1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.25.2013) on: 2013 July 12, 21:31:07
I can confirm it doesn't work with fix installed: the seasonal food stall and the tropical food/drink stands have clerks, but if you try to get food the action drops.
The only places that sell the new food from IP properly are the food registers from WA. Without the fix installed the new food is available as snacks at the refrigerator.

Boat on the road silliness combined with better parking makes sims unroutable when arriving at destination if said destination happens to be on dry land.

Being Captain Obvious: your problem is that you're trying to load the game with incompatible mods (duh!).
By your own description, the game is already bloated with NO mods installed, so you should reconsider what you want to play with.

Also: OS X and TS3 don't play well together since... Lion? Well, a long time ago.
You can always Bootcamp, though.

The plasma fruit plant is available in buy debug and carrot plants (which are not) manage to translate with a lot - so you need a new theory.

No, without mods it isn't.
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 March 08, 07:10:02

Parties are broken. When a Sim gets invited and accepts, I still get notifications about when it starts, but there's no indicator on the map, and if I send her to the location, there's no party. Then, later on, I get a notification that she missed the party. I'm betting this all has to do with the new, improved smartphone somehow conflicting with AM.

I tested the game with no mods. Some parties (kegger, bonfire) need confirmation via text message, the party scenario only starts *after* receiving the text. The notification telling you missed it comes from a phone call, as usual.

I got a weird error, though. With AM installed my sim was hanging out at the sorority after a kegger party, near the garage door. The party already ended, so I didn't get kicked out of the lot, but when the game deleted the keg by the pool I got a flagrant system error.

Atmospheric, not fun. Where the fuck do I get umbrellas? Or raincoats?
Surprisingly, at outdoor activities tab. Who'd have thunk it?
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Town life hair on: 2012 November 21, 02:32:31
There's only *one* male haircut and it is somewhat a redo of the Emo Cut from the Runway Riot set in the store. 75 Simpoints for the hair.
Seriously?
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 November 14, 19:31:28
Game is playable again, festival is working, NPCs are spawning and combusting spontaneously every 5 minutes on summer as intended by EA.
Yay!
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 November 14, 05:30:58
Festival items don't spawn at all if AwesomeMod is running. Also, with ErrorTrap, not a single NPC shows up in game, and story driver goes nuts trying to spawn *any* NPC, got over 76 error messages. Without AwesomeMod NPCs and service sims show up normally.

[EDIT to add log and save]
Save folder.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I make the Sims 3 recognize installed expansion packs? on: 2012 October 15, 18:34:00
I have Ambitions (EP2) and Late Night (EP3) already installed and recognized by the launcher and the game. I recently legally acquired Pets (EP5) and installed it to the same base directory, but the launcher will not recognize it, and when I attempt to run TS3EP05.exe manually, the game reverts to Late Night.

Is there a configuration file somewhere that I need to edit? Thanks.

What do you mean by "same base directory"? Unless the "base directory" is Electronic Arts, you're doing it oh-so-wrong.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Since Patching... on: 2012 August 02, 21:13:05
I checked the AM Configure tool, but there doesn't seem to be any option in there for it...

Look harder. This is a feature, not a bug.
It is disabled by default, so you're the one who turned it on.
RTFM.

14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lucky Palms fails to recognize the existence of arred EPs? on: 2012 July 04, 18:02:25
AFAIK only hoods that came with expansion packs do auto-placement, none of the store hoods have that.

You know wrong, since Barnacle Bay, Hidden Springs and Riverview do auto-placement of Ambitions and Showtime lots.
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 March 12, 14:25:14

I have other mods, but no core mods.

Any advice?

Uhh... move the other mods out of the directory and test if the problem is indeed with AM?
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 05, 02:24:04
It's an inside joke on the game that every object with glass in it is a "Murano", referring to Venice, Italy; while the ones in steel are either from "Alvar Eero" or "Pierre Alto", a play with Alvar Aalto and maybe Eero Saarinen, two industrial designers from the 20th century. It's an in-joke, but not a particularly good one.

Or "moreno" (hahahahahahahahaha) from TSR is working for the Store now, whatever your tinfoil hat tells you. Dumbasses.

[edit to correct stupid idiom]
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 December 04, 15:37:55
In response to Coltraz about the pieces from the Mid-Century kitchen named Murano, I thought the same thing. Is that prick working for EA now? Maybe Thomass will jump on that and make false claims again.

Let me Google that for you: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=murano+italia.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims game keeps crashing - needs moar RAMs? on: 2011 October 23, 01:35:38
Also that virtual memory is way too small -- that alone crashes the game.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 August 13, 01:39:44
If you upload a house with decrapified objects they will be replaced by random defaults (random bed, random fireplace, etc) from the base game; sometimes they even overlap or appear on weird places floating on the lot. Not a pleasant scene at all. And they definitely revert to default colors and patterns.

That happens all the time, even with my own old saves, I prefer using non-decrapified files whenever possible.

21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck on: 2011 June 10, 08:53:27
HA!!!!!  Body hair doesn't work.

You create the sim hairy as an ape on CAS and the hair is there as designed. Nice.

Then, if for any reason at all you change the hairdo on said sim, you're out of luck: all the body hair is gone. But wait! There's more!

If you change the clothing of your hairy sim the body hair is gone as well! And don't even bother trying to apply it again using a mirror - or the stylist station or even editsim: if you apply the body hair it will not stick once you leave the screen! It's magical!

Now, if you are quick enough to click the "save" button on CAS/mirror/makeover twice before the hair is off, then the body hair sticks, but with a catch: the sim now wears the black underwear as everyday clothing! And don't try to change clothes again, the hair will vanish again. Awesome!

Actually the body hair as accessory on MTS is much more reliable.

Add to the fucked list: photography is not working anymore. Read the book to gain 3 points of skill, grab the camera bought on a consignemnt store and voilą: point, shoot and sim got stuck doing nothing. Of course he got charged for the photo and couldn't move until "resetsim". The camera doesn't even mark potential themes anymore; it acts like the cell camera now. I didn't patch the game yet, and since there's no patch for WA I doubt it will be fixed now. Thanks for borking this one, EA.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck on: 2011 May 30, 21:52:06
Someone needs to mod memories so they are gained by not-in-play sims.  They really missed a way to see how your non-selected sims have been doing while you were not looking.

The game already does this - townies get memories and reputations like any playable sim. I'd ask for a mod to stop them from getting those memories because savegames are about to get huge in no time.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: How to find and remove junk emiitters from former junkyards (Ambitions) on: 2011 May 20, 12:16:38
Or you can go on the lot with buydebug and moveobjects enabled and apply patches of carpet on the area so the emitters will magically show so you can delete them without having to do any digging at all.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause on: 2010 November 03, 15:07:37
I suspect in my LN game the neverending pause is related to mixology. Something is borked on the skill gain and for some reason when a sim is about to gain the first skill point it pauses forever. I figured that out by chance after 3 different games. I have no idea who are the sims freezing the game on my first saves but on the last one if I make my sim read a mixology book or practice on a bar it pauses forever at the skill gain. I didn't notice this before because I usually send them to a class.

The problem is I cannot prevent NPCs from practicing or learning skills. I suspect some other new skills are broken - this was reported on the BBS. On my other save games I can avoid freezing by using ResetWorld a few times, but it is getting too frequent now so it is impossible to play. I have to investigate this though, my very first game playing Late Night never paused or crashed for over 6 sim weeks. I did few interaction with celebrities and didn't try most new features.

The only mods I have installed are AwesomeMod and Twallan Master Controller. Games played with store content but no other CC, cache deleted.
