BSOD could be a motherboard issue. We originally thought that our hard drive might be dying, and I panicked thinking that it could be that my relatively new graphics card was the issue.
That's exactly whats been happening to me the last few days. I can only play TS3 at 800x600 for the moment, otherwise the display closes within 12 minutes. I'm still running tests, but man, that mobo is pretty much the only thing I'm scared of taking out. Hope it's just the card, or better still, the problem goes (which it won't).

LAA doesn't work under Windows XP if you didn't boot into 3GB mode. Under normal, 32bit OS mode programs cannot utilize more than 2GB of memory.
Works fine on 32 bit Vista once you've done the bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 3072 trick, its an urban myth that 32 bit OS cannot utilize more RAM than 2gb. I've been using this trick for a year now, and it's all fine.

Well seeing as the shells DO show up, what other conclusion would you want anyone(Shouty Voles included) to draw? Especially since you offer no more information than "I haz pwoblem, halp me." Speshul Snowflake as you may or may not be, we do need more info, like what fucking mods you ARE using.
Er, well seeing as my screen proved that they HAVEN'T showed up, your attempt at trying to sound smart failed miserably. And what more information do you need, even at your low level of intellect? I'll give you some information if you really want it child: Some of us are intelligent enough to think before they post. That includes removing mods when there is a problem, and sometimes providing a screen as a visual aid. And then there are those of us that spout off without thinking first. Either because they are incapable of thinking first, or just can't be arsed. They then get smacked-the-hell-down by higher life-forms in public (like now) and don't even seem to have the capacity to feel a sliver of shame when that happens. You don't need to explain which of those you come under.

If its not actually kicking that particular family/sim out, you may have to do it a sneaky way. This has happened to me once or twice over like 18 months, and once the sims are ejected, everythings back to normal.
Doing it the sneaky way: Well I'm pretty sure AM gets round this somehow, but I don't know any particular code that does it. So the other options would be 'Move out' on the computer (or NRaas 'transfer sim to household'), or befriend a sim, move in with them, then try evicting.

I went and tried this in my own game and I found your problem. The pillar you are trying to remove is not a pillar at all. It is part of the shell itself. If you use the eyedropper on it you will see that it does not select a pillar at all, it selects the whole building. I couldn't tell you why it won't allow pools and hot tubs on this level. My guess is that it is treated like any other bottom level. You can't put a pool or hot tub in the lowest level basement of a house either. You might have to rethink your design plan and put the pools and tubs on the second level.
Yeah I know, its an inner part of the shell. The initial plan was to have a hot tub cutting into that floor. Claiming the actual floor itself was only an afterthought and would probably involve hacking the shells somehow. Nevertheless, its a good thing elevators work properly in oldskool illegal highrises, so thats a bonus. I had quite a few that I always thought would be just decorative, but now I can use them.

Okay, fine. You have to enter the fucking code to edit anything outside of the sim's fucking apartment.
What apartment would that be fuckwit? Its a fresh shell. A fresh shell. What part of that flew over your neanderthal brain? The_Goddess I already have those cheats upon startup. Here is the section I mean. You can see a pillar type object under there.

About homeowners association rules. Is there any way to bypass this? I've freshly plonked down the highest high rise, with the red top. It's got three puny floors. Under the middle one there is a dark floor, clearly not intended for use. Its even got some weird pillars down there which would restrict building. So is this an invisible hidden floor marker job, or is it truly out of bounds? I don't really need the whole floor (although that would be nice) but seeing as its just sitting there in darkness I could at least put a hot tub on the liveable floor above. So is there no current way to disable the busybodies association. Not even with an AM code? :/
