76  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs on: 2010 June 17, 01:14:51
This is the problem that I have found. I got the doll from at least one lot that I downloaded that I know of, and who knows how many others. I built a lot and was uploading it and learned that it contained the doll. That is how I found out about this whole thing. The scary thing is that I know that my sims3pack that the game generated contains it, BUT when I went back and checked the pack with Delphy's sims3pack cleaner, it is not showing as being there.

So, in my case, checking it with the program that was supposed to find it, did not show it as attached to lot, when it is.

That explains it. I knew it looked like they were used. I am glad to hear that I am not totally losing it .... yet.

Here are some pics. In my large hood where I started from the blank flat one, I do not have any of this.  I have only the terrain in the square template and no distant terrain that cannot be altered. I have the edges routed, so like in R and SV, the edges cannot be seen.

That is what is confusing me, is that I do not have distant terrains as EA used in SV and R. All of mine flows together and if not routed still would not have any divide. So I am not sure why your hood has this starting from the blank template.

Regarding the running, I have the same thing. I checked the traits and there is nothing there to cause her to run IMO. She runs all the time, but her husband does not. As soon as the toddler son ages I will see what he does. Also, she is PG and should have a girl, so will watch her.

That is not the same as what Claeric is stating ....that the town is stagnant, but it appears to change for you as the firefighter. The town changing and being restored in a few days is one thing. It not actually changing is another. Either way, it is good news as there is not permanent damage.

81  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: OMG The earthquake scared me so bad... on: 2010 June 06, 01:30:06
FireDrake: You stated that a couch was restored after a few days. That is different from a disaster to a town. If your answer were the case, then the town would take a few days to be restored .... but per a subsequent post, that is not the case. Thankfully.
82  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: OMG The earthquake scared me so bad... on: 2010 June 05, 23:32:42
So I'm sitting at the firehouse playing video games; just another boring day on the job; when BLAMO!  I thought my game exploded.  The screen started shaking and there was a horrendous noise.  Fires braking out all over town; people trapped under piles of rubble; gas leaks in numerous homes; it was pandemonium I tell you!

So what happened to your hood? Are the items permanently damaged or do they reset? I will be very upset if a hood I have spent a zillion hours playing and building is halfway destroyed.

Does it restore itself like it does for the individual fires, per posted above?
83  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 05, 23:12:08
In my case, the AI works for her at home when playing him at work, but not for him at work if playing her at home.

I totally agree. We should not have to micromanage both sims. Unfortunately, if I am playing her he does not go to the fires on his own. The AI in the game will not manage him at work well enough when I do not play him.
84  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 05, 22:58:45
My one Sim runs everywhere too.

I have a couple. She is an architect and he is a fireman. I played her 2 days to have her do design jobs and he got dinged at work each day for not going to the fire. Does EA think I can play 2 Sims at once? I think the fire scenarios should come up only when we are playing that sim. When not, he should be at the station exercising, whatever.

I should not have to play him at work every day his whole career and have her sit on her fanny at home and wait for him to retire to start her career.

85  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Getting CC to work post Ambitions and 1.12 patch on: 2010 June 05, 22:39:54
I am leaving mine alone too as it is working the way it is still with Ambitions. Also, I am hearing of too many problems with this new method. Until what I have no longer works, I am keeping things as they are.
86  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: New World: Bayborough (Unpopulated) on: 2010 June 03, 04:12:38
I did about 8 before I was happy enough with the one I have now to use it as my main hood. It is good enough, but not perfect. As you say, I think we learn with each one. I want to do at least one or two more.

The thing I don't quite understand is how you got that look of the SV blank with a clean start. I started with a totally flat large one and never had that divide in mine.

Typical EA/Sims ..... we cannot predict anything.
87  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: New World: Bayborough (Unpopulated) on: 2010 June 02, 05:53:21
I definitely could see off the edges in several areas. Did you happen to use the blank SV template to start the hood? There is one area that really looks like the back of the waterfall area the way the terrain is painted in the area that cannot be edited. It also looked like there was that divide line  between the EA painted area and the work area. I did a drastic redo of SV and it looked familiar as far as that goes in a few places. I had to really work to hide that line and get rid of the view of some other areas.

You did a great job on the hood, but IMO if you can clean up the edges it will be even better.   Smiley
88  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: New World: Bayborough (Unpopulated) on: 2010 May 31, 14:13:36
I just installed this in my game and like it ..... but ...... did you use the camera routing tool? In my game the camera is going off the edges everywhere. It looks like you still need to do that.

