This is L&P bc I cant find where I read it but EA is doing this bc they want to get out of PC games and strictly do platform games.    If PC game sales go down enough they will discontinue producing them.

I have almost the same exact computer.  Your sound card is probably incompatible and thats why music stutters and also why you game probably lags too.  Despite the other crappy specs, if I disable the sound drivers I dont have any lag.  I have even left my game on for 3 days and it played fine.  Many people with better computers cant even do that.

Unfortunately mine is a slim case tower so its completely not upgradeable anymore, except RAM which when I get my other computer working more RAM is going into it.  Right now its getting another videocard.


eta:  when I first got TS2 I only had 256MB of RAM

If MOAR ram meant more twins I'd stick with my measly 512.  I have enough twins thanx.  BTW, silliest thing I ever heard.

Keep in mind that when you age an elder to adult they don't necessarily get their genetic color.  All 4 Maxis colors share the same gray.   I have aged Mortimer down many times and he aged down to all 4 colors.

In my game Mortimer's daughter with Dina had brown hair. His son with Bella had black hair with brown recessive.  If he was genetically blonde that would not be the case. 


I just went about replacing mine.  I just never thought about it bc its been a while since an alien has been born in my game.  Now that Im starting to play Strangetown again though I have to worry about what the spawns will look like.

I haven't patched, maybe I should send someone on vacation.  Actually I just sent Pes on vacation and no charlatan showed up.  I did have more locals than the last time a went.

I always create a sim with a Maxis hairstyle or custom hairstyle that is properly binned. If I want a sim to have a custom binned hairstyle I change it later.  Otherwise everyone in the family for a couple of generations will have the same hairstyle. 

You can change custom hair, skin, and eyes to act more Maxis-like with Simpe or Wardrobe Wrangler. A link to Wardrobe Wrangler is a couple or so threads down.

Yes, that extra step involves causing something to throw an error.

I read that if you move the family while a pet has run away then the animal will be removed from the family and placed in the adoption pool.  Maybe you could try that.  It was in the Prima Guide so I don't know how true it is.

Main reason for any of these to not be working is they are disabled.    Replace .off with .package.  You might want to go through all of your downloads and check that.

For the Capps most of the men took the name of the wives so I went and changed them to the men's maiden names.  For the Monty's its different bc their all males except Bianca so I gave them the wives maiden names.  Now everyone has a different last name.  I used the lot debugger in debug mode to change their last names bc I hear you not supposed to with SimPe.

I didnt have sound errors until University.  Now I have to disable my sound drivers before I play so it doesnt lag.  Myaudio device also isnt compatible with the game so I never bothered updating the drivers bc I didnt think it would matter

Last time I tried moving tombstones through inventory duplicates spawned. 

Im wondering if attaching a ghost to a downloadable tomstone is ok.  I have tombstones by Cathair that I havent used but I know that you can assign ghosts to them.

I love the food stands and just discovered that the stools are a seperate part of the object and can be replaced.   I had fun with CAS in debug mode making a fake bigfoot and the sauna towels are available in underwear section.  I was also suprised to see that vacation houses can be sold in a real estate business.  I figured they would be like regular houses.  My favorite thing to do is dig for treasure, I have made a couple of sims do that all day.  I can finally build a proper Spa location although I wish they would have made a couple of the Sims 1 spa objects.  My sims have also taken tons of pictures with their cameras.  Im really happy about that addition and the pose menu.  Its cool that they can also order a framed picture or an album.

Wedgetail once had a problem with Cyd looking for a job except it was crashing their game.  I dont think there was a solution

Places that arent used to snow always get snowdays bc they dont know how to act.  When I lived in Colorado we never got snow days unless it snowed 8 feet and blocked the doors.
