1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Tips on causing a BFBVFS on: 2013 December 22, 00:15:56
For TS2?
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cow Mascot Problem on: 2013 December 19, 06:05:58
Actually, it hasn't been doing any of its annoying uni activities (pranking people, flirting and having pillow fights with uninterested people, etc.), it's just behaving like every other walkby with 10 outgoing points.  The annoying part is that it shows up every day, when it shouldn't even be in this hood in the first place.  Would bringing down the relationship make it go away?

I guess I could always kill it, you're right.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Cow Mascot Problem on: 2013 December 16, 05:22:02
On the off-chance that someone knowledgeable here still plays this game...

My romance sim had three bolts with the cow mascot, so I let her romance him after she graduated and went back to the main hood.  This turned out to be a mistake, as now the cow mascot strolls by every single day and invites himself into the house to engage in naked hottubbing, regardless of the fact that I have localwalkby installed and APO set up on the lot to ban "hostile"s and "disruptive"s (I imagine the cow mascot must fall into at least one of those categories).  It was kind of amusing the first couple days, as my sim's mother used to beat up the cow mascot in college and is more than happy to return to her pastime, but now I'm getting kind of annoyed.  Anyone know why this is happening, and how I can stop it?

Is that a yes or a no for the last question?
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Does a pet meeting itself cause BFBVFS? on: 2013 July 14, 04:46:55
I was playing a lot with knowledge sims who wanted to be werewolves and using jfade's wolf attracting sign for this purpose, and two pack leaders with the same name showed up on the same night and got into a fight with each other.  I thought they might have just rolled the same name by accident (my werewolf-seeking sim seemed to have different relationships with them) but then a different pack leader with a different name showed up, too.  I exited the lot without saving, just in case, but what is the Awesome word on this subject?  Can multiple instances like this be safely deleted if they haven't interacted with each other yet?
6  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: "No disc inserted.....blah, blah, blah" on: 2012 February 04, 06:43:28
Just use a no-cd crack, like everyone else does, and you won't have to worry about actual discs anymore.  And it's entirely possible that you've scratched your M&G disc into unrecognizability. independently of either your drive, SecuROM, or your music CDs.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jeffistani hacks on: 2011 December 29, 20:54:54
GoldenSimmer has been gone for YEARS and he is #1.

Well yes, that was my point - you seem more than a little creepy and obsessive in general, and being one of the focal points for your obsession is not exactly happy fun times, although I imagine that you must probably feel the same way all the time because of your rabid paranoia.

Like, take this thread as an example. I was sporking the Jeffistanis, and then in #grah Trepie goes "I should make sure I have those hacks", so I thought "he might not be the only one, I'll put them in my bucket" and so I did, and then I posted to that effect. NONE OF THIS WAS REMOTELY ABOUT YOU until you made it about you.

I understand why you are hosting the hacks, and it's a good idea.  The Jeffistanis do seem like morons, and I have no real problem with what you posted there.  It's just that, technically, you know, your post was not exactly full of helpful kindness; there's nothing particularly wrong with that, but there's no reason for you to go patting yourself on the back for being a good Samaritan.  I realize it may be difficult for you to grok this, but not everything I say to you is an attack of some kind.  (You are doubtless going to intentionally misinterpret this as some kind of passive-aggressive attack.  Oh well, I tried.)  In fact, this thread only became about me after you said

You know, for someone who accuses me of stalking his every post, rufio sure managed to find this randomly buried thread pretty fast. Are you going to accuse me of starting a thread just to troll you, now rufio?

So, to sum up, I am stalking you because I tend to haunt a part of the forum that you apparently rarely visit, and tend to respond to threads with titles dealing with things that usually don't seem to interest you.  Gotcha.

Also, rufio, you fucktard, the Senate post to punish JEZZER was moved by SOOZE and seconded by JESSLLA. How is that about MY obsession with YOU?

It's not.  It was a reminder of things that happened when I started posting again in November, since you seemed to have forgotten that that was last month and not yesterday.  (Jeebus, Jezzer, whatever.  I'm out of the loop now.)
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jeffistani hacks on: 2011 December 29, 08:02:27
I didn't just come back today, you know; it was actually around Grammar Day - there was a Senate motion to punish jeebus for summoning me Beetlejuice-style, even!  Mostly, it was discovering that even though I hadn't posted at all since August, I was apparently still your #3 enemy (right after two other people who haven't been around in yonks).  I found it kind of horrifying and creepy that might have  been sitting around for three months just thinking about how terrible I was.  And then you had to add me to your next few threads, and even made a poll about me!  This seems like an unnecessary level of obsession, just saying.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jeffistani hacks on: 2011 December 29, 06:34:29
Now you know what it feels like to come back to a site you haven't visited for months and months and find that one particular person is still referring to you in basically every single one of her posts.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jeffistani hacks on: 2011 December 29, 04:58:09
It wasn't randomly buried - it was the only new thread in one of the two or so forums I still check on a regular basis here.  Also, the title contained "hacks", which has become a sort of flashing beacon saying THIS THREAD IS WORTH READING for me.  Disappointing, ultimately.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jeffistani hacks on: 2011 December 29, 04:01:01
Then why are you in the TS2 forum, jezzer?

