mitchellcjs, I can has no premade apartments in uni hood. They don't show.

Pes, I edited residential lot, entered cheat code (changelotzoning apartmentbase) and then pressed load hood. Game crashes.

I tried checking out no.8 - so far unsuccessful since game crashed when I tried turning a residential lot into an apartment in an uni hood. What am I missing?

Creaturefixes has a fix for the baldness.

Why would taking away the aura help with the skin issue?

Thanks Firefly, I'll try them out. A reduced amount or no amount doesn't really matter to me I think - but I'll let you know if I change my mind - I'll play with these for a while and see what happens.

Ohh, new shiny!

Does this hack affect roommates in any way?

Edit: Thanks for the reply - this hack is truly awesome!

Two things that annoy me, if I may request, is when kids dances with adults autonomously - the sound rives me nuts, could they have given a more annoying voice for the kids? - also autonomous juggling with the cups from the espresso machine, I almost never buy espresso machine because of this.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Witches lost hats, changed hair colour on: 2008 October 22, 13:35:06
I have all other patches - none for AL. It's the NPC witches in the new hood that this has happened to. I haven't even seen them with hats.
I have the AL dc - so I got creaturefixes with that. My good witch doesn't have a hat either - and even though I am using no-layer fix for the good witch, that I know works, she's having these glittery splotches all over her face - and only her face. It looks disturbing to say the least. I'm not sure what could have happened between when it worked and now. Could this be cc related? Or is it just a coincidence that I've got more than one problem at once with the witches? I have no idea at this point.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Witches lost hats, changed hair colour on: 2008 October 21, 23:14:29
Not to mention I don't have the patch, so it can't be it.
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Witches lost hats, changed hair colour on: 2008 October 21, 12:29:11
But why haven't she got the hat? That's what bugs me the most.
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Witches lost hats, changed hair colour on: 2008 October 19, 17:01:58
Happened to me too, and I haven't installed a single patch. Me green evil witch also have a green scalp, the replacement worked nicely before. Huh Also, apparently she has elder eyebrows...

Ah, yes, I had a blonde moment there - I was just about to edit my post. It's HP's Mega hood, so yes, you are correct.
62  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2008 October 17, 13:31:32
Well, the really weird thing is, I did get alot of 'items fixed' messages. And it's a completely new hood, where I haven't had anyone rent an apartment in yet. It just seemed like a VBT.
63  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2008 October 17, 13:00:34
What's this new 'fixing borked apartments' option (don't remember the exact phrase) and what does it do? When it suddenly appeared on the batbox menu, I accidentally clicked on it, so I'd like to know if that was a VBT or a good thing?  Embarrassed
64  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.3 beta 1.7 on: 2008 October 16, 12:02:09
Thanks for the explanation. However, I have had the problem in rooms that are directly on the ground - i.e no level below, nor any foundation - so that's a workaround won't do it for me. I'm not using the mod right now, and it sounds like an insoluble issue, which is too bad, especially since you're doing such a great job.

Thanks anyway!

Do those keys work outside of the game? Maybe a key is stuck or has stopped working.
66  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.3 beta 1.7 on: 2008 October 10, 12:07:36
What's the status of the dimming of objects using the wall hanging feature? According to my tests, with normal light, the dimming is not discernible when you place ceilings. dDefinder, have you tested this with the lighting mod?

I can see thefightclub.package both in the hack directory listing and in the Director's Cut. You need MOAR sight.

OMFG! *headdesk* Stupid Crash is stupid.  Embarrassed

After clearing cache, and placing the cabinet above a sink, it now works with CC plugged in and everything. *cue P&L*

I had to try a couple of times before I got the 'file is patched' message. I put the .c file and the .exe in a folder somewhere, then I copied the latest no-cd .exe to the bin folder. It was exactly the same .exe, but somehow that got it to work - when I ran dizzy's fix again I got the correct message. I have Vista, which means I have .net 2.0 installed (I also have .net 1.1 installed)  dunno if that's got anything to do with it.  Works like a charm.

Okay, upgrading the CEP did not work, unfortunately. Is reinstall the only thing left? But then I'd at least want  a clue about what's causing this.  Undecided

I did install Dizzy's fix for removing the portrait regeneration, but the cabinet issue happened before I did that, so I doubt that's it - unless it and the CEP somehow managed to screw up exactly the same thing.
71  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 24, 17:18:39
Okay, I ended up removing everything in my downloads folder - I even removed some overrides files from Lord Darcy in the AL overrides folder - the cabinets still don't work.  Embarrassed  I don't get this. I used the Roth family as testsubjects, and I removed the .cache file. The only thing I didn't remove was the CEP. Could that do this? Although I figure everybody has it, so then more would have this problem.

For me, the CEP is always the FIRST culprit if an object is misbehaving in some way, shape, or form. Plus, I think it was updated for AL recently--update & see if you still have an issue.
Really? I have missed that completely. *runs off to the CEP thread*

I can't remember that I ever tried the cabinets on residential lots before I found out about this. I do remember them working on an apartment lot though. I haven't tried in an apartment yet though, but this is still too weird.

Update: bathroom cabinets don't work on residential lots at all for me. Anyone having the same problem? None of the cabinet specific options are there - the mirror cabinet only has the mirror options, and the other cabinet doesn't have any options to click it at all. Weird.

Inge, what does this mean for the hack that dizzy made?

EDIT: Inge, yeah, I guess. Still testing it out.  Wink
75  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Character Portraits on: 2008 September 23, 15:03:50
That's great, but I'm not sure how to make the .c file and the .exe dizzy made work. It's probably not compatible with Vista.  Cry

EDIT: nvm, I got the 'file is patched' message (just had to re paste-copy the AL no-cd .exe). Whooo, going to test it out now.
