101  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Aner-Dyfan's AwesomeSpec House 1 on: 2008 January 12, 22:53:28
Not bad. Don't really see the point in having four bathrooms and two desks, though. Another annoying thing is when you put the fridge so that a wall is on the right. It makes it look like sims are opening the fridge door right into the wall.

you should see the amount of barfrooms in the house I am currently building. It's closer to 5 per sim than to 1 per 5 sims. Well, it should be about 1:1 on maximum capacity filled, which is way larger than Maxis accepts

this is the fattest pet I've seen.

Nothing against my Wump, which however due to creation date and motivations does not qualify.
103  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Crammyboy's nudist hack v2.07 (updated for Bon Voyage) on: 2008 January 09, 16:21:10
Reason for necro-ing the thread.

I have noticed that my sims no longer get nude on their own, no matter the outgoing score. In fact, they all just want to run about in their undies, which while funny, just isn't the same. And, by all, I mean all of them be they shy or outgoing. I did have the original CB hack up until BV, and always had a few nudists running about, no more. Is this a feature or a bug? I'm using awesome hacks and the insim.

what do sims report on adjust.../naked options.../display naked score ?

Doubtful, otherwise no sane coder would intentionally produce the jumbled disorientated spaghetti that passes as code.
Do you really consider EAxis coders sane?

how did you make those vampire-safe semi-indoor rooms? just a covered deck that only leaves its cover by stairs, gates and doors?
107  The Bowels of Trogdor / The Small Intestines of Trogdor / Re: Hackdiff SeaP2 --> BV on: 2007 September 08, 07:05:52
With doors, there is the problem that each EP needs new handling.
Take the locking system in OfB, the pet routines in Pets and the Outerwear change in Seasons.
108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis Broke the Pescado Beard in Black on: 2007 July 22, 11:11:30
You said, "even if enabled". I take it that it was a hidden hat? The beard in question has been there since the base game and worked correctly before.

Yeah, it's hidden, but when modified not to be hidden, it still doesn't show up.

Stupid EAxis...
109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis Broke the Pescado Beard in Black on: 2007 July 16, 13:46:25
sounds like the pirate hat syndrome. the male pirate hat, even if enabled, does not show up.
110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Best of the Best (CC sites that is) on: 2007 July 15, 21:11:41
Numenor and xanathon (at least his scifi stuff) at MTS2. Also stuff by echo and such. However, that does not mean that MTS2 is perfect. There are many things I don't like, even among the features.
And I like simlogical. There is stuff by Inge that I use as much as some awesomeware. For example her security system (which I need to upgrade and reinstall, by the way) and the clothes changing system. Well, not the original one, but rather mine, which however is based on hers (I took some of the menu options and used it as a base, but all but the clothing options and the NPC check are original code nowadays. That's why my solution works on diagonals and has a few more triggers to make sure that the dresscode is enforced properly).

113  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Business mnakes no money when I am at home on: 2007 March 27, 15:57:26
I think it's "maleficent."

I mean, unless that's intentional.

From male (bad) + ficare (to make or do).

</ language geek >

isn't it "facere", which is turned to "-ficere" when used with a prefix? I don't see ficare in my latin-german dictionary.

then it might just be "Malificent", as malus is declinated the same way as magnus, and magnus results in magnificent.
however, my dictionary says maleficent is right. probably it's the sound of the word or something like that.
114  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clothes Controller (Seasons) on: 2007 March 27, 15:49:19
syberspunk:
changing the instance number makes modding far easier as in any other case, you would have to change every single door in your game if you want it to work with this mod.

second: did you follow the instructions correctly? I have no idea why they don't change. If Nounneededcodes has been successfully merged with this, the only explainable reason could be a feature of nounneededcoats. Certain types of "strange" sims (the ones not affected by cold) are forced not to change with that mod installed.

third: the clothes controller itself is available in "decorative/paintings". It looks like a small box that sits inside the top of the wall.

fourth (referring to your second part): I'd suggest you read the description of nounneededcoats (I HATE typing that) again:
Quote
ANNOYANCES ELIMINATED:
Sims that don't need coats because they can't freeze should no longer bother
to waste time wearing them. Because it's all about the cape.
115  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clothes Controller (Seasons) on: 2007 March 26, 14:40:11
the conflicting function has
a) always been optional in my mod and
b) not been necessary for full operation in either.
116  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Clothes Controller (Seasons) on: 2007 March 25, 17:38:48
Hi,
Some of you might have heard about my clothes controller, a stupid helpful object based on the Ingelogical Clothes Change System.

