51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EAxis download drive ways still "Custom Content" in NL on: 2008 August 30, 17:33:27
Sims2Pack? That's the install file, where do you have that? When you first used that, it installed the driveway in your downloads folder, *that* file in Downloads is the one that must go. Good luck finding that though, usually Sims2Pack rename files to a bunch of random characters like fbhsidofi237y3487gbiodnv8t45v9nvm, so...

The thing is, the game treats any objects in Downloads as custom content and so they have the CC asterisk. Having Nightlife installed, you have the driveway that comes with it but you still have the separate one in Downloads overwriting it, and so it still shows it with the Star of Shame.
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EAxis download drive ways still "Custom Content" in NL on: 2008 August 30, 15:27:15
Have you actually removed the separate driveway download after installing Nightlife?
53  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 August 28, 21:20:56
^ That's not a new bug, it happens specifically to the Breadfruit tree I think.
54  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Unlocked FreeTime Career Outfits - for FreeTime Patch on: 2008 August 09, 14:02:39
^ Yeah, I understand, Lord Darcy has made a lot of awesome fixes so it's easy to miss something in the end.

You wear glasses? I wish I did too, if I needed them I'd wear them all the time. Glasses are sexy. (They'd be one of my turn-ons if I were a sim. Tongue)
55  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Unlocked FreeTime Career Outfits - for FreeTime Patch on: 2008 August 09, 13:31:47
^ Do you mean this?

This unlocker does NOT enable career outfits to be automatically added to family wardrobe when a Sim gets a new job or a promotion. You have to get my other fix to get this pre-FT feature back:
Career Outfits are Added to Wardrobe Again in FreeTime
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Do you visit the hobby lots? Are they useful? on: 2008 August 04, 19:47:19
(All I want from this EP is the damn toddler table Sad)

You'll seriously install a whole EP just for 1 object it contains? Undecided Not trying to be judgmental here, just curious.
57  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: More Decorative Slots for Maxis Furniture (Updated 2008/07/28) on: 2008 August 01, 15:31:09
That's great, thanks for answering both the questions! Smiley

So, I take it I'm the judge (and the first post confirms that) so here you go!

The Sounded Good In Theory category, some okay ideas that resulted in really really bad cc...

Runner-ups:

Demon, Demon!!

Kissed by... Tinkerbell apparently?

Mom, what happened to your face?

And the winner is:

The graphics used to be bad on NES, what's your excuse?

We continue with Could It Be Lupus?, cc that could be symptoms of a fatal disease or something.

Runner-ups:

That shit might be contagious, get the hell out of my office!

"I seem to have fat solid tears coming out of my eyes Dr. House, is that serious?" - "Nah, you're just turning into a manga chick"

You're dying. And you're dying fast. Don't know if you already had any clue by looking at yourself in the mirror.

And the winner is:

Sure, I can see that you look like Mr. Potato-Head but that's no reason to fry your face as if it actually was a potato.

Finally, the Just No category, runner-ups:

You sure took "celebrating Christmas" to a new level!

That's a nice moustache you've got growing there Mrs. Peterson. Oh, wait...

"Honey, I *told* you the kid looks like my grandma." - "Totally darling!"

And the winner is:

Scarred for life, yes, that's me!

59  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: More Decorative Slots for Maxis Furniture (Updated 2008/07/28) on: 2008 July 31, 20:24:26
First of all, thanks for this obviously! (I baa'd already Cheesy)

Is this easy enough so that someone could do it to custom objects following a step-by-step guide (if that's not too much to ask of course)? I'm actually interested for the 2 EAStore end-tables and if it's something simple (like updating objects to FT functions etc.) I'd like to take a stab at it.

Also (this might be directed to Havelock mainly) are those LS end-tables edited? (except the slottage thing) The Shakely end-table that I had before (plus the rest of the Shakely set, that I still have) has some bad-quality textures (okay, not really bad but not comparable with the ones uploaded in this thread) but the ones Havelock uploaded and LordDarcy updated have great textures. Are versions of the full Shakely set available online with those textures?

I don't do Free Will On anymore, so it kind of pisses me off, especially when there is nothing left on the lot to kick. This is generally why I only have patience for flamingos.

You should definitely try The Cheat. Wink

And cool idea about torching the thieves with the fire jet!
61  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 08, 21:05:36
^ Major EWW for both!

