1876  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: OFB Community Lot Car Bug on: 2006 March 13, 21:16:46
I played my sim family in Bluewater that owned a home business and they never had a problem closing shop, but then again, they don't own a car.
1877  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis does it again! on: 2006 March 13, 21:14:01
I would love to get in on that action as well.

Oh yeah, as an after thought: Sanmoo's femininity hair is properly binned. I know this for sure because I got all upset when I realized my alpha edit of her hairstyles were not binned anymore. =p
1878  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The cheesecake thing on: 2006 March 13, 21:11:42
Either way, I would rather have 50% chance than 100% O_o

And twins are a pain in the neck. I thought getting pregnant right after giving birth was bad (trying to care for an infant while running to the bathroom and hurling), my poor simmies that had the twins haven't been able to open their shop since they gave birth! Poor things.
1879  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The cheesecake thing on: 2006 March 13, 21:00:13
I always assumed it stood for "Holy" but I am kinda of partial to "Harold" as well.
1880  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis does it again! on: 2006 March 13, 20:59:13
Properly binning things and adjusting genetic coding on custom eye/skin colors is going to be one of my projects once they update SimPe for OFB and I get it downloaded.

I am definately going to have to go through my eye colors though and eliminate the ones I never will use. I hate having to download a set of 20 eye shades when all I want is that pretty lavender one in the middle....
1881  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The cheesecake thing on: 2006 March 13, 20:55:44
It fixes the code, Maxis broke it and sent it out broken. TwoJeffs made it all better again.
1882  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The cheesecake thing on: 2006 March 13, 20:51:51
There are two versions of the fix: One is a straight up fix of the Maxis coding. Maxis made the code so that if you eat cheesecake AFTER conception your sims have a 100% chance of twins. So cheesecake= twins. No random chance, do not pass go, do not collect child support.

The other is a twojeffs tweak, he changed the percentage so that it is only 50/50 as opposed to 100% So you have a coin flips chance of getting twins. This is the one I got for my game.
1883  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The cheesecake thing on: 2006 March 13, 20:42:41
It's a fix for the broken in game coding. Hence why it is a "fix."
1884  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The cheesecake thing on: 2006 March 13, 20:36:43
No problem, if you go to twojeffs mod you can see that I did the same thing. My first sim had twins after eating the cheesecake so I assumed it wasn't broken. =p
1885  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone with the NL guide? on: 2006 March 13, 20:34:31
I do have the guide, when I get home I can try to look it up. It SAYS that the prizes are random, but the only thing my sims seem to get are coupons and the such. ONE time I got a skill point (cooking I believe) and ONE time I got a contact. I think I've gotten a total of three items off a date.

Just a quick question: If two sims are married and are going on a date, do they still buy each other gifts? I know they still deliver flowers...
1886  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone with the NL guide? on: 2006 March 13, 20:31:26
I dunno it's weird. I usually never get items. My latest game my simmie got a dance sphere from her fiance. Only thing different about that date is that they got engaged and then she took him to a photobooth to "celebrate" (which of course, got her knocked up. EVERYTIME I use one of those my sims get knocked up) Oh well, the price you pay for risky whoohoo. =)

I had a romance sim a loooong time ago that got a karaoke machine from her date, and again it was a date that had a whoohoo in a photobooth that got her pregnant. (I really need to stop doing that)
1887  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do I back up my sims and neighborhoods? on: 2006 March 13, 19:06:32
I hope not, but I just don't get why it is happening now. It's not like OFB is any harder for it to run than the rest of the sims. Besides if that was the case, wouldn't the sound continue even after I quit the game as the pc cooled down? And if I alt-tab out of the sims the sound stops. Soo... *so confused*
1888  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there an option to replace the default canvas paintings? on: 2006 March 13, 18:10:36
Ahhh domo danku, SIMplyLisa. Now I just have to get home to my photoshop. Oh and download SimPe.
1889  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis does it again! on: 2006 March 13, 17:48:41
Yeah I had to redownload her hairs when I reinstalled OFB. Her fancy ponytail and the uhm the one with the long braid are binned. I took a pass at all the other ones so I am not for sure on those, but the ones I got are binned properly.

