51  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 08, 04:07:38
OK I figured it out - you have to change the OBJD file file in each item from 0x008D to 0x008B.  I did that on the dining chair and then it shows up.

I will work on fixing all the others to show up in game and reupload.
52  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Art Nouveaulicious Collection on: 2009 January 08, 03:19:45
The items do not seem to be showing up in game for me - I'm probably missing something obvious.  Any Ideas?  I have all EP/SP's including the Store  Tongue

UPDATE
All Hair EXCEPT the male child hair.

Anyone else notice this?

Eaxis Fails at hair meshing.
That gap is on the teen mesh.

I think two of the female child's hair styles are still missing.  At least I don't have them yet and I believe I have downloaded everything on here so far...

Dashing Modern Bangs for Girls
Child's Stylish Modern Bob Hair

They are in post 35 provided by robovanrobyn
55  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 04, 01:45:18
Wow I didn't notice the rug till now... yeah that's only 50pts for you Simsbaby  Cheesy

bzrburns - thank you for the kids clothes, but it seems about 1/2 the files are empty packages.  Stupid EA downloader.
56  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 19:44:57
What's left to buy? I'd like to contribute.

See post #6 by knightguy on page 1- he is removing items from the list as they get posted.  It looks accurate to me.
57  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 18:24:18
Sorry didn't mean to sound impatient cause I am not. Just trying to get clarification on which were fixed and where to download the files to. Will wait for the final collection. Back to lurking.  Lips sealed

If you put files in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads files will appear with the custom star.
If you put files in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\ {your latest EP} \TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins the items will not appear with a custom star.  Note this will only work for ITEMS not clothing or hair. These are best placed in your Downloads folder.

If you MUST HAVE FILES NOW I suggest starting with post 1 and reading through the entire post to replace or update files to get the correct files. It is amazing what you can learn when you read an entire post.  Grin  A convienent shinny collection will not be posted until all items are aquired and are fixed.
58  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 17:01:42
Could someone who got the file from jaldeer on the first site put up them under another link because it still not works. I get only 404 errors forever.

http://www.mediafire.com/?1d3lot22mlw

reuploaded jaldeer files

NOTE - all of the clothing files originally were catagorized as both everyday and formal.  I removed the formal catagory from the
funkyuniform files and removed the everyday catagory from the bonddress and fancymodern files.  I'm sure anyone who want the original catagories restored can do this easily with Sim PE or Wardrobe Wrangler.
59  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 15:37:16

i just tryed the plant an it shows up in the game alright but it wont let me place it all i get is air lol Embarrassed

I'm completly stumped.    Huh    It is able to be selected and placed in my game just fine.  I can use the recolor tool on it and everything.  I can grab it with the hand and move it after it's been placed.    I just don't understand this.   Can someone more awesome that I help out here?  Am I missing something obvious?

UPDATE
OKAY!  I've been able to reproduce the borkage!
The bamboo file my game uses that works fine is part of the SCObjects.package "packed" file that the Sim Store creates in the Sims2 Store folder.   When I removed the Sims2Store folder, put the seperate, single file of the Bamboo of Glory in my DL folder, and loaded the game, I get the same result as everyone else.  The thumbnail is there, but no recolors and it is not placeable.

Now how do I fix the single file?
UPDATE - removed link to Objects. package as Havelock fixed the Bamboo of Glory issue in post 53. Thanks Havelock!
60  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 14:53:38
I'm getting frusrated with the Bamboo of Suckage.  Angry

here is a link to a completely redownloaded from the store file

Fixed Bamboo plant in Havelocks post 53  (Thanks Havelock!)

I updatedpost 22 to this same link as well.  Can someone please test this file and tell me if it works?
Again I'm still unclear as to exactly how it's broken as it seems to work for me.  I realize it is not working for anyone else though, but I'm not getting exactly what is wrong with it, so I am unable to test it myself.
61  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 13:28:23
The redownloaded bamboo of glory doesn't work or the original?   I reposted the bamboo of glory along with a functioning fountain wall hanging in post 22.   The thing is, the bamboo works for me so I don't know what is wrong with it to test to see if it's fixed or not.
62  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 06:51:03
You shouldn't need to run your game first.  Relaunch your EA downloader and see if the files get redownloaded.
Check them with Cleaninstaller.  or if you don't have that launch body shop and see if they show up there.
63  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 06:12:56
Nicklovesmamas - it appears that some of your packages are empty

the afhairmodernasym
afhairmodernbangs
vestedjacket blue
vestedjacket purple

maybe try redownloading them?
64  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 05:56:14
Thank you nicklovesllamas, however your link goes to one file only.

If you put all the files in a folder on your desktop, zip it, then upload the zipped file to mediafire, that should work. Smiley

UPDATE- DUR they are all links....... I need sleep - sorry.  Grin

65  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 01:00:07
This "should" be a functioning version of the fountain. It opens without error in SimPE. According to SimPE it's found in
Decorative/wallhangings.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?5ugdinmmoq2

As for the giant bamboo of glory ..... I'm not sure what is "wrong" with this.  It seems to work just fine in my game.

But for good measure.. here it is again.

