I play now in Strangetown too. Which dorm it is (number of rooms). Although I never put my sim in dorms - I am curious to see that dorm.

"I try not to publicize sim-mes. It's creepy enough having people create bad imitations of me so they can lock me in 3x3 rooms and watch me pee myself to death. Besides, extracting me again may be difficult, I've been dead for a quite awhile now." (Pescado)

*died from laugh*...*help!!! resurrect me!*

Ancient, I looked again at your last picture. See the bubble over the head of the sim - it shows some perspective "wide going to narrow". Perhaps this is the hint you needed?
1204  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deleting and zapping annoying sims offlot on: 2005 July 21, 22:03:06
I use Inge's teleporter too, and use the moveobjects on to delete unwanted sims, and use DMA object to "remove visitors" - they work fine, almost from the beginning of TS2.
I even deleted once the schoolbus with moveobjects on, because the alien girl of Pascal was stucked there not able to get out of it - and on the second day the schoolbus came as usual.
1205  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxing out sims skills on: 2005 July 21, 05:35:22
I do it as easy as I can:

Use the SimPe just before the child becomes a teen, and give him 992 points skills (out of 1000) in all skills.
Always choose Knowledge aspiration (I can change it in the college).
Then use the LTW (clock) of JM and change the LTW to "max 7 skills".
In one day my teen has a platinum mood, as he has to accomplish only 8 points (1 sim hour) in each skill.

As for the toddlers, I use the "magic potty" (downloaded from MTS2). When the baby becomes a toddler, I click 3 times on the potty - "potty train", "teach to talk", "teach to walk" - se tu: the toddler has the memory that he taught himself to potty train, walk and talk...Smiley.

Now I can concentrate on more important issues, as make friends etc...Smiley

Maxis built all the dorms very uncomfortable - you can hardly move there. I used the motherlode cheat and made all my dorms wide and spacy. None of the Maxis' dorms remained as they were built, not even the SS building - there too I smashed walls, added ladders, enlarged the kitchen space, even put new walls and floors.

Perhaps Maxis did it on purpose, to force you to redecorate the dorm - to create more complaints, thus you can see what is wrong in the decor and fix it...Smiley.
1207  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's Blocking Their Path? on: 2005 July 21, 05:04:39
According your pictures - your kitchen space is too narrow.

If you remember TS1 manual, we were told to make at lest 2 rectangles between 2 objects, but if sims have to pass between them - we have to make at least 4 rectangles between 2 objects.

Just move the counters opposite the fridge 3-4  rectangles left - now you have enough space to move for all sims, and the cook.
1208  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Uncomfortable browse through the forum. on: 2005 July 18, 16:57:36
That's true - I was born in Bulgary, and came to Israel only at 1949...Smiley

What an offensive! Can you climb on some other tree?

Yes, I played the first issue of Atari, and bought the first issue of Apple. I worked as a programmer in 2  computer  languages (RPG and Assembler) which don't exist anymore. Yes, I am over 60, if that means anything to you - still with all my brain in place, thanks god...

Don't bring me to the last straw to logout - I am quite offended, and demand apology from JM. I am not ready to let my lips ripped off, although I appreciate your hacks.

I already logged out, but decided to stay a little bit more. It seems that I have to log out from this site.

And, I did what garyalex said (JM can see my profile), and still no e-mails. JM can check my profile to see that I did as I was told.

Nobody, but nobody can call me "silly", JM too...Smiley. [Back to the Future"]

*sigh*  *goes home sad and offended*

Actually ... that link would only work for Gali ... seeing as his/her user id is 30 (if you check his/her profile) ... *sigh* trying to be too clever there.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am "she" (female), and when all of you needed to change diapers, including JM, I already played computer games (guess my age, lol).

garyalex, can you please describe in PLAIN English what did you mean? I swear I don't understand a word!

And, after all my tries, I still don't receive e-mails, and I am pissed off!

Goodbye!