Which reminds me, I have did a alpha-edit of one of Sanmoo's meshes (the feminity one, I hacked off the annoying bangs) and I was wondering how I would package those for upload without attaching a sim to them.
1890  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Changing Dominant/Recessive Values on Skin and Eyes on: 2006 March 13, 17:00:09
So if I recatagorize the genetic features on eyes and hair and skin and all that, will it affect sims in game that already have said custom content? Or will it only affect newly created simmies and babies said pre-existing simmies have?
1891  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there an option to replace the default canvas paintings? on: 2006 March 13, 16:46:03
I couldn't get those links to work....  Cry
1892  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do I back up my sims and neighborhoods? on: 2006 March 13, 16:35:42
I muted everything and it still does it. The problem isn't my speakers. It's my computer tower making the noises. Don't ask me how.
1893  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis does it again! on: 2006 March 13, 16:33:42
Sussi as sussissogood.com (.net?) properly bins her hair. I love it. Hysterical Paraoxagasm (sp?) did a wonderful recolor of the "emo" hair at mts2 that is properly binned, I like her textures better than the maxis ones.

http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=137972

And it is a shame about the animation on that hair. I didn't have a problem with the "poofing" I just had issues with the clipping through the cheeks.
1894  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims having a "met themselves" memory.... on: 2006 March 13, 16:05:41
Heh, that would be funny if he got furious with himself for cheating on himself.

*hums "You're So Vain*
1895  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims having a "met themselves" memory.... on: 2006 March 13, 15:55:59
Don't you get floaty hearts around a thought balloon of a sim even if they're not a romance sim in NL? It could just mean they find her very attractive.

I have two fortune sims and two family sims that keep swooning and doing that "Ssst, hot!" thing they do to each other all the time.
1896  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do I back up my sims and neighborhoods? on: 2006 March 13, 15:49:38
It sounds like a siren. It's all "BOooOoWeeeboooowwweeeeeboooo." Over and over, ad nauseam.

I get about five minutes of quiet gameplay and then it starts. It'll stop for a SECOND if I save the game or go into the option menus, but the moment I return to live or buy mode it returns. If I leave the game sitting in neighborhood view it will start doing it as well.

It's weird because I was playing the game just fine for days and then all of a sudden in my first OFB household, after playing for an hour or two it started. It wasn't as constant as it is now, it went for a few seconds and would stop if I changed modes. I figured it was some custom content or some hack I put in the game, but that wasn't the case. The only thing weird about the house it started in is that the family had natural twins (no hacks, or Maxis cheesecake) and they had just grown up into toddlers. But it happens regardless of what family or neighborhood I am playing. Nothing shows up on debug mode either.

If it matters I was wearing headphones the first time it happened.
1897  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do I back up my sims and neighborhoods? on: 2006 March 13, 07:03:39
Not really, I am sort of computer challenged to an extent. All I could think of was my custom content causing some sort of complication, but that wasn't it. So beyond that I am clueless. I did update my drivers though, and that didn't help. After that....  Huh
1898  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / How do I back up my sims and neighborhoods? on: 2006 March 13, 05:29:44
Having an issue with an annoying sound coming from my computer towers internal speakers every time I play the game. I have figured out that it is NOT any of my custom content causing the problem so I was going to do a reinstall, but I don't want to lose my sim families that had my first NATURAL twins EVAR. (That and I made a Carth Onasi who is currently shacking up with a female Revan while his son Dustil and the ghost of his ex-wife Morgana make faces at them both.)

Anyways, I want to save those two families (the rest I couldn't give flying flips about, they were made to fiddle with the new features) and I have never made backups of these kinds of things before. So... help me pretty please? If possible I would like to save the houses as well, but that is no big deal if I can't, with twins in one house and Revan and Carth having a lil one and expecting another, it is getting kind of cramped. =)
1899  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FFS OFB Compatibility List on: 2006 March 11, 19:17:44
Mmkay, I've been having a problem since I started putting hacks back into the game after cleaning out my downloads bin for OFB. After playing the game for a while my computer TOWER (not the speakers) starts making these weird sounds that sound like a siren. No message ever pops up when I have debug mode on and the sounds USUALLY stop if I go into the options menu on the game, but whenever I return to live or buy mode the sounds return. It's very annoying. Currently trying to determine what hacks are doing it. But it's a slow process. Has anyone else had this problem? I know it's related to the Sims, because it only happens while I'm playing it.  Huh

EDIT: Well it appears it is not caused by my hacks. As I removed the entire folder and it still happens. So now I am stumped. Unless it is caused by Gunmod's radiance lighting or his camera fix. I haven't tried that yet... *sighs* I don't want to dump my downloads AGAIN.

Hah, so you want calf's blood or will a Mr Pibb suffice? Awesome.
