1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mod/Hack Request? on: 2007 October 01, 22:41:30
I always forget about InSimenator. I hardly ever go there. I might wander over to an actual request forum and ask. Thanks! Btw, since posting this, I found a beautiful set of meshes in the Alchemy Lab set from CaravanShopSims2.net. If only they functioned. Anyway, thanks again for pointing me in a more productive direction.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mod/Hack Request? on: 2007 September 26, 16:16:59
I had found the Cauldran. It hasn't been updated to include the potions from Pets or Seasons although it does still function. The look isn't what I was wanting. Nor the brewable potions really very useful in the non-HarryPotter 'verse. Aaand the rate of learning the skill was way too fast. I mean I'm not picky or anything... Wink Thanks though for pointing it out. I might just be forced to use it anyway.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Mod/Hack Request? on: 2007 September 26, 00:26:46
Mmm... I'm not terribly familiar with the modding community or where to go to make requests. I'm pretty particular about the source of my hacks and use as few non-awesome ones as I can get away with. So, when I couldn't find what I was looking for I hoped this would be an acceptable place to ask. What I'm interested in is a craftable potions station. I'm well aware of the buyable potions mods out there, but I really prefer to make my sims work for things. If this isn't the place for requests of this nature but someone could point me in the right direction that would be appreciated as well. Thank you.

ack! What happened to the list of families in the neighborhood with the number of days each has played?
5  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Lot Sync Timer: All BlueSoups Suck Edition on: 2006 November 17, 20:59:22
hmmm... it poked through the floor in my game... though I haven't tried in a while. maybe its changed since then? worth a shot I suppose.

and Rainbow while I agree I love the morphability of twojeff's ACR controller I didn't want to ask for anything that elaborate from J.M. I thought the plain "placeholder" box was asking a lot as it was! *laughs*

Edit: I just this minute checked and it definitely still sticks up through the floor in my game.
6  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Lot Sync Timer: All BlueSoups Suck Edition on: 2006 November 17, 19:44:22
I know its been asked before and I don't mean to be a nuisance. Its just that I was playing last night and again this bugged me. Is there any way possible this could be remeshed into something smaller? I'd actually prefer the plain square box like Macro and the Debugger to this huge neon green fits into none of my houses monstrosity. Those at least I can hide under the foundation or under a bed. Its not that I'm ungrateful. I use this item in every one of my houses after all. I thought it might hurt a little to ask but figured I'd give it a shot anyway.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I've got a frigid sim here... on: 2006 November 03, 16:29:54
Coral and Herb Oldie has this going on in my game after adding noinstantlove. I think it has to do with the fact that Coral is a family sim and Herb is a romance sim and those just aren't compatible. Herb falls for Coral alright but Coral just never get the little hearts. They manage to get through the day to day marriage type things ok but I suppose maybe that's just Coral being traditional and sticking by the man she married even if he turned out not to be all she hoped for.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Three issues, one thread - not at all vague ;) on: 2006 November 02, 17:33:28
It would have been nice if the sim I bought coffee for actually sat with my sim at the same table, so they can actually look like they are having a conversation together. Roll Eyes If anything, even tho I had just met him, I think he should at least search out a table that is totally unoccupied first, so then hopefully my sim will be smart enough and actually choose to sit down next to him. Tongue

If your sim had bought him dinner would you have expected him to casual woohoo? *laughs* sorry I couldn't resist. The whole "can I buy you a drink?" "sure, thanks for the drink *walks away*" scenerio just amused me too much. ~.^

removing Echo's community sleep mod fixed the problem for me.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Building/Running a Sim Brothel on: 2006 October 15, 17:07:26
I made a brothel a long time back. All my 'girls' were skin-job servos. No worries about pregnancy that way. Less needs to worry about as well.

Oh, its here its here! I've been looking forward to downloading this. So, when's the next one coming huh huh when wheeeeen? Oh and happy birthday yesterday. ^.^
12  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 September 21, 02:14:33
That's because it's BROKEN, genius. If there was anoter terlet usable, the controller would offload the sim to the nonbroken one if they got that desperate. But if for some reason you sadistically placed only a single inoperable terlet, then there's no other choices.

