That's why I did the 'basement apartment window' look. It's the only way to get any light down there. It's easy - you knock out a couple of foundation blocks, put walls on the inside, add a window (you must use move_objects on, then draw a perpendicular wall to make the window show up), and add a fence to the outside. It doesn't take away from your interior space and adds not only light but a little architectural interest.

Hmm, interesting idea. I'll have to try this when I get home. I hate basements because they are usually so dark, and I don't like putting in a lot of lamps.

One kooky idea would be offering merch with a high mark-up via Cafe Press or some such.

The poor can afford a sticker. The better-off can afford a t-shirt or other stuff.

An anti comic sans store that doesn't use comic sans for their font?

I'd love a MATY t-shirt or a bumper sticker.

I lul at "Sometimes, I believe he may be my long, lost father" and seeing that he really is the father three pictures down. Kinda makes the whole story pointless.

I luled at that too. It's no wonder the author just lost interest in the story, it's really not that interesting at all.

Also, how many 12's care about how much junk food they eat? Whatshername wouldn't be the one getting in trouble for living alone for two years, her mom would. The guy might get in trouble too, since he knew about the abandonment of a minor and didn't do anything about it.

Normally my sims are all the same, nice, clean, active. They normally look similar and all have only positive relationships with each other, blah blah blah. It's no wonder I get tired of a family before the 2nd generation is fully grown.

After wasting my entire work day reading Awesomeland yesterday, I decided to play with a mean sim or two. Fighting and enemies are so much more fun than everyone getting along. In real life I don't like everyone I know, so why should my sims?

As for deciding who marries which sim, if it's a created sim it's normally the first person they think is hot that they can build a positive relationship with. For their children, it's usually just someone random. If they bring someone home from school, that's usually who they grow up to marry. Sometimes I use the crystal ball, set it to desperate and pick whoever I think is the most attractive sim.

Ooh! Castle's are cool. Mine always come out looking stupid.

I like the layout of the bedrooms. There's plenty of room for sharing with additional siblings.

This is the most unique house I've built in the Sims, traditionally I build square boxes. It has been briefly playtested, and I have all expansion packs, and all stuff packs except for Ikea and Teen stuff.

Aerial view of the house. The glass room is a lounge/creativity room, and the room on the other end of the bridge is the living room.

Interior of living room.

Glass room

Pier for fishing, sadly the Sims don't actually fish off of it.

Bottom floor, this floor consists of a pool room, a door to the back yard, and a staircase.

The backyard is an outdoor eating area.

On the second floor is a kitchen(1), dining room(2), nursery(3), spare room(4), and three bathrooms.

The third floor has a master bedroom with en suite bathroom(5), two childrens rooms(6), and another bathroom(7), lastly this floor has an outdoor hotub on the roof.
