The link to the download that is available for people who do NOT have a registered copy of The Sims 3, which is required by EA to download from their website, you mean? If so I tried it, and installed it, and it said it was outdated.
You don't need to register if you use direct link to the file. Search the forum, it doesn't hurt.

Anyhow, just a little thought: Wouldn't it be possible to implement the vamps food favorite, O+ as a trait that could be given through awesome?

Such as that, all vampires who feed off of this sim would get the "sanguine snack" moodlet, disregarding the "hunt" option. It would be nothing short of someone actually having superior blood - full time.

No, because that's easy-ass in comparison to actually having to use the hunt option, find and befriend the prey, then lure it somewhere private to drink from (if you want to avoid public disgrace).

Did anyone else notice that garlic is making vampires sick? Loled a bit at that.

Scold me if you like, but I have to ask it. I want to download the current Create-A-World, however I cannot download it using The Sims 3 website as I do not have a Registered copy of the game. If possible can someone please upload it somewhere? I have been searching Google and this website but have not found a link for the CURRENT version that works with Late Night. My apologies if I still happened to have over looked something.

The link remains the same. You need to search MOAR. It's been posted here at least a dozen times.

I actually didn't know they were at the grocery store. Probably because I never check it.
Yes, you can buy them for 30 or raid the store and get some for free. Reportedly you can get caught for stealing but I haven't so far.
30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New computer: Should I upgrate processor and RAM? on: 2010 November 01, 21:11:30
Very basic question is what are you gonna use it for: just sims/other games or maybe mainly graphic processing tasks, because that calls for different config. I'm sure forumers can share knowledge and experience, but basic info is required.
31  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New computer: Should I upgrate processor and RAM? on: 2010 November 01, 17:56:42
At this point in time 8GB RAM is absolute overkill. I've got 4GB and when playing the sims, running Win 7 x64 with couple of apps in the background it's using slightly above 2GB total. I suppose that by the time you actually need 8GB you'll need to replace the whole computer. (also, check if the motherboard is dual or triple channel. Don't install 3 modules in a dual or 2 in a triple, because that'll lead to performance loss)
Also, consider AM3 instead of Intel. Last time I checked they were cheaper for comparable performance.

What's with you and insisting on free plasma fruit? Is it so hard to raid grocery store for them?
33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 EPs on External Hard Drive? on: 2010 October 31, 20:57:31
How did you change the location of the MyDocuments folder and keep it connected to the game? I would like to move it somewhere other than MyDocuments but as far as I know, just moving it makes the game make a new one.
Probably moved My Documents folder. R-click/Properties/Location. You probably should've figured that out yourself...
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 31, 18:32:33
Also, is this EP horrible jerky and slow for anyone else?  I've never had problems before with other eps being so slow.  It seems like it's just processing so much in the background that it constantly stutters and pauses for short times making the game anything but smooth playing.  This is vanilla too.
It did seem slower to me. I assumed the high-rise buildings were to blame. I didn't remove my cache files, though, have you?
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Vampires on: 2010 October 31, 18:27:10
Perhaps a mechanic were a vampire feeding off of another sim replenishes his thrist motive by draining the target sims hunger motive by an equal amount?  In which case an especially thirsty vampire might end up killing his meal (and possibly turning them as well) if they're not careful.
I like this idea.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Vampires on: 2010 October 31, 16:22:17
Although my 6AM comment was more on a personal playstyle level, my sims may be kicked out at 4, but the other patrons tend to hang out outside after that, mine included.

Sure, you can completely ignore that comment, it was just me reminded of the issue and wondering if I'm the only one surprised/not exactly pleased with it Wink
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 EPs on External Hard Drive? on: 2010 October 31, 15:33:01
I remember having no problem with some sims 2 expansions being on a different drive than the other, so not the issue probably. I'd be more worried about access time since as far as I know communication with external drive is slower than internal SATA. You could back-up your saves and test it (i.e. not touch what you already have there, install NL on the external drive), if it's unplayable then remove LN for now and invest in a larger internal drive maybe (unless you're using a laptop, then it's probably not an option).

Is anyone else having issues with no mixologists being on duty?  I've been to several different bars on different nights and only the first night I went to one place did I get a mixologist.  Every other location and night there was no one, meaning no drinks or food. A lot of the time there is someone in the bar labeled mixologist, but they are never on duty.

