TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet Adoption = Rich Sims Only

Stats prove around my parts that if you scoff at the price of an adoption fee you will also scoff at the price of petcare in general, including food, shots, decent place to sleep etc. I say if you dont have the funds to adopt then you dont have the funds to invest in the care of your pet either, so please just say no to pet ownership - its perfectly ok to not have a pet.
As far as the sims are concerned, I thought it was pretty close to accurate, pure breds cost money, and most of those higher priced pure breds in the catalog also come with a range of skill sets and training. So to the title...uh so? Get a puppy instead those are pretty cheap, or adopt a stray, those are free.

Something I noticed about that statue last night is not only does it have an enviro score but also a fun score...are there interactions with it? I dont recall any of the other statues having a fun score (although it does raise fun to look at them).

what do you want to bet they have some sort of wonky new bone assignment, thats not related to anything prior. I still cant use Glamour clothing meshes, even ones extracted from the game for those without Glamour. sneaky...

Ok, but usually where there are replacement skins the creator also offers a nonreplacement, and generally speaking that is only offered as a replacement skin after a gazillion people beg and kiss ass for it.

It sounds like if you have the previous holiday stuff pack you can get a 'special' stuff pack that only includes the new items, but the previous holiday stuffpack is required to be installed in order to install this special mini stuff pack.
However, if you dont have the previous Holiday pack you can get the new one which include all the previous stuffs plus 20 new items...
At least that is the way I read it.

right, I realize the item itself teaches them nothing, but simply using the item provides for a way to learn the behavior as opposed to not using it or vice versa, obviously via a sim scolding or priasing. I am just trying to find out what all learned behaviors there are and how those are triggered and by which actions/objects.

Something sparked my curiousity, so I thought I would ask here since I cant look myself for a while. What all motives and training you people discovered per pet and per item?
Pet bed = increases comfort and energy, pets can relax and sleep learned behaviors= staying off sims beds...anything else?
Kitty Condo - increases fun, comfort and (is scratch or energy in there - can they sleep in it?) learned behaviors = staying off furniture, not destroying furniture...anything else?
Chew toy = increases fun and chew need learned behaviors = not destroying furniture....anything else?
Cat toy = increases fun? Learned behavior = I have no idea.
Catnip = no idea
Doghouse= increases engery and comfort, both dogs and cats can sleep and relax in there as well as breed learned behaviors = not sleeping on sim beds, not sure what else
Food bowls = fills hunger learned behaviors = eating animal food
Litter box = decreases bladder Learned behavior = using litterbox instead of floor
Playing with other animals = being friendly/not showing hostility Sniffing = calmly sniffing Howling = uh howling? Peeing outside/inside = not doing it inside or not doing it out side?
what are some of the other behaviors you have found?

yes I have, and if you use one of those full length wall mirrors behind a cabinet/counter in the bathroom, you end up with a dog in the cabinet half the day while the owners are at work because they seem inexplicably drawn to it, sadly however EA didnt do the greatest job on the pets to prevent clipping into other things. Its almost as if they are just objects, like crupplebottom and babies.

I dont quite understand why they didnt make more than one slot on the pet beds, I mean those things are huge in comparison to the pets, and realistically pets do tend to sleep together for warmth, especially youngsters

Actually he removed it because people complained, even though it clearly asked you if you want to install it and the default was not to. Not that I ever complained or would about it, but I didnt think any additional mods belonged in the CEP either. CEP is bad enough with all the rules and regulations, I dont need additional bloatware with it, especially considering I would never even think to look to CEP to screw with my light settings. Maybe its just me.

yes he was, besides - logically speaking...why would there be such a thing as a dvd drive if cd drives could read them? (keeping in mind that dvd drives came after cd drives)

I was looking at the last modified date on the Directors Cut package or the moreawesomethanyou-pets.zip date
I tend to just updated the whole thing since I know some mods are dependant on others

Interesting...thanks for clearing that up, I have never messed with that mod or even looked at it. Because both of those interactions are accessed through the same pie menu (the sim menu). Hacking the sim menu is a VBT unless it is absolutely necessary to the functioning of the mod (as it is with Inteen). The childsleepover should have been written as a plug-in social menu object, not a hack of the sim menu. Definately non-awesome to hack the sim menu for something so trivial.
