Are there suppose to be separate color options on the deco chaise lounge? when I installed they seat isn't separated from the base like the chair. I have all expansions to BV.
52  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighborhoods and Townie creation (Updated for BV) on: 2008 March 13, 13:51:01
But can I make custom ones using the gun?  Can I pick their clothing, skin, hair and such?  I tried to make a custom sim that way, but it wouldn't let me pick the clothes or hair, just skintone.  I don't know what I did wrong  Roll Eyes  or if I need another hack to customize them from gun/tree creation.

I did use the clean template for BV, but don't know if I created my BV sims as a family first, then move to the lot per instructions if I still had to use Sim PE to remove their memories from the hood.  I am glad that I can use the lot debugger, but need clarification on what I am doing.

With the debugger do I just clean the lot or clean each sim?  (This is my first time using the debugger heeheh, this is my first clean hood, got tired of hood corruption)  Do I clean each sim before I townify them or after?

I am using the cleaned templates with the original hoods.

Can I make the custom BV townies?  (the blond and redheaded asians/islanders are mind boggling)  Do I still need to use SimPE to delete their relationships?  Or is there a way to generate them will on the lot, wearing the custom skins and clothes with the gun?

I was thinking it might be better to create them in a custom hood with nothing in it, then take the hood file and the character files and switch the files for those vacation hoods to my cleaned original neighborhoods.

I found one defective download that caused the issue.  I am not sure if moving it to my back up computer while my computer is in the shop broke the download or what.

It never showed as conflict or anything in SimPe, The Download's Organizer, or Sims 2 Clean Pack Installer.

But now it is fixed!

On my two computers, one uses F-2 key and the other uses F-8 key at the splash screen to load BiOS.

Mine did the same thing in December, then started having BSOD constantly.

Check your BIOS to see if you can enable the USB ports.  Mine no longer had that option, even though I updated my BIOS.  So I am pretty sure my Motherboard is shot.

Here is a free diagnostic CD you can download that was highly recommended to me by a computer tech person.

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/  That is what I used to narrow down what I needed to fix before taking it in for repairs.

Yes, I have.

Should I try deleting the other family members?

I had same problem with my desktop and Sims2.  It is your hardware, not the game.

I have the problem narrowed down to bad motherboard or video card on my system.  After 4 months of reformating and it still not fixed, I took to a local shop for $29 to tell me exactly which piece of hardware is bad.  I should know shortly what piece is bad and if it will be cheaper to rebuild or buy new.

Good luck!

Hi,

I am not sure how to track down a bug I have with the toymaker bench.

I installed Clean Maxis only hoods and use the moreawesomethanyou hack to prevent additional townie regen.  I opened up my Pleasantview and Bluewater Village suburb and played the Tinker family.

The toymaking bench on the lot was first only usable by the females in the household.  It is greyed out for Steven Tinker.  So I exited the lot, reloaded and now it is not usable by any of the household.  I had a similar error with all the kitchen appliances with Darren Dreamer, but I forced error on him and did RESET and he was fine.  This didn't work for the Tinker family.

Is there a way I can reset the lot or household?  Is there a debug function I can use to trace the problem?

I do have SimPE but have only used it to change a couple of sims to custom skins, but if there is something I could open and look at in there, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

I don't know if this is a game bug, but I haven't seen much information regarding this issue.

 Huh
I was making a church lot and setting it up for wedding. The Trellisor Wedding Arch and the "I Showed Up" wedding arch are both available to place on community lot.

I can place the Trellisor Wedding Arch anywhere on the lot. However, when I go to the "I Showed Up" wedding arch from the Celebration Stuff Pack, it won't let me place it on the lot.

If this is residential only, why does it show up in my community sort? Is there a fix so you can use the arch on a community lot? Or is this a bug?

Thanks!  Cheesy

(I have all stuff packs and expansions installed)