89  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Riverview Objects No Longer Work in Hood on: 2009 December 10, 01:45:18
All of the sudden all the Riverview objects, rabbit holes, etc. do not show up in my hood. I have not changed anything in the world cache folder where the objects and sims files are still placed. In build mode they are not shown any longer. On lots where they were placed they are now gone. The school is gone, the military base, the spa, etc.

Does anyone else have this? Any soliutions?

I did remove all packages and made a new hood and still had the problem.

Very good information! Thank you!!!!
91  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 22, 08:25:28
This is crazy that we have to do this! I just went through my Desdren and Simpossible items and so far found that I got a blue lot from the Desdren shelf DSD02 from the Elegance dining set, I believe it is called. I thought the candles I had might be a problem but was OK with them, and then when I added the wall shelf the lot went blue the next time I opened it.

92  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 22, 04:00:16
Ok, I think I've narrowed it down to some custom stairs. I'll put everything else back in and see what happens.  Roll Eyes

Please let us know. I got rid of all recolors but so far have kept all new fence and stair meshes.

I have been wanting to do some weeding of my downloads and think this may be a good/forced opportunity. I think I am going to check all I have site by site to see what works and what I want to keep. This has NOT been a fun way to force me to do some download maintenance!
93  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 22:32:15
What is driving me nuts is there is no consistency from what I am seeing and hearing. Per my earlier post I threw in stuff from about a dozen sites and was fine. And those included plants which are on the bad list per the poster at the bbs.  I was OK with them in the game and not on the lots. I then added the lemoncandy and other items to a lot and had the blue.

Sometimes the lots are bad when the items are not on the lot at all as in your case, and sometimes they are fine even with the bad items in the game and not in lots.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
94  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 20:49:12
anelca and shadow, if I am reading your posts correctly, this is more confirmation that the problematic items simply need to be installed in the game possibly to cause the blue lots.

I cannot remember whether I actually had ever used the lemoncandy plants in the hood where I have had the problems. From your posts it seems that even if not used on lots, incompatible items can cause problems.  And I think Shower Scream had that too, if I recall correctly.
95  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 06:37:54
I just threw a fairly large sampling of CC from quite a few sites on a lot and was fine. I then added all the CC plants I have including the lemoncandy ones other than the Sims2 redos. I got the blue again. I had hoped only the redos were the problem.

So, this is another confirmation that at least some of the lemoncandy plants are causing blue lots.

Here are some more reports that the lemoncandy items are an issue and removing them has solved the problem for some players.
96  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 04:31:30
So you got the problem again simply by placing the items in the game without actually using them, correct? If so, that means that they do not have to be on a lot to cause problems.  Hmmmm ....

I am going to stick the CC that I have in at the moment on a blank lot and see what happens. I have not added back lemoncandy items yet.
97  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 02:31:21
I just added back Desdren, default skins, Garden of Shadows, NewSea, Patterns, XMSims, Xerendipity items, and the no mosaic. I aged up a child and gave her a custom Peggy hair and got her to China and back. I have saved and been to the main menu and back, and so far am OK!  Smiley
98  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 21, 01:38:25
I have been in and out of the game a few times, first with no resources file and no mods at all. All was OK. I then added my items from:
Mango
Peggy
Rose
Simlogical
SimPlanX
Sims3 Marktpltz
Sims3D
Simstrastos
toolsregame
Vita Sims

And, I was able to get 2 more Sims to vacations and back with no blue lots!
I did not disable CC in the launcher.  I am going to add more back and see what happens. So far, so good!

99  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 20, 22:37:07
Good research, everyone! I also have almost all of the lemoncandy items, and I have Mutske items as well. I am going to put in just my backup save from before installing WA or patching and pull out all packages and run with no CC and see what happens. I do not have problems with crashes, just the blue lots.

I will send a Sim on vacation and then exit the game and then go back in and see what happens.

100  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 20, 01:18:44
I have the same problem and have been reading all I can here, at TSR, MTS, and the official site. I have a totally legit game and I had to do a complete reinstall to patch and add WA which would not install without the update. I have all patches released to now.

I have tried old saves, new hoods, backups, legacys, every type of save possible. I can get a Sim to a vacation and back. Sometimes the Sim returns to a blue lot and sometimes not ....... but then the hood is borked with the blue lots next time I go to play it.

Nothing is working. I can get the lots back only be starting over with one of my backups I made before installing the EP, and then it goes haywire after a vacation, no matter what I do.
