The babies are not clones, though they are all boys (small mercies!); I can tell already because their eyes and noses are different.
Any idea what caused this? No cheesecake, no force twins, no hacks relating to pregnancy or multiples. I've had no other glitches on the lot at all, except for the maid, who for some reason freezes up occasionally and has to be deleted.
I have Sims 2 Deluxe, University, and Pets. (Well, I own OFB and Seasons too, but I've made myself promise to wait a week, until finals are over, because if I didn't I'd never get any studying done. Anyway, I've heard e-mail is kinda broken with those EPs, so it's all for the best.)...
Umm... so. Alien triplets. Anybody ever seen this before?
Oh, and a rules question: Was I right to move in the woman my sim is obsessing over? Or, because the babies are not hers, is that against the rules? If so, can I "fix" it by having her have a baby too?