No such problem in my game. Playing with AM only.
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Vampires on: 2010 October 30, 21:12:38
Stuck at a bar when 6AM rolls around? Have fun hanging out in the lobby all day, lest you die on the way home. Stuff like that.

Don't bars close at like 2-4AM in the game? (I thought it should be like 6AM, but again I have no experience with real-life bars, so maybe it's a realistic closing time)

Clearly people don't want dracula.

Doesn't matter what they want, you can't make everyone happy when putting vampires anywhere, simply because there are so many interpretations. I'm pretty happy with Dracula interpretation and think it would actually be funny if they were sex predators, but it's a 12's-friendly game, so they can't obviously do that. No instant death in the sun is actually there for practical reasons, too, as mentioned several posts above. And I guess the coders didn't want to make it impossible to fulfill most of the opportunities for vampire sims.

Besides, there are so many screw-ups in this EP, vampires are like least of the problems.

The vampires seem to show up in mirrors, and that's just wrong.
I think that one is for the sake of graphic engine sanity. Reflections are reflections in the game, if they wanted to omit some elements in those, they'd need a separate render, as far as I know, which would be quite resource-heavy.
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Vampires on: 2010 October 30, 16:07:25
What do you want people? Dracula could walk in the sun except he'd lose his powers if he did. This is EXACTLY what happens with vampires in NL.
42  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Vampires on: 2010 October 30, 14:27:03
Has anyone had any vamp children yet? Do they age properly? I know I read they can't drink from another sim until YA, that would be good to change. I was kinda looking foward to having little creepy evil vamp children running around.

I played the Hemlocks for a bit. The kids age normally, have normal needs etc. until becoming YA. The only vampire features I noticed were the vampire look and ability to drink from the plasma juice boxes, possibly also eat plasma fruits without the sick moodlet, but I didn't try that.
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 29, 12:16:59
But it might also be worth checking if those who have the problem are playing sans AM, or with AM-test version, or with out-of-date AM (/are mad)?

Good idea. I play with AM, all eps/sps, no other mods or CC, stalker swarm on. Computer is 4 cores, 4GB RAM, GeForce GTS 250. No problems for me.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 29, 04:35:53
All people who complain about lack of sims in clubs - how good is your computer? With slower computers the game will allow less non-player sims on a lot, which I know from experience since I played the game on a crappy computer and I see a huge difference on the new computer.
I didn't observe the clubs being deserted. There's usually 3-8 sims there, it looks like usual npcs per lot in the sims 3. If there were more it would probably result in even bigger route failing horror.

Anyway, I too observed a sim being unable to fulfill opportunity at the bookstore, while that same opportunity worked for another sim in the same household. I'm also disappointed that my sim's band never gets any gig invitations and I have no idea how I'm supposed to solve this issue.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 28, 08:32:04
I just did some build work and on the lot I was doing, there was a garbage can at street level.
I couldn't see any magnifying glass icon while rotating around the lot, that's why I assumed it was glitchy.
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Mixing retail and direct download. on: 2010 October 28, 08:26:11
I believe it's been discussed before. The answer is yes. If you use AwesomeMod you don't need a crack so your game files are exactly the same.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 27, 23:27:48
They don't turn right away, you have to wait for them to slowly die. It takes about a day or two.
Oh well, that explains a lot. I'm kinda disappointed that the "lessons" section neglected to mention it.

Major fail with investigator profession. Sims might get a case to search through sims' garbage on sims that live in a apartment and don't have garbage cans. I suspect more of such problems with the investigator profession.
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 27, 22:54:32
I had a sim ask to be turned and she got stuck with "bitten" moodlet, but not turned into a vampire. I had to remove the moodlet and ask again for it to work.
49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night Arr on: 2010 October 27, 22:51:38
Have they already updated CAW? that's odd it was not mentioned in patch notes. is it updated with Late night as in, it has new stuff from LN?
I'm just wondering because I haven't had a good answer asking in the stupid EA noob Forum. All they reply with, is "IDK I DONT USE CAW" I mean wtf!

Dunno, what problem is it to download and install? It's not like it sets your computer on fire. If it's not updated it will yell about version incompatibility.
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.17/2.12/3.8/4.5/5.2 on: 2010 October 27, 18:51:43
So, a "full patch" is actually NOT a full patch, b/c it only updates either BG or EPs/SPs. Why are we calling it full patch then?
Because it updates from any version of the game to the newest one, as opposed to normal patches which update from specific version to specific version (eg. from x.0 to x.2).
