26  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Zombie Apocalypse: BRAIIIIIIINS! on: 2006 December 13, 14:20:46
What would make this mod truely awesome is if zombies were turned into an NPC type character with the prerequisite extreme personality not unlike the evil cow mascot except with 0 neat points and that they emitted a permanent stench, because lets face it, zombies arent nice, they are quite disgusting in general and they stink.

Neat = 0
Outgoing = 10
Active = 10
Playful = 0
Nice = 0
27  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pulled: Dizzy's Smart Serve 2g for OFB on: 2006 December 13, 03:08:09
Unless you need to stockpile food for a business then Dizzy's smart serve works just fine. I dont open those types of businesses and I still use smart serve without any incident because given the choice between running a food business and having smart serve? I choose smart serve.

The only EA pack I dont have is glamour - the rest of the packs and EPs I have with this installed.
28  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: ah screw it! (time for starting over, so what's the best way) on: 2006 December 12, 05:28:26
My advice, nuke it all. You dont need to reinstall the game, just give youself a clean slate to work with, then you can be more diligent about the stuff you do add back in. In fact, try playing all the games with nothing in for a while, then add back in your hacks that have been updated and play with that for a while. Then when you get bored, start adding CC back in, carefully and well organized complete with their own folders and pictures. Of course you can just save off all your junk to a disk, that way if there is something you absolutely must have you can find it and add it back, but odds are, there will be little you actually put back in, its just a security blanket. I did that only because at the time I had dialup and the thought of redownloading anything was icky, even with flashget, overnight lol. Realistically though, very little that I have on disk ever went back in and I found it was easier just to go find it and dl it again, being very careful about what I actually put back into the game.

I used to run my game with about 14g all the time, I am now down to 4.5g (13k files in 863 folders) now and perfectly content and organized, and thats only through nuking it all and starting over basically with each EP since NL.

Tab or movie man mode is shiny but not as shiny if you dont have a joystick, unless you hack your camera settings for ultimate control.

I thought he meant in the foundation.
32  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Atomic Bar Stools and Counters on: 2006 December 11, 18:04:52
Cool thanks, every so often I get asked to remesh your stuff, I keep saying no cause you told me NO when I asked you, several times...

Well I already keep them updated, for my own game Tongue
33  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Atomic Bar Stools and Counters on: 2006 December 11, 17:59:46
Yes, it would be very nice if Pescado would alllow the distribution of remeshed debuggers and whatnot....sadly, he does not.
34  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: side-effect of pets on: 2006 December 11, 17:55:20
I guess I just like the realism of the two mods. In my home, homework goes in the bedroom not on the front lawn or at the front door or anywhere else, and it is started at around 1900, after dinner and whatnot.
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: side-effect of pets on: 2006 December 11, 05:33:30
I have and LOVE Dizzy's homework to bedroom mod, if there isnt a desk then the sim will drop it in their room, they will even choose an empty desk (usually theirs) if there is more than one in the same bedroom, couple that with do homework at 1900 by Monique and I am a happy camper. I dont care how long it takes them to go to their bedroom to drop it there, besides for teens, it stops them from doing something else annoying in the meantime since they usually have to go to work an hour after school. Drop homework on desk run to front door, kick the cheat a couple of times and viola there is the carpool - just in time!

Its a shame there hasnt been a hack published that does the same thing as the clothing mods for elders do...
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Changing hygiene value of tub/shower on: 2006 December 08, 16:00:33
Depends on how they cloned it. It would probably be easier, for yourself to simply clone the expensive one and swap out the meshes and textures, and then the guids.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Building/Upgrading a PC for TS2 - Update, 08 September 2006 on: 2006 December 07, 17:27:03
Well, Dell does have that model listed for the same price on their website, new...why they need the phone company or the phone company feels it needs to be a go between...
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Building/Upgrading a PC for TS2 - Update, 08 September 2006 on: 2006 December 07, 16:25:34
I cant figure out why her phone company is acting as a middle man for Dell...weird.

And Sempron sucks. as does Dell, none of the really cool stuff in the box is upgradable...get an HP if you going to go name brand. You can still get a presario from HP for under 500 easy that works just fine for the sims, I got mine at Best Buy in April for 509, and once I cleaned the OS proper I havent had any problems with it, hell it even has intergrated video! (all sims/video/graphics options available with no lag, loads over 4gigs in less than 6mins etc)

Hp has payment plans too by the way, and I dont think anyone would buy a shoe from a clockmaker so why buy a computer from a phone company?

Pescado gnome!

that rocks.
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Outside & inside pets on: 2006 November 10, 18:16:45
My dogs tend to stay outside once they are trained to pee outside, stay off furniture and sim beds. All their stuff is moved outside, i.e. dish, bed, toys etc, so they no longer have a reason to even come indoors. I keep the backyard fenced without a gate and the front door locked so I dont worry about them running out the front, so they are free to come indoors if they choose too, they just dont since they are plenty happy and all their stuff is out back.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Confusion (dumb pets questions) on: 2006 November 01, 00:47:06
Hey everyone,
I have been reading a few posts here about wolves etc and im a bit confused about it.

