51  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Hunt bug error on: 2008 March 31, 06:57:22
This happened at Peerless Park while I was playing the sim from the sim bin - Julian Cooke. I had changed his OTH to nature because I want him to be my bug-hunter. I did that a few sim days earlier, and he has caught numerous bugs without issue. I have no idea what is causing this error, as there are so many things listed. I had done this with him before at the park and did not get any errors at all. Nothing has changed in my game since then.

Any ideas?

Could be a too many memories thing. You might try using the lot debugger (batman box) from here, and when you load your first lot, put it on there if you don't already have one on it. Then select memory...clear gossip from all. That might take a minute if there are a ton of gossip memories, and the game will freeze for a second. Then, on each playable lot memory...nuke attraction markers, then on each sim select memory...clear trash. I have about 900 sims in my hood and I have to clear gossip every few days that I play, and I clear the other memory trash as well about every other lot load. Check also under Fix and Nuke. Chances are if there is an option for something, it needs to be fixed.

Free stuff is good!.

Yes, I noticed that the CS doors and widows Havelock had posted were pulled for potential copyright infringement. As IF. A few other links I have tried, too. I thought it was wise to take them down.

I cancel the toddler playing then double-cue the parent to teach, which seems to work fine.

Any chance of the CS drums being updated for FT so sims gain music and dance enthusiasm from them?

seconded.

They were updated sometime earlier today. Works great Cheesy

They can clean tubs and shower tubs without problems. It is the showers that make them short out.

My son also thanks you. Much of your music is too hard core for me, but my son loves it. I made him an mp3 CD for his car and I often hear your music coming up the street... or from a couple of blocks away... no, I'm joking, he's not that loud, but I do hear him coming.  Grin

Oh and my ex, who apparently can't get enough music, swiped the lot.

So, three times I thank you.

I've been inspired by your idea, I've been meaning to make a reggae channel for upload. It will happen, but considering I have about 4 projects on the go, it might take a while longer.

Hey, it is my pleasure! I look forward to the reggae channel, as I can't seem to get motivated to make it. If you do get around to it, I would love it!.

I am taking this down now. 4shared seems to be cracking down on copyright infringement. If you didn't finish and need any files, pm me and I will send you a Megashares link.

Yes it did. I can't remember the name of the file though. that is why I suggested the graveyard so you could get the correct filename.

I think it is one that Carrigon made. For doing witchraft? I got rid of that download a while ago. I do still have the decorative books, though.

EDIT: Actually, it was at verystrangesims.com, I think. Should be able to find it at the Sims 2 Graveyard.

Somebody (jfade, paladin or dizzy) had a hack that made servos waterproof -- maybe that slipped into your game?  Mine can't fix plumbing without shorting out.

It was Dolphin26 at MTS2. http://sumomo.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=151932

Recently updated to say it is unsupported and might cause bugs, but I haven't noticed any. Plays just fine in my game.

I have noticed that sims don't stop reading when skilling cooking, even if sleepclock calls them. Only cooking it seems. Haven't had any problems with cleaning or mechanical.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FT - Hunt Bugs on: 2008 March 24, 07:25:26
Did you send him to that stupid park? If not, maybe it can only be caught there.

I did send mine to Peerless Park, and he found diddly-squat. Only went once though, and I will check that later. I have had quite enough bug hunting for the evening.
64  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2008 March 24, 04:06:37
I have a problem and I'm not sure if anyone can reproduce it. I am currently using your hacks:

Bathroom uses you
Sleep Clock
Coffee cup Hack
Punch cup Hack
Yellow Pee

Yellow Pee requires yellowpee, yellowpeeobject, noteleportpuddle and vampwerefixes to be installed as well. Make sure you have all of them.

65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims Can't Go Home! on: 2008 March 24, 03:56:33
This happened to a sim on vacation. I sent him to a community lot, then back to the hotel. It hood view it showed that he was there, but it was in buy mode every time the lot loaded. I used the magic wand to no avail. I ended up restoring a previous backup as a result. I had to, because he was the only one in a household of 7 to go on vacation, so that rendered the other lot unplayable as well.

Last idea I have is one that has worked for me before with problems. Go to the nVidia site and get the latest drivers for your card, and save them to your hard drive. Uninstall all the nVidia drivers for the card (check to see if you have some old drivers installed for an ATI or a different card, and uninstall those if they are there) through Add/Remove programs. Go to Device Manager and right- click on primary and secondary video cards, selecting to uninstall them both. Reboot, and let Windows find the card again. Then install the drivers you downloaded and reboot when prompted. Hopefully, that will fix it.

I noticed it says System Sentinel. I don't have that on my nVidia control panel anywhere. Never even seen that before.

I have this mod in my celebration stuff pack and I tried it tonight and it does't work for me. I have all eps and stuff packs up to Freetime. This is suppose to work with Free time isn't it?

Yes, it does work with FT. I have all eps and stuff packs, too.
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FT - Hunt Bugs on: 2008 March 23, 16:54:28
I've got two sims that are very close, probably finish today. Will let you know. There is a spider or beetle that I think you may only be able to get on a hike. Maybe that is it? I have also had sims find spiders at work with the FT chance cards.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 12, 15:27:11
If the error pops up when it is loading, hit delete instead of reset. That error will pop up until you have deleted all of the curtains on the lot.  Also, remove the curtains from your Downloads folder.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Has anyone had trouble aging townie children? on: 2008 March 11, 00:32:15
Yes, they had brought them home from school. No party, no cake. I just told them to grow up. Haven't had time to get to the adopted kid yet. It is adopted, but has not shown up. I will check tonight during a study break.

EDIT: Also can check alien kid with a party. That sim got pregnant again by aliens  Cheesy
71  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Community Wedding Fix for Celebration Wedding Arch on: 2008 March 10, 15:11:30
Ha! I completely forgot about that. No special game for me. Thanks for reminding me, and sorry for getting all huffy about it.

Nope, this is in a new neighborhood. I am anal retentive about my Downloads folder and my main hood. Everyone here knows this. I never ever use my main hood or downloads with a new EP. I have a separate Windows account specifically for testing new EPs. It always starts with NO CC whatsoever, then gets the DC. I save my main hood to a different drive completely, uninstall CEP, SimPE, Scriptorium, etc., delete all existing EA folders in ALL My Documents, run a registry cleaner, and start with a fresh EA folder that the game generates. I can assure you that either BVp2 fixed it or FT. It is impossible for it to be anything else unless I have an exceptionally special game.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Has anyone had trouble aging townie children? on: 2008 March 10, 00:10:21
I have two FT-born alien children that are about to age up. Will see what happens there. Will also adopt next lot.

Edit: Both alien children had the option to age up townies.
74  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Community Wedding Fix for Celebration Wedding Arch on: 2008 March 09, 16:26:47
By the way, FT (or BVp2) seems to have fixed this bug. I went to make a community lot wedding chapel, and put in the CS and base game arches. I had remembered the bug, and that I had forgotten to add this back in. I wanted to go test the lot before exiting the game...lo and behold, all arches had the option.  Shocked
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seeking a learned opinion... on: 2008 March 06, 23:43:48
Speaking of updates, is it finally save to install the second BV patch? That is, the latest one that doesn't come with Free Time? I have no intention of arring FT until it has been awesomized, but I'm curious about the patch. My game has always run pretty well, but I'm getting paranoid in my neighborhood's old age (4th gen and counting.)

Yes, BVp2 is safe, just install it right before you install FT. FT is Awesomized...you didn't know?