1210  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Identical Twins on: 2005 July 18, 10:04:08
Sorry, my English is not so good (the "famous escape" of Arnold Shwarzenigger, lol), so I thought you are botherred by having identical twins.
If you say that they don't exist in the game - how did I get them more than 3 times, and with the same clothes too (I just sufferreed when they were toddlers)? Do I have some glitch?
1211  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Identical Twins on: 2005 July 18, 09:49:37
Why bother? I had the same identical twins (without resurrection, just my own created sims) - all you have to do is to change the hair and the hair-color of one of them.
"Change appereance" on one twin is enough.
1212  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Other Games? on: 2005 July 18, 09:44:22
Restaurant Empire, Hotel Giant, The Sims 1 (still fond of it), Sherlock Holmes misteries, and Bridge CD and online)...Smiley.

jordy, my apology, lol. I just took the last post I had in my inbox - didn't even looked at the name - just copied it and pasted it here...Smiley.

"Nothing personal, strictly business"...flowers to you...Smiley.

(Slap on her head) - oohh, you say if I click on the notify button, I'll receive the e-mails?

Put me in you "Daily Idiot" list - I deserve it!!!...Smiley.

"Do I really have to play a whole Uni (yawn) year at a time?  I do have your clock, and could use it, but there are still lots of Uni activities that I haven't done yet (zombies, secret society) mainly because my eyes start to bleed and my head pulses ready to explode if I stay at Uni for too long!" (sandilou)

My students graduate  after 6-7 days only.
Like you, I am bored to play it such a long time.

My strategy is this:
I use  Insimenator + Merola's multi-painting + Merola's booster paint - and if you have 3$ - download the Eternal Booster from http://www.simslice.com   - works on babies too  - and Inge Jones's Teleporter.

My first couple has to stay a little more time, because they have to find the SS members. I observed that the SS members are fond of body training and pool board. So I updated one of the community lots (the Gym), and made it all-purpose community (super-market), packaged the lot (for the future use). and visit only there.
All the body-train machines are in the yard, to ease the interaction.

I spawn the relationship sign (a heart), and begin to befriend between my sims and the body trainers (you can use the  Carrigon's Voodoo Bottle - just put it in the community lot.
In about 3 sims hours I can befriend about 6 sims.

Return home, wait for 11:00 PM or so. If nothing happens - I go to the community again and befriend 6 more body trainers. Usualy after that I find the 3 SS members, and get to be abducted.

When the first sim goes to the SS building, I write down the names of the members, and when I return home - I begin to teleport all of them (one by one) to me house with Inge's teleporter, and befriend them.

After that, my second couple enters the SS on his first, or max second day  (freshmen) in college, teleporting to them at least 4 SS members, and using the Voodoo bottle or Insimenator.

As I have the Eternal Mood Booster - my sims, after  being abducted, don't eat, don't sleep don't get to shower  - and only do assignments (+term paper) and research.

In one day they are ready to the Final exam - and I use Pescado's clock to send them to the final.

In 6 sim days they graduate and return to the old neighbourhood - no parties at all...Smiley.

Try it...Smiley

I DO!!! - But, as I get from the BBS and Variousimmers an "alert" e-mail - I want it here too.

It doesn't force me to enter your site each day, to see if anybody answerred to the thread I am subscribed to.  I do enjoy being here, but I like more to play the game...Smiley.

BTW, I downloaded your last LTW hack - Does it conflict the Final Exam clock, which I have too? or it's a separate object - how does it look like?
1218  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Uncomfortable browse through the forum. on: 2005 July 17, 01:31:52
I know that, but sometimes I am subscribed to a thread without writing anything.  It's easier to receive the e-mail that links me to this thread.

JM -

Sorry that I come with complaint (it bothers me), but at Variousimmers I received an e-mail answer for each post (thread) I was subscribed - like this:

I realy don't remember to which threads I am subscribed here, and that makes me pass over and over all sections. Thus I "jam" the forum space, and if you will get 1000 members, it will become like MTS2.

It's a bureucratic suggestion, to make easy for us to browse the forum, and for you - prevent jamming the space.

Can you do it here too?

Thanks.

Like all the little doggies, I followed you to here too...Smiley.

This is your 4th moving - I hope "you are here to stay" [Ape Planet movie, Charlton Heston]...Smiley.