Seriously, is the first pic what the judges' eyes gonna look like at the end of the month? Tongue
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New hard drive. Is this going to work? on: 2008 July 05, 17:03:25
^ I don't think that's true. If you're talking about the "checking to see if your game is up to date" thing, I think it only checks for the base game patch or something. It usually takes a second and then comes to a "your game is already up to date" message, and I've had that happen even if I hadn't installed several patches for some EPs.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 July 05, 10:51:50
Ideally it would be easier than using boolprop snapobjectstogrid false (although if that would work, I'd settle)

Actually, I think that you can't place doors or windows at all with snapobjectstogrid turned to false, they keep showing red wherever you place them, so that's not an option.
64  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Killed Custom Neighborhood on: 2008 July 04, 19:47:24
^ Yeah, you're right, nothing to correct there!
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Updating CC for FT on: 2008 July 04, 16:24:53
I did that, and it worked (partially). The animation as you said didn't look so good (it wasn't the animation used by FT tvs, I guess you'll fix it in time like you did with the other Ikea tv) but I also encountered a problem that I had before:

That happens after tinkering stops, the sim pushed the tv back (although it hadn't been pulled at all this time) and it snapped to the right tile's position. It happened before too, when they used to pull+push back for tinkering.

Anyway, since you're gonna update them (and you usually clean the files from unnecessary stuff too, which I'm not in the place to do), I won't bother too much, but it's cool learning how to do stuff in SimPE myself.

Thanks for the help!
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened to darwincowplant? on: 2008 July 04, 14:33:26
The novelprogressbar *is* obsolete, FT changed lots about novels, that's why.

darwincowplant (as some other hacks) can be found in the director's cut only, maybe that's why you didn't find it?
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Updating CC for FT on: 2008 July 04, 14:17:37
^ Thanks for those consoles!

Lord Darcy (or anyone else who might know) how do you update a tv for FT, without adding the pull and push-back animation to it for tinkering and/or repairing? I tried to replace SLOT, TTAB and TTAs from a different tv (the Life Stories one, I got it from a thread here, not sure who updated it) that worked in the way I wanted (tinkering was done in the front, like both the FT tvs) but it didn't work.

The Ikea pre-order bonus tv that Richief updated (and I had done it myself too) has weird animations for tinkering from behind (lol, this sounds wrong in a way) that's why I was wondering how to do it. The Ikea tv that you fixed, has the correct tinker animation that I'm talking about (but I didn't manage to copy that either). What am I doing wrong?

(Thanks in advance!)
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 03, 16:42:15
What if you have a Securom-free computer? Will the 3rd patch take care of that fact and install it? I didn't see any update between 2nd and 3rd patch (other than the Securom and EA Store things, which don't concern me at all) and so I'd prefer the 2nd patch instead (but then again, no crack for that yet).
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB and Uniforms on: 2008 July 02, 08:36:12
I also tried changing an employee's makeup using the Kitten Killer (InSiminator).

I thought it was the Inteenimater that was responsible for the kittens. Or now the Insiminator has started a massacre too? Tongue
70  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 02, 08:32:30
I, in turn, will speak in the defense of the goofy eyes. (it's the second time in this thread that I'm standing up for a proposed item, should that mean something? Tongue)

Those aren't supposed to be worn constantly as an accessory, I'm pretty sure. But if you *wanted* to take a picture where a sim would have that look, they'd be really hepful.

Remember people, there are things that look weird but they're intentionally that way, and they can have a use. The Christmas tree barf on the face on the other hand... not so much.
71  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 02, 02:21:05
^ No, but you have to: "Alternatively you can wait 1 minute"
72  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Broken dresser? And one more question on: 2008 July 01, 23:18:54
I knew it that there must be something wrong with that dresser, at first it didn't show up from Bins but did from Downloads and then that.

Ah, thanks a lot Lord Darcy!
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 July 01, 21:51:01
(complete with maid pulling new sheets our of his/her ass. Which is exactly where I keep my clean laundry. Don't you?).

Don't we all? (Not to mention mops, pairs of shears etc etc Cheesy )
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 July 01, 21:28:12
I want a mod that changes the sheets when the maid comes.  It's boring that they never change.
lolwhut? Do you mean you want the bedding itself to be different, or are you asking for him/her to do the laundry?

Yeah, I suppose he/she meant that every other day when the maid makes the beds the bedding should change (but how? randomly?) as if she actually changed the sheets or something.
75  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Broken dresser? And one more question on: 2008 July 01, 20:05:25
So, I get the following error with the Ikea pre-order dresser, is it just a bad file or something else? I tried using a couple of different ones (from the Ikea SP I mean) and they worked okay.

Also, I suppose I did something wrong and now all clothing and hair in CAS has the delete button enabled, even base game ones! I almost never delete stuff from there, but still it's a risk I wouldn't like to take. What could have triggered that? The only thing relevant to this that I did recently is change some properties of a couple cc outfits so that they'd show up as base game clothes cause I didn't want them showing up in the first page of the clothes. I suppose I did something bad?