Yeah, they were being pretty thick and unnecessarily butthurt, but you were undeniably trolling.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jeffistani hacks on: 2011 December 29, 03:49:34
Since you were, by your own admission, attempting to get yourself banned in honor of the Great Souping, I don't think they were wrong.
13  The Bowels of Trogdor / The Small Intestines of Trogdor / Re: Set to Next family member Spouse on: 2011 December 26, 05:30:41
Is there another common method of locating the sim's spouse?  Granted, I haven't done a thorough search, but the methods I've seen involve calling BHAVs which themselves just call Set To Next, although they usually use Set to Next 9C or A4.  For example, EAxis's original borked in-laws check called 0x261, which calls Set To Next A4, as I mentioned.
14  The Bowels of Trogdor / The Small Intestines of Trogdor / Re: [Modding]Set to Next family member Spouse on: 2011 December 25, 02:56:25
Ah, I did not know Set to Next could loop endlessly on some settings - good to know.  By "loop", you mean it would go back to NID 0 at some point, so you could just check for 0 and break?  Well, and start with 1.  Does it actually go all the way to unsigned -1, or is there some hard-coded maximum NID?

ETA:  Now that I am not tired, I can think better.  You'd actually have to call it once to save the NID of the first spouse and then compare for that in the loop body, and now that I think about it, it must return false if it never finds any spouse at all - I had a good 30 seconds of error-free game before a sim with an actual spouse showed up and tried to interact with people.  I get that EA never imagined that you'd ever want to call this more than once in succession, but you'd think the primitives would at least be consistent.

I know there is not supposed to be more than one spouse (which kind of raises the question of why EA decided that should be a StN option, really), but that can't be assumed when you have e.g. the polygamy arch, and it's nice when having polygamous sims doesn't break in-law relationships.
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Miscellaneous hacks by rufio [New 12/24/11: New job hacks and inlaws fix update] on: 2011 December 25, 00:48:38
* rufio dusts off year-old thread

Merry Christmas to you, too, Necromancer.

I finally got around to updating InlawsFixNew, which I meant to do ages ago.  Also, a hack to make it easier to hire OFB employees, and a hack to keep townies from being auto-employed by the game.  (I still have future plans for other things for when I get time to work on them.)
16  The Bowels of Trogdor / The Small Intestines of Trogdor / Set to Next family member Spouse on: 2011 December 24, 21:01:54
Does anyone know what this actually does?  It appears to be made of fail, since I tried to use it, and could not see for all the Too Many Iterations errors.  (For comparison, using rel var 1 & temp 1 with temp 1 = marriage bit, as in x261 had no problems in the same context.)  What's it for, and why does it suck so much?  The only place I've ever seen it is in x20E.

Try the puddingforum.  This is the TS2 forum.  Why is this concept so hard?
18  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 09, 03:11:19
Hopefully you're done spamming this forum with GO TO PMBD OKAY too.
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 09, 02:58:47
Can't you read, Jezzer?  I don't give a shit if they like TS2.  I care if they actually know what the hell they are talking about, and talk about things that are actually of interest to me.  The times I have lurked there have not made it seem as if they do, but perhaps rohina has some evidence of the pirates' great TS2 mastery to share.
20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 08, 23:58:03
Maybe I am wrong, because I do not actually post at PMBD and have been there only maybe a handful of times (and that was mostly just to read the Waltgate thread, TBH), but PMBD seems to be primarily concerned with the booty, and with paysites and payshit and how everyone hates it, not with actual game mechanics.  I would wager that if I had an actual question about TS2 game behavior, I would have an approximately 500% better chance of getting an accurate answer here (yes, in this forum that no one ever posts in, ever) than at PMBD.  It is not "helping" to send people off to inferior sites to receive inferior learnings.
21  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 08, 20:05:10
Why?  She actually is not even in this episode, despite her best attention-seeking efforts.  I'm used to her randomly butting into unrelated conversations to accuse me of raping her, but in this case it's your insistence on invading TS2 discussions just to say that no one who's anyone plays TS2 anymore that's pissing me off.
22  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 08, 18:52:50
Holy crap, rufio posted in the same thread as someone else.  ZOMGSTALKER!!!!  I didn't even bother responding to you until you insisted on continuing to wank ineffectually.
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 08, 03:50:02
Does that mean you're done being butthurt over the fact that people actually still play and enjoy TS2?
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 08, 03:18:05
Yeah, behaving like a retarded troll pisses people off.  Who knew?
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: TS2 AL - guests not want to die ... again -.- on: 2011 June 08, 02:55:54
Jezzer, if no one here had any interest in TS2, Awesomeland The Original wouldn't still update and this forum wouldn't exist, and Pescado would not continue to respond to posts made in the TS2 hack forum.  If you really have this much undying dedication to the Pudding, GTFO and go find somewhere to post where someone gives a shit about you.  I don't go into the Pudding subforums and respond to every single thread by discussing all the myriad ways in which the Pudding sucks.

As for the question, what Pescado actually said five years ago was that sims couldn't die if they were doing an interaction they couldn't stop.  He never answered the question of why trapped sims repeatedly get the Leave interaction, thus preventing them from ever dying, and that wasn't something that always used to happen.  If you don't know anything about this game and don't even play it, why are you always here giving advice to people who have been playing it for years?  Are you aiming to be the next Shouty Vole?
