Any chance we could get a repeat action type macro that maintains motives a la power idle but returns the sim to a selected task?

My game is playing smoothly. One thing I do not like is that the game does not fast forward when only the bots are awake in the house. I wish the sims would use their cars unless we tell them to use the jetpacks or boards. I have one sim that boards all over town instead of using her car. I have a few glitches but overall it plays well, so far.

I think the world is quite beautiful, and much more than I expected.

You can tell them not to use the board or jetpack. Unless i am missing something...

When brevity is the soul of wit, elaboration makes me a dullard...

SC doesn't care about mermaid hydration motive.
I haven't had the opportunity to examine this yet. What does it do?

It's essentially the hygiene motive. Merfolk must regularly be in water to fill it up, when it's fully depleted they die.

I've also noticed that baths seem to fill it up faster than showers.  Also standing in the rain or swimming does it, too.  It's really more of an annoyance than a feature as it decays too fast.  The only way it wouldn't be a pain is if we could build houses underwater...or at least let them sleep in water...but I digress...

Oh, and the Dirt Defiant trait supposedly doesn't affect hydration, but mermaids can still take it...I haven't personally tested this, but I saw complaints elsewhere about it...I certainly wouldn't cry if you added it to the list of motiveperkrebalance changes.

Mermaids apparently still have a hygiene motive, it's just hidden and (mostly) static.

Mermaid's also have a slightly different hunger system.  Normal foods don't fill them up as much (although there's mods for that) and seafood and kelp is supposed to work normal for them.  Not really sure if SC needs to be adjusted for that or not.

Will SC be updated for the new (oldnew?) skills and professions?

I would like to reiterate this request.  Although for anyone interested in the meantime the study skills online mod at mts with hidden skills enabled will allow you to grind the skills and professions in a boring semicheaty manner.

I'd much rather do it through normal (albeit macro'd) gameplay when possible.

SC does not appear to be monitoring the vampire thirst motive properly.  If I use the "Eat" command, it functions as expected, but SC will not trigger the command on its own.

So this is still a thing...

Depends on whether you consider it a silly question or not. It's definately against the rules to ask questions that have been asked and answered. It's also against the rules to ask somebody else to do something for you that you are unable to complete due to personal ignorance and/or laziness.

Do you consider the fact that you cannot make the internet work indicative of a lack within yourself? Or with the universe/internet?

I say that you should at least try using an alternative browser before you throw in the towel and admit that you should be sporked.

I like you.

Also I did try another browser, three to be exact, and I went to two other sources of 'internet' to see if the problem was with the connection on my end. However, I would like to know how I am being ignorant. Disregarding that I am ignorant to how I am ignorant.

Now, now, don't bring logic into her power fantasy.

Twilight Apocalypse?

In its defense, I cannot find that information in TFM.  I'm not really even sure where I learned it.

It would be nice to have the ability to move house while at university. Seems like a glaring omission.

Why would you need to?  You're there for two weeks tops and there's no meaningful need to move.  Sims 2 did it better.

I'm not entirely sure what I just read, but I think I love it.

No, no really, the zip is corrupted if you're him.

Make the lunacy moodlet go away, please.  My sims shouldn't turn insane just because its a full moon and the constant queue stomping is absurd.

The specs for the game have changed that much in the last six months?
The game gets more and more bloated, and if your neighborhood is getting bloated, that doesn't help it either.

Fresh install, fresh hood...but I don't wanna clog up this thread w non-am issues.  I've got some leads to follow up on from other sims sites, so I'll figure it out eventually.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 July 31, 12:31:04
That is called "lag", and it is caused by not having enough computar. You need moar computar.

Now if I could only figure out what is causing the bizarre hangups where the game is still animating, but nothing is happening...
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 July 30, 23:38:12
awesome.package created 7/16/12 1:18AM.  In game, the setconfig says 'BUILD 7/15/2012 07:06:08, EXPIRES 09/09/2012 07:06:08' I'm using the AwesomeMod updater.

I'm having the exact same problem.  Gonna try running w/o the updater and with a freshly d/ld AM.

[edit] First, it does not appear to be an issue if you d/l the AM and run w/o updater...dunno why.  Secondly, the initial problem seems to be from SC telling a sim to rummage in the trash when that's not actually a valid command.  Dunno about the firefighter stuff, haven't messed with it.
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2011 July 02, 12:23:56
I noticed when using AM that vampire sims get the sunlight moodlet the moment they go outdoors during the day, but if i don't use AM it takes a few hours before my sim gets the moodlet. Is there any way i can make it so the sim can take a few hours before reacting to the sun?

Vampires are supposed to react to the sun.  They're vampires.  This is what sparkletard books have wrought.  Angry

Bram Stoker's Dracula could walk in sunlight.  Wink

I couldn't find anything using search....is there no auto-socialize macro with AM?

Are you despised here? It is decidedly so.

What can I say..I like a challenge.

Although it should be noted that I'm medicated these days and thus nowhere near as much of a retarded asshat.

Part of research is asking around. So there.