I figure its possible to adopt a wolf (ive haven't seen a wolf yet).  Are these wolves that people are adopting the same wolves that when a sim gets bitten they turn into a werewolf?  Or can only the "Leader of the Pack" wolf bite sims.

How the hell do you get pets to be friends with each other?

Lastly, what does being "Master" of a pet mean?  Does it mean that pet is now officially part of the family or something?  I made a dog in CAS (or CAP?) and moved him in with a family but he now has a different last name.  If my sim becomes master will the dog get her last name?

Ok one more, what is the point of collars?  I hear a dog could run away, but in my case if he is recognized as a seperate family to the family hes living with, with the collar make any difference to his return?

Cheers guys Smiley

Master...yes master...

Collars - if your pet runs away the cops can find them if they have a collar.
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: In Need of PETS Compatible Teleporter on: 2006 October 31, 17:44:56
I looked everywhere in debug for a way to teleport in a (stray) pet, I could not find one - although that learned behav obj is pretty darn handy.

I had found the perfect pet for a family - a stray that came to visit one night - and never returned...pft! Not sure if its because I tried to fence it in or what (to which he escaped from! pft) So I used ChristianLov's pet teleport which worked fine - except that it seems you cant adopt the stray once you teleport it in, you can move it in, but the option to adopt the pet is not on the pet menu - I guess the animal has to come of its own freewill? Which isnt a big deal unless every sim in the house wants to obtain a pet and that 5K want wont be satisfied with the move in pet from the teleporter.

Another interesting thing I found with it, I saw in pets to teleport screen that I could transport in a matching female dog (to match the male stray). Now the male stray was in the available dogs to adopt over the phone, but the female one I teleported in, was not. I dont know where she came from, I can only guess perhaps she was from DT or Bluewater? So I had to just move her in - actually I moved them both in rather than pay to adopt the first one, I wonder what the price I pay for doing that will be...

46  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet Adoption = Rich Sims Only on: 2006 October 26, 15:49:15
I always thought the point was, you must really want the animal if you are willing to shell out the money to adopt it, rather than just randomly picking out an animal because its cute, furry and suits your whim at the moment. Its not that you will value it more, its that unless you have gobs of spare cash, you actually to think about it first before throwing down a chunk of change. However, some people do value things they paid for out of their own pocket moreso than things that are free and hold no monetary value to them personally (NOT ALL - some). I think the general idea is tho, the more hassle you are willing to go through shows your committment to actually wanting the animal longterm and doing what it takes to adopt it, again, rather than the oh its cute lets take it home approach.
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet Adoption = Rich Sims Only on: 2006 October 26, 15:02:59
Of course its not strictly true that's why Valax said TEND TO  - as in to exhibit an inclination or tendency - a proneness to a particular kind of thought or action - which is not an absolute - obviously. But thank you for coming in and waving your Look at me I am so special and perfect flag.

Seriously this is one of my biggest beefs on the internet, you can't illustrate any possible point of view without someone running in and saying 'nyhuh that's not true because I don't do it that way!' Well la-tee-da and good for you, thanks for adding to the discussion, your wisdom and brilliant repartee on the subject was illustrious and illuminating - you deserve a nobel prize!

Pfft. now wheres my jacket I think I am gonna need it today....
48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Toddlers' throw up fear on: 2006 October 26, 14:19:01
Its 'have a birthday party' fear in my game, which is funny since both parents will be wanting to throw a b-day party but jr has a mortal fear of having one - I figure it must be all those balloons or something shy children would spawn.
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sick of razzle! on: 2006 October 26, 14:06:00
My first hamster was pregnant, err...well actually the first escaped the box when we went in to the grocer and lodged itself up under the dash and died but thats a whole 'nother adventure....ok so the second hamster was pregnant. It had babies about three days later which I had never seen up close and personal before, and I was convinced my hamster was falling apart! Sadly the mother hamster was a cannibal and proceeded to behead all but two of her babies over the course of the next few weeks. My mother told me she would stop when they got hair and this was just natural selection, imagine my dismay when a furry little head rolled out one day from where the mother was hiding, obviously doing in yet another of her offspring. I eventually separated her from the remaining two, since it was pretty clear at that point this hamster was not willing to share its cage with any others. needless to say I was pretty happy when she escaped her cage a few months later and ate rat poisoning...oops.   Wink
50  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Abandonated & Unconfirmed Mods: Anybody tried these with Pets? on: 2006 October 25, 19:07:01
I only have one custom food, mozzerlla cheese and tomato sandwich, and it works fine.