Gee. You mean the sim was trying to repair it because it was broken? I wonder how I managed to miss that connection. Thanks for your pearl of wisdom there. Come on, J.M., as I had already stated the actions would have made perfect sense if the sim in question was controllable. However, seeing as how the sim was visiting the lot it caused problems. Its not like I gave them only a single non-functional toilet by plan. It just happened to be clogged right before the pregnant sim finished a conversation and was thus standing idle and nabbed by the BUY. I attempted to call the pregnant sim away from the task hoping to break the cycle but to no avail. A more convenient way of dealing with the problem would have been to not allow visitors to attempt repairs in the first place. God knows I wouldn't try and unclog my neighbors' toilet but would politely excuse myself and head home. Hmm. Which by my way of thinking is in fact another choice.
13  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 September 20, 21:49:14
I just had a visiting neighbor get snagged by BUY to repair a clogged toilet. The visitor was pregnant and was about to pee on the floor but kept trying to repair the toilet instead of using it. I used the testingCheatsEnabled to cancel out the BUY loop and instruct her to actually use the toilet and then deselected her. She didn't go back to trying to unclog the toilet after that. It would have been pretty "logical" behavior if it had been a household member, but since it was an uncontrollable I found it annoying.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Impressive new Custom Object on: 2006 September 19, 02:23:03
The significance of this object is its use of custom animations. They are simple, granted, but it is encouraging that people are starting to do this more and more.

And for something non-sex related too!
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: John Burb is Telepathic? on: 2006 September 13, 16:01:24
I've never seen John having the hots or any wants for Brandi or vice versa at all. *shrugs* Then again I always hook up Brandi with Gordon King. I forget how many bolts they have, since I don't really pay much attention to those, but its at least a couple I believe. Gordon is a knowledge sim which is Maxis-compatible with family sims. I always figured that's who she was supposed to end up with since they went to the trouble of having Dustin know the guy and all.
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Aurora Road - Second in my Maxis-Only Items house series on: 2006 September 13, 11:33:21
oooo... a series. exciting! ^.^ *downloads this one too*
17  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Lot Sync Timer: All BlueSoups Suck Edition on: 2006 September 06, 15:44:02
i've made the new mesh with a working calendar but JM didn't support me enough so i've aborted the project Sad

aww. I was really hoping for something not so large and bright green and unhidable.
18  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Lot Sync Timer: All BlueSoups Suck Edition on: 2006 September 05, 05:01:11
I think a calendar shoul be more easy to be placed on a house  than that huge sand-glass Tongue

JM what did you think about it ?
we shall remeshing it ?

Was this going to happen? *curious*
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Fully furnished Maxis Item Only house on: 2006 September 04, 18:09:23
I downloaded this house yesterday. I just looked at it in game. Its really nice. I'll have to put a family in it and see how it plays. I'm one of those set-in-their-ways players who latches onto a specific houseplan and just reuses it over and over. I'm really trying to break that habit. So thanks for giving me another incentive.

"...the sim had no jaw..."

"I don't think that was a very good sim-ification... It's not very good simming."

"I agree with J.M. about the Flave Sim... not like the original guy at all."

*sighs* One of these days I'll figure out the secret handshake nose wiggle eyebrow twitch that alerts people to the fact that humor is being attempted.
21  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Chernobyl Contest! on: 2006 August 31, 06:04:40
You've rejected an original in-game template and a real life model. Your definition of normal is getting smaller and smaller. Although yes, I suppose you can't really qualify either Paris Hilton or Flaver Flav as "normal" anything. So I see your point. ^.^
22  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Chernobyl Contest! on: 2006 August 31, 05:31:24
Ok so I know its really a matter of ugly in, ugly out... but I saw this guy on MTS2 today and just couldn't resist. I paired him with another "celebrity", also taken directly from MTS2 just for this picture and then promptly deleted. She is equally as annoying and equally as mystifying to me why so popular. I probably could have clicked the button a few more times to get something even more hideous but the first result was pretty scary and proof enough that sometimes people and sims just shouldn't breed.

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Grim Reaper's hourglass? on: 2006 August 31, 02:26:02
I just managed to do my very first successful mesh swap yesterday by following your tutorial. I was going to attempt another using the hourglass, only I'm not SimPE savvy enough to do extractions myself. Given the information you offered, I will attempt it though.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Grim Reaper's hourglass? on: 2006 August 31, 00:37:11
Does anyone have the extracted grim reaper hourglass they would be willing to share with me? I'd appreciate it. And please don't send me to Carrigon's site. I've tried several times over to register for that site and it doesn't work for me.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Undead Scholarship on: 2006 August 26, 16:55:33
Hmmm... interesting. I had a teen roll up the want to receive that scholorship. I assumed when she rolled it that she wanted to be a vampire like her mother. Then I read the description. I had no desire for her to be a zombie so just let it go. If the scholorship really does work for vampires as well that would be an entirely different matter.
