76  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2011 October 28, 22:45:30
I am trying to create a trait plug in for Awesome and am encountering some trouble.  I have an assembly named PArtemis.dll, the instance for the traits XML is the FVN64 of PArtemisTraits, this is my XML:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>

...but, when I check to see if the trait exists, Awesome reports that it does not.  I believe that Awesome is reading the XML because it was throwing FSEs at me involving Awesome.Traits.Awesome.Traits.Manager:Load for a few attempts when there was an apparent gremlin in the XML.  The assembly loads fine, though as I understand it, at this point, it's just there to let Awesome know to look for an XML.  My question is, why won't this load?  What am I doing wrong?
77  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS Director's Cut: More Awesome Than You on: 2011 October 26, 02:41:22
Like I said, I got all the info I needed on my own, downloaded it on my own, and now my game is awesomefied.

So, why did you ask in the first place?
78  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Odd Sims 3 sound issue on: 2011 October 25, 03:21:10
Sounds like the problem people have with bikes.  There's a link around here to a file that kills bike sounds that has pretty much erased the issue for me.  Try that before the orbital strike.
79  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Complete System Crash on: 2011 October 22, 23:21:40
Might be your video card.  It might be worth opening the case and checking the card's capacitors.  When my last card died, it damaged the motherboard which in turn caused POST errors.
80  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pets patch - all CC borked! on: 2011 October 22, 14:52:16
I checked all the hot tubs from the store, OLS and LN, and didn't find anything wrong. Perhaps you are noticing something I am not?

Turns out it was a leftover.  Brand new hot tubs work, the one I had from a pre-Pets save was broken no matter what I did with my mods.
81  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pets patch - all CC borked! on: 2011 October 22, 06:02:36
At least one of the Late Night hot tubs has farked animation.
82  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 October 22, 04:42:04
EDIT: Also, my sims can't pee. No awesomemod = can pee ok. Awesomemod = crash as soon as sim gets the command to toilet. He can't even path to the toilet.

I just tried this and yeah, trying to use the terlet crashes the game.
83  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 October 22, 02:36:02
Looks like they also borked the LN hot tubs.  Sims can get in them, but then they float above them.
84  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 October 21, 15:08:10
So far, foals have a small floating block over their necks which can be interacted with as if it were part of the horse.  Someone really dropped the ball modeling the foals.
85  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 October 20, 01:17:31
Yes, it's the version as of this morning, 10/19.  Just to be sure, I re-downloaded it and tried again, and within a few moments of playing the new town racked up 115 of the same error, all caught by Error Trap, plus what looked like the Stupid EAxis Fail re: Wild Horses.
86  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 October 19, 16:36:08
I had the same issue, crash to desktop editing relationships in CAS.

ETA:  NRaas Error Trap caught nearly 500 of these in Appaloosa Plains on a fresh start of the new town; only mentioning it because it mentions Awesome.

Also, since no one is pointing and laughing at sarsbar, can I assume that the correct way to get the funding to the right place is to follow its lead?

Make sure that once all the funds are in that you actually PM Pescado about it.
88  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Infinite butlers on: 2011 October 13, 21:19:26
Master Controller has a Total Annihilation option.  Nuking just deletes the objects; Total Annihilation vaporizes the Sim.  Maybe you can cull the herd then fire the last butler standing?

Or you can set them all on fire.  It wouldn't solve the problem but it would be fun.
89  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: For testing - morphing penis (NWS) script added on: 2011 October 13, 21:09:08
I haven't had any crashing issues with the script so far.  Looks good.

Ok, I saved it, now what do I do with it?  I am sorry to be such a bother...but I am completely out of my league here.

You make me regret uploading it.

I clicked the "Here it is" link and this is what I got:

Save As... works when browsers try to turn package and 7z files into web pages.

Yes, I have done some research and discovered that this was an XML edit, however, I don't have the tools to do this and I am chickenshit to try it anyway.  I know that you have to go into "venues" and at the bottom add "add drink _____".  But that is as much as I have found out.  And I stand corrected regarding the 42 drinks/snowclones.

You just need s3pe.  Something like Notepad ++ would help.

Anyhow, I wanted it too, so I made it.  Here it is
93  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Help Getting This Game to Run On Ubuntu on: 2011 September 28, 03:32:15
It doesn't need a no-CD crack.  AwesomeMod or Twallan's no-CD mod will work on Ubuntu as well as they do on Windows.

If you have an ATI card, make sure the Catalyst driver is the newest one available at AMD; at least under Wine, it doesn't like the proprietary driver in Ubuntu Natty at all for Sims 3.  I am not sure if it will run well enough to play in Ubuntu, nor if FPS Limiter + 3booter work (I need to try harder), but with Wine, a proper install, and a no-CD mod (not crack), it does run.

Hi, I am looking a non- Sims3 forums download link for this world...  Grey Meadows

It looks great, but I don't have a registration  Sad

http://llnw.thesims3.com/sims3_asset/sims3_asset/bin/shard002/000/044/768/79/Grey%20Meadow.Sims3Pack

Next time you want a link like that, you can check the Exchange page source and search for "sims3pack", it will take you right to it.
95  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: For testing - morphing penis (NWS) on: 2011 September 18, 17:49:59
The results, if the sliders aren't in the right range, can be frighting for the uncut erection slider on an uncut penis.  I expected the regular slider to cause problems, so this isn't about that.  I do like that there is an uncut slider though; seems like the best way to do it with one mesh.

Everything else looks fine.  The CAS issue isn't bad at all, and if it's really bothering someone, they ought to take the shoes off or download invisible feet to use long enough to fiddle in CAS.  They all look fine in-game.
96  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My household is borked. How do I delete it? on: 2011 September 13, 23:29:46
Not sure if there is a way through AM, but NRaas Master Controller has a Total Annihilation option that's usable without selecting the Sim.  Might be worth a try.
97  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Workstation graphics card tweaking on: 2011 September 11, 04:53:18
There is a more complete list of supported cards in Game\Bin\GraphicsCards.sgr.  Radeon HD 5770 runs it fine, so any comparable card should as well.

Look for XCAS by cmarNYC at MTS for the tattoos.  It's a core mod, but there is a non-core version at NRaas enabled by the Master Controller.  Read up on XCAS at MTS so you know if that's what you want.

The file works almost perfectly on my install (which is all EPs, no SPs), only parts that show up blue are the custom brick flowerbeds.  So it might just want Seasons for some reason?

As a complement to mods that make fires harder to fight, where might I find a mod that makes it easier to DIAF?  Due to what I am assuming was an outdated mod, my Sims just had the most glorious fire I have ever seen, every time they put it out it would restart and it lasted all Sim-day.  Unfortunately, though there were ten Sims living there and three visitors plus the firefighters, only one of them died.  Obviously it's too hard for Sims to DIAF!

Alternatively, pointing me in the right direction for what I could mod myself to make it easier for Sims to DIAF would work too.

ETA: Nevermind, that was stupidly easy to make myself.