A little background information: Inge was getting tired of updating stuff for each EP, so I did some research on how to make it work without global use. While it worked, there were some rare scenarios which caused my project to fail. For these scenarios, I put the globals back in, but as an optional file. Since one of the globals is often changed in each EP, I referenced a modified copy of the original BHAV instead of incorporating my code in there. This BHAV has been put into a seperate file for easy updating.
I also inserted another global which helps sims actually stay dressed properly once inside.

Files included:
1) fatd-clothescontroller.package - Main package containing object. Theoretically works standalone.
2) fatd-clothescontroller-changerglobal.package - Forces Sims to respect controller's settings when redressing.
3) fatd-clothescontroller-doormod.package - Helpful for changing at the door to the room. Prevents the rare situation of Sims not being correctly redressed. Requires 4).
4) fatd-clothescontroller-doormod-epbit.package - Modify this file for your EPs and hacks if it doesn't fit. Only to be used with 3).

This mod is compatible with all awesome hacks except nounneededcoats. For nounneededcoats, you need to modify nounneededcoats.package and delete 4).

Installation (without nounneededcoats):
1. Download the file
2. Extract 1) to any place in your download dir.
3 (OPTIONAL). Extract 2) to any place in your download dir.
4 (OPTIONAL). Extract 3) and 4) to any place in your download dir.

Installation (with nounneededcoats):
1. Download the file
2. Extract 1) to any place in your download dir.
3 (OPTIONAL). Extract 2) to any place in your download dir.
4 (OPTIONAL).
- a. Extract 3) to any place in your download dir.
- b. Open nounneededcoats.package in your favorite package editor (in this example SimPE modern v61d)
- c. change the instance ID of the BHAV "Function - Portal - SG" to 228E and save.
(for SimPE this means: Open the file, select the BHAV,  choose "Resource" at the far bottom end of the window, enter 0x0000228E in the text box next to "instance", click "force commit" and save the file).

Download can be found at MTS2 or as  an attachment to this thread.

WARNING: The fix for nounneededcoats does not conform to the security guidelines of nounneededcoats. Neither Flying Fish Systems nor I are responsible for any damage done to you or your game.

is the inability for children to stay nude an anti-pedo-measure by you, one by EAxis, a bug by you or an EAxis bug? or is it my game?
120  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: ARRR!!! Pirate Hats for your Sims (YF/AF) - Pics unthumbnailed on: 2007 March 03, 07:12:57
that is odd... the male one is selectable by any random chooser, but not visible in CAS. will try mirrors and bodyshop.

I have been unsuccessful in extracting the male equivalent. sometthing keeps it from showing up.

123  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / ARRR!!! Pirate Hats for your Sims (YF/AF) - Pics unthumbnailed on: 2007 March 02, 09:11:16
Arr!

These are pirate hats found in seasons (using debug mode) as a hairstyle for (Young) Adult Females.
This file enables them for outside debug mode.
All colors, seasons required.

125  The Bowels of Trogdor / The Small Intestines of Trogdor / Re: SimPE Must Be Destroyed! on: 2007 January 03, 21:04:39
I agree with you. SimPE uses way too much memory (with more than 3 copies there is no longer any chance to be efficient) and loads the whole game for no reason whenever you load it. WHY? why can't it load the stuff only if/when it is needed? why isn't there an option to just read some bloated things like BHAV names from a short table instead of searching the whole file table for it?