Link to working Bamboo of glory in Havelocks post 53 - Thanks Havelock!
66  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 03, 00:18:03
I will try redownloading both Rischief.

jacqpinks - The screen isn't there because I ran out of points.  There are four items I didn't buy stated in my post.
The screen, the door and the two windows.
67  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 02, 23:58:27
yeah i agree lol

Cerridwen: all the items seem to work in my game. thanx

I have found that I can't place the Pottered Bamboo glory it wont show, the thumbnail is there but it isnt on the handtool when u select it. and I cant seem to find the fountain thingo either. thanx heaps it is a lovely set.

The potted Bamboo glory works fine for me... I'm not sure what the problem with that could be... The fountain I believe there
is a problem with. It is not showing up in my game either.   I'm trying to open it in SimPE but am getting an error.   Can someone more awesome than I see if that file is totally borked? I'm guessing since SimPE won't open it it's borked.
68  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 02, 22:16:47
I am going to get most of the furniture items.
UPDATE

Here is a link to all the furniture

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jmzz24g0zm2

The only pieces not included (I ran out of points, sorry)
Fourtunes window 100pts
Door of Opportunity 75pts
Doorways to Happiness 100pts
Commanding Soji Screen 50pts

Please let me know if there are items missing that are NOT listed above.  The last time I did a link I missed some items somehow. I believe they are all there.
I have not yet tested these in game so I don't know what is broken.  I'm off to do that now. I figure I can't fix -em anyway if they are broken so I'll just get the files out there to the people who can.  Grin

Others can get hair and clothes if they are so inclined.  But I'm just posting this so others don't waste points on the
furniture.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: M&G carpet failure on: 2008 November 25, 00:54:47
It happens without the new cheats.  It's a simple EAxis FAIL.

I noticed it too.   Unfortunately, I'm not awesome enough to fix it.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood Object Gone Missing with AL Patch 2!!! on: 2008 November 22, 14:59:49
This "might" have been fixed in M&G.   I seem to have both buildings.  I remember only having the new AL one after the initial install of the EP, then only the NL one after the first patch.  Can't remember what happened after the 2nd patch, but now that M&G is installed, both buildings are back.

If you are not planning on installing M&G, as tippytoeturnip posted, you can get them from Neighbourhood99s website.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: M&G setQuarterTilePlacement on/off new decorating "cheat" on: 2008 November 22, 00:10:01
Yes to clarify this is not the floor tile cheat from pets.

This cheat will allow you to place objects 4 to a single grid (with moveobjects on) or move an object a 1/4 tile over.
It is more like boolprop snapobjectstogrid false, yet still keeps them on grid.  Its great for centering a 2 tile coffee table or TV with a 3 tile couch.

It seems to work for most objects and sims still use them correctly such as toilets and sinks.  Some objects will need tweeking - I tried to use it on a table and chairs and while it allowed me to move the table and chairs a 1/4 tile over, if the chairs are not still a grid apart it will leave the chair in a "pushed out" state.

Rugs do not seem to be affected by this cheat. I had the cheat activated and was still only able to move them a full grid space.

Here is a link to a video I made of it - you can see first the coffee table move with out the cheat, then with the cheat, then again with out.

72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / M&G setQuarterTilePlacement on/off new decorating "cheat" on: 2008 November 21, 23:04:57
setQuarterTilePlacement [on | off]
After entering this cheat in the cheat window, you then turn quarter tile placement on and off using "Ctrl + F" anytime you are in Build or Buy Mode.

This "cheat" breaks up the grid into 4 sections letting you move objects closer together/centering them without having to do the boolprop snapobjectstogrid true/false command all the time.

It's really cool for decorating - looks like they are tying to emulate the quarter grids that are supposed to be in Sims 3?
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Change camera setting to eliminate fade? on: 2008 November 21, 02:11:06
If I'm not mistaken, there is an in game camera setting for that. I'm pretty sure I have my Fade Distance set to "off."

I do have it set to off in my "in game" settings too, but certain objects would still fade when completely zoomed in.   I went ahead and changed the settings to 0 and tested it and it seems to work. Nothing is fading now.  I'm still curious as to what the different Fade settings mean.
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Change camera setting to eliminate fade? on: 2008 November 21, 01:09:38
I would like to change the camera setting so that when I'm playing and zoom in, objects like lights, wall decorations, and hanging plants ect.. do not fade out so I can still see them when zoomed in.

I'm wondering if going into my livecamera.txt file in MyDocuments and changing the settings from:

setparam objectFadeDistance    10
setparam objectFadeFalloff     4
setparam objectFadeAllObjects  0
setparam objectFadeCineCam     0

to:

setparam objectFadeDistance    0
setparam objectFadeFalloff     0
setparam objectFadeAllObjects  0
setparam objectFadeCineCam     0

Would that do the trick?  Would game asplodie?  I'm also wondering what's the difference between FadeDistance and FadeFalloff?
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 19, 04:41:19

There is also a new menu option added to all flowers.  Your sims now have an option to "smell" the flowers.  They get down and sniff them.  It seems to increase fun, however i did not notice the nature hobby symbol so I'm not sure if the
sim gets a nature enthusiasm boost or not.

OK I was wrong - I am now seeing the nature hobby ++ symbol when they sniff flowers, so this seems to be working.

As for the planters - the small cacti planter is able to go on tables and counters. The larger planters, the potted perennials and potted coleus, are not.  The large Moroccan plant and the phallus flower plant are end table size themselves.
