1  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / guid conflict on: 2012 August 01, 07:08:19
Just a few days ago I installed my game all over again, I have all Eps and all stuff packs but the holiday one.. so, my game kept crashing so I did the 50/50 thing with my CC... turns out I have more than just one or 2 or 3 files braking my game, it isn't easy to find it when you have more than 6000 files, I kept putting in a few files to check which ones were braking my game, but after a few days of doing that I still have at least 3000 files to go through..
Anyways, my game keeps crashing when i go into buy/build mode, as soon as I go to the miscellaneous category, wher the bars are, the game crashes... and if it doesn crash there, it crashes when i go into build mode and check the doors...
So now I'm trying the Guid conflict thing.... I scanned my downloads and found o couple arond 150 conflicts...now to my question, how do I know which ones to remove? and also according to simpe a few conflics are located in the sims catalog, not the downloads catalog like apartmentlife/tsdata/res/objects.... can those be the ones braking my game?
Thanks! Smiley

framework? what's that? Huh  sorry if it sounds silly but I don't know what that is...

this is just getting ridiculous... after several crashes with and without CC I managed to play my game.. saved and returned.. no problems.. after the second time i reentered the lot and I found that the adultsims can't get makeover.. which they could last time i saved..  the option doesn't show up in the mirror... I took my sim on vacation and the mirrors worked there (france) so i gave her a makeover and when she returned home she had her same old look... and the mirrors in her house aren't working... and i have added no CC at all... WTF! I'm about to give up.. i have no hacks at all so that can't be it

So you have no CC whatsoever and this is still happening? Best thing that I can tell you is to remove all of your CC to a folder on your desktop, uninstall, re-install, and then slowly put all of your stuff back in. Did you have your CC folders in when you installed WA?

No, when I installed my game I had no CC, not even the mods folder nor the resource.cfg. After my game crashed I created a new neighborhood and the  mirrors are working fine... I put all my CC back.. pretty much cause I had enough.. i've searched for files over and over again .. sometimes the game didn't crashed or slowed down.. even with a bunch of CC, it worked perfectly fine..
I've already installed TS3 and WA at least 3 times.. hoping it would help... right now I've been playing my game for hours, and it hasn't crashed a single time.. and I'm using CC... it's driving me crazy, I've also started converting package files to sims3pack becuase I've never had any problems with the CC installed through the launcher..

5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 24, 12:40:21
i had blue lots too so i removed all my cc and played for a while.. no problems... i put back in some "safe" files , like liana's clothes.. it was ok.. i added infusorian's clutter and put it on the lot and when i made my sim travel the game crashed... after that i reentered the lot (didn't remove my cc) and made my sim travel again, just to check if it crashed and it didn't... it's very confusing, looks like there's no logic behind it.. i have no mods and i have my mods folder in the sims 3 root.. not in the WA folder...
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: World Adventures Mods folder setup, and What works and what does not on: 2009 November 21, 20:16:46

My game was running really slow.. lagging and stuff.. so I removed a lot of files from my mods folder... the game would take up to 30 minutes to load... but after I removed a few files, it only takes 2 min and 15 secs Cheesy
unfortunately i got so sick of the game lagging that I didn't realize which files I removed.. but the ones I have left in my mods folder are

LianaSims3 clothes
Aikea guinea knit patterns
mango patterns
mango furniture (all of it)
new sea hair
peggy's skin and make up
all of peggy's hair
rose hair (all of them)
and Awesims stuff... and i mean averything by awesims
nointro mod
That's what i have left and the game is running fast Smiley

Is it safer to only download stuff and install them using the sims3launcher?
Because I have a lot of stuff in my documents... downloads folder and those files never gave me any kkind of trouble... not like the ones in my mods folder...

Mine crashed because it's really hot  here right now...and my laptop just overheated.... I bought a coolingpad/notebook pad with fans... that really helped.... maybe you should try the same

Yes, as as soon as i remove freetime i have no problems with the game... I think I'm gonna have to restore/reinstall vista...  Shocked

EDIT:
I reinstalled vista and  FT is working fine now... but I never find out what was wrong....

yeah, I already tried that....  It didn't work... When I load a lot it looks exactly the same as when i installed the game with my disk.... the sims have no wants or fears and keep jumping back.... I'm starting to think it's a bug or something. I wrote to EA and they subjested reinstalling the entire game and getting rid of some files manually.. using run/regedit. I did exactly what they said, removed the files, and installed the game but that didn't help either... now they asked me to run the game in windows mode... like that's gonna help... . I just tried that and .. no changes....  Huh
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and SIMS FREETIME on: 2008 April 15, 16:02:04
because I thought the could "hide" somewhere else....
But I checked my temp catalog and it's empty.... I'm running out of ideas....
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and SIMS FREETIME on: 2008 April 15, 08:46:27
yes, I've downloaded lots and sims and I used clean installer ..
And How do i get rid of the lots... they are not in my game because I reistalled it all over again.. so there are no custom lots....
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and SIMS FREETIME on: 2008 April 14, 18:12:56
Ho can I check my config directory?

And I have no CC, no lots.. no downloaded sims...  there's no point because I can't play the game, I have the nerighborhoods exactly as Maxis made them.. I haven't altered anything
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and SIMS FREETIME on: 2008 April 14, 16:43:46
I have no idea what you mean.. but I'm telling you I did removed it.. I backed up my game and deleted the entire folder...
And I put the axe thing after re installing freetime, the lot or the game has no CC I just chose a random neighborhood and a random lot to see if  the game was working fine and it wasn't after that  it was after  that I chose again, random stuff to test if my sims could use them. and of course they couldn't..
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and SIMS FREETIME on: 2008 April 14, 07:14:57
I have no idea what that is.. because as I said I have no CC.
The helicopters can be explained.. it came to pick up the military sim to take him to work.... it would jump back and return to pick up the sim like a million times... as for the modular stairs and and cas accesories I have no idea  Huh
I don't even have a downloads folder... so where can  all of this  custom items be hiding and if so where do they came from..?
I even deleted the entire The sims 2 folder in my documents, so that the game would generate a new one.... and it did....
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and sims on: 2008 April 14, 01:09:34
I was playing a lot that came with the game... and I don't have any CC.....
If this is a bug,., then it's the biggest bug I have ever seen...
So, you *aren't* talking about the "problem with cas screen", which is what you posted about in your first post?

The object error you uploaded is from the house in Strangetown, for the military family? Why does it have the axe-throwing game and basketball hoop on the lot? What are all those CAS accessories?

There's something you aren't telling us.

As I posted befoire, that's the log i got when i tried to play a lot that came with the game... I had the basketball game.. the axe thing .. the massage table and something else just to check if the sims could interact with these items and they couldn't.

And if you refere to the C. clothes in the picture I posted, that's the picture i took the first time I opened the Cas screen to create a sim, I had all my CC there because the first time I installed the game it was working fine...  I have un installed and installed the entire game and freetime a few times and  i get the same errors.

I have like 220 GB free...
And I just uninstalled FT and installed it manually.... it still not working right  Huh
I keep getting the "data number out of range error"
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: problem with cas screen and sims on: 2008 April 13, 10:12:43
yeah... I did that already, I uninstalled the entire game, and ran Registry mechanic, istalled the sims and all the ep's up to bonvoyage, patched  them and I started the game to check, it was working fine, I installed FT and that's when I have problems...
