Embarassingly, there does appear to have been an update to the toddler potty fixes that I have missed.  Way back.  Strangely, it got missed in my checks of all updates with the installation of BV, and possibly even seasons.

As for the newsbox...  same as last time, don't want to talk about it.
77  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: potty training problems on: 2007 October 31, 11:07:01
Nope, no nonstandard potties.

The thought of spawning billions of toddlers to potty train to track this down is terrifying.  I think I'll just live with it.  It's not exactly game-breaking, especially given that it doesn't happen every single time.  Annoying and frustrating, yes.  Game-breaking, no - or at least I hope not!

Is that a suggestion that having more than one potty is a bad thing?  I do usually only have one, except in cases of too many ankle biters.  Triplets in bladder desperation straight after aging prompted me to chuck some extra ones in.  Otherwise, just potty recolours, no other potties.  Only other thing that has anything to do with potties is twojeffs toddler potty fixes.

Crud!  It's an intermittent problem, tracking it down is going to be a real bitch.

Having a problem potty training toddlers - not all toddlers, not all houses.  An error occurs, just as they are about to finish...  They gain the ability to use the potty, but get no memory and the want is unsatisfied.

Error logs attached.  I'm confused.  Work of the non-awesome?  I don't recall putting in anything new since quite a while before this problem started.

Probably the non-awesome.  I still have all leftover-related menu options available.

For the uninitiated...  If you have Nessed (or pulled a Ness), you have an old version of a file lurking about somewhere hidden that is causing a newer version of the file to bork up in some way.

Hint: Duplicate files show up as pink in clean installer.

Mortgage shrubs are different to the stay things shrub.

I wonder if Pescado's magic wand would be useful in situations like this - I believe it depreciates the value, but I've never tried it so uncertain how it actually works.

Is there visitor controller for bon voyage? I didn't found it anywhere, only seasons version

Are you registered on the site?  The BV visitor controller is in beta testing, only registered members can see the forum where it's located.

 Embarrassed  That's what you get for posting before breakfast.

Before you uninstall/reinstall, have you checked that it's not an item of CC that is causing it?

Remove your downloads folder and see if the mailboxes still bugger up.

erm...  kids don't need to go to school while on vacation  Huh

It might be my imagination... or the fact that I stupidly forgot to turn off the move objects cheat, but I could swear that the other day I was able to stack flower beds on top of each other.  Huh

I note that the clothing tool has been updated.  I won't have time until after work to check it in game, but perhaps the FOJ has given us what we wanted?

My tans and sunburn don't seem to be permanent.  Although, I have only had one of each, but they seem to disappear in time - seems like quite a long time, but it does go.

If you get it to work, I'd love a caravan park* for my game too - would it become available for download?

*Australian term for "trailer park"

Just want to add that the recent update seems to have fixed the problems I was having.
93  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: An odd want on: 2007 October 12, 21:12:18
I have noticed that if a sim manages to "marry a rich sim", they seem to temporarily turn into a fortune sim and want heaps of stuff, regardless of their aspiration.  I've seen it with every aspiration, it passes after a while.

I've got another sim with the want to inherit money from her spouse, pretty much in the same circumstances.  I locked it, just because I could.  Will see what happens later.

94  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Uni+LS Career LTWs on: 2007 October 12, 06:27:39
Time constraints don't allow me to join tradewars this time round.  You should have started two weeks ago, or wait 8 weeks, and then I'll be fine.

Found the list.

Using a popularity sim to check...

Personality: Neat=5; Outgoing=5; Active=7; Playful=3; Nice=7.

From the list, the relevant uni LTWs are:
Cult Leader: Asp(Popularity|Knowledge) AND Paranormal >= 700
Icon: Asp(Popularity|Pleasure|Romance) AND Outgoing >= 300 Entertainment >= 700 AND Culture >= 400
Visionary: Asp(Romance|Popularity) AND Culture >= 500

She has the relevant outgoingness required.
Interests in Paranormal=8; Entertainment=9; Culture=8

She should qualify for all three, but the only LTWs I can get coming up are: 20 best friends, Become captain hero, own 5 top level businesses, become media magnate, become the law and become celebrity chef.  Yes, I have cycled through them all.

Something's definitely screwy, where should I start looking?
95  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Uni+LS Career LTWs on: 2007 October 12, 06:14:24
How will more dead Nesses improve my sims' LTWs?

Is there a run down on the personality traits/aspirations/interests required to get the uni LTWs?  If I can locate a sim that should be able to get one of them and check, will be easier to find out if it's just sadorandomness or something's not working.
96  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Uni+LS Career LTWs on: 2007 October 12, 04:44:09
I have BV, LTWvariety, this hack, but NOT the life stories careers.  I'm not getting the uni LTWs to come up at all...  is something messed up, or is this just completely and utterly random?
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV patch is out on: 2007 October 10, 02:19:24
Correcting the spelling mistakes?  I think they got one, but they've still missed another.
98  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV patch is out on: 2007 October 09, 22:38:20
I think I'd rather trust Pescado's antiredundancy than a hack that promises to leave unlinked character files strewn about all over the place.

Antiredundancy was being used before BV, so I'm sure it will be safe to leave it there.  I certainly am!
99  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: An odd want on: 2007 October 08, 06:58:52
I see the fear of the social bunny fairly regularly - especially with popularity teens with high outgoing levels.  I suspect its the wants and fears sanity mod that's making a lot of these odd wants actually appear now.
100  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: An odd want on: 2007 October 08, 02:06:37
Nope.  I do have most of the DC, though.  I'm still puzzled as to why a knowledge sim wanted to inherit money.  It's something I'd expect a fortune sim to want - even though inheritances don't count as money earned.
