26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Crashes when Saving- DEP not working. on: 2013 February 22, 23:53:49
The lot where I placed the balloon is in a world I have played quite a bit and the lot and world have saved with no problems in the past. I can save with no problem until I add the balloon to the park and then can no longer save from there or back at the lot I am playing. I may go ahead and post in the other section too. Thanks.

First, I placed the balloon on a lot in AS and had the same issue, but did not pay as much attention there as was just looking around the place and trying the balloon. But in my save with my legacy family in another world I tried 3 times at least and got the crashes and only after the balloon was put on a lot.
27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Crashes when Saving- DEP not working. on: 2013 February 22, 09:13:58
I have just placed some of the Aurora Skies items in my game. The baby items were added to my family house and all is fine. I added the hot air balloon to the park, and cannot save without a crash to the desktop. I have tried to place it and save 3 times and have tried saving both from that park lot and my family lot. For me, that item of CC is causing problems. So far I cannot save if that item is in my game on a lot.
28  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bridgeport redo: where to upload? on: 2012 December 08, 15:36:00
There is a thread at TS3CC where we talked about uploading EA worlds to the exchange. You should check it out. If you can, the easiest thing would be to upload the whole world and not even use a save file or need to have folks install CC separately. How much of what you are using is packages? Generally you can change packages to sims3packs with the TSRW. I have done this for objects such as furniture, etc., but I have not done it for something such as a boat. Do you want to PM me over at TS3CC? It might be easier to chat there.

Generally, any sims3packs of CC that you include with your world should package with the world. When I did my Greek one I had to tell people to get some items from SLLM. I probably should have just used packs rather than packages, and then they would have been included with the world. The only bad thing is that anyone who does not want CC will either not get the world or have to clean the file with custard before they install it.

And the bad thing about using save files is that most people will not get them. I told people all over the place they needed a save for world I did, and it has had about 1000 downloads on the exchange, and I don't think even 20 people got the save file as I told them to do.
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bridgeport redo: where to upload? on: 2012 December 06, 12:33:08
I have used Mediafire and Rapidshare for worlds. And for one I put the world file and my save in one rar. You might be able to put the CC folder in the rar also. If no, you can put that on MF or RS on its own. I would definitely not use the Bridgeport name, as EA will be less apt to spot it and have a hissy fit if you have non-legit EPs/content.  If EA finds it, they will have it removed.

How much of the CC is in package form? If just a few items, you might want to convert them to sims3packs with TSRW and then let the CC just be included in the world file. And no matter what, be sure to check your world file with Custard to remove CC that you do not want to be part of the world that has tagged along by accident.

30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.42 on: 2012 October 29, 21:16:00
I got it to install but only after getting the superpatch from SimsPrograms. Have sims swimming in the ocean already and have checked the blueprints. I am so glad they supposedly have fixed the teaching of songs for the sims to actually sing when doing that.
31  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fixing Beds That Are Still Snafu After Pets on: 2012 June 02, 18:07:48
I found it!!!! I added 2 containers. Am way to tired to keep working on this now. I think that now I just may be able to do this. I will get some ZZZs and then go for it again.

Thank you! Shall keep you posted.

+++++++++++++++

Edit June 3 - Yay! I was able to fix 2 beds so can do it now. I only have about a dozen more to do now. Thank you so very much for all the help.  Smiley
32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fixing Beds That Are Still Snafu After Pets on: 2012 June 02, 17:50:56
I am with you all the way to seeing the 4 containers that this particular bed has in the data grid. I can open and edit them it looks like. How do I add 2 more containers to include the new ones I need?

I really appreciate your help on this. I think we are getting there.

Edit: Just for the heck of it I looked at the package in TSW and managed to duplicate a container there 2 times to add 2 more. Went back to s3pe and there are now the 2 more which will need editing. There should be a way to add containers in s3pe though I would think.
33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fixing Beds That Are Still Snafu After Pets on: 2012 June 02, 16:36:27
For the VPXY I have the edit option and was able to make the changes there from the TGI. For the RSLT I do not have an edit option. I have text and hex editor options. When I choose text it does not take me to the right area. I have an option to edit an OBJK and STBL also and maybe some others, but none for the RSLT resource. Is there a plugin or something that I am missing?

I may need a pic, as am not finding anything yet.

Edit: I am looking at the settings and it shows under helpers editors for OBJK, STBL, and VPXY only.
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fixing Beds That Are Still Snafu After Pets on: 2012 June 02, 14:35:08
Thank you for the replies. As I have never done anything like this I just did some checking of the settings I have in s3pe trying to figure out how you were editing RSLTs and I was having no luck. I did not have a text editor enabled so I connected to Notepad and was able to open an RSLT. I have been up all night so am too tired to play with it now, but will see what I can do tomorrow.

That is the tute I am using. The first bed I looked at only needed steps 1 and 2, but the ones I am working on now need the additional containers.

-----

Edit: I could not resist doing a bit more. In s3pe I can open the RSLT section I need to amend with the text editor and amend the text to add the 2 more containers, but how in the heck do I amend it in s3pe in the resource file to have the changes stick? When I save it just saves the notepad text doc. I have tried to export the resource and open to amend and that does not work. So it must not be an export and change and then import replacement. How do we actually edit an RSLT?

35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Fixing Beds That Are Still Snafu After Pets on: 2012 June 02, 11:43:05

Has anyone done this manually? I have beds that the original creators have never bothered to fix .... still. I am stuck changing the RSLT. I have tried using the tool by Delphy and am getting errors no matter what I try. I have tried with and without the punctuation, with and without the X, Y, Z, etc. What am I missing? All help will be appreciated.  I do not mesh so this is new territory to me.

36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 May 16, 15:55:10
My problem is that I opened the launcher once and accidently said no instead of later, and now when I open the launcher I no longer get the popup asking me if I want to do the update.  So far I cannot find anywhere that EA provides the store patches for download, or sites like SimsPrograms.

EDIT - Problem Solved.  In the docs in the ContentPatch folder there was a "DontBugMeUntilTheNextPatch". I deleted it and the launcher gave me the inquiry again.
I said yes and the game patched and now it shows in the folder.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 May 16, 02:37:15
I did a search and could not find an answer for this. I blew it and accidently said no instead of later for the new store patch. Now I want to do the patch and I cannot find it anywhere to download and install manually. EA just says use the download section but of course it is not there as I said no. And EA lists non store patches and sites like SimsPrograms, but so far I have not found a way to get that store patch now.

Is there some way I can get the launcher/game to get it or some place that I can download it?

38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Anyone Using Process Monitor Now? on: 2012 May 14, 15:54:29
I have the latest PM 3.1.0.0.

I set the filter as you have it, and it worked.

Thank you!

Edit: I could tell my game was running poorly. Just found 12 bad items so far. I am so happy to have this working again with your help. This program is a must for this game. I would never have found these problem items without it.
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Anyone Using Process Monitor Now? on: 2012 May 14, 01:07:46
Yes, mine is 64.

This is what I have.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506)

I do not think I could get it to work on my laptop last time I tried either which has Vista. It used to work on the laptop as I bought it before Sims 3 came out and I used it to weed out items when we had the lemoncandy/others blue lots issue fiasco. But I am sure I tried on it about 6 months ago before I got this desktop and it would no longer work there. So a MS update must have messed up that too.

I wonder if I can get an older version of Process Monitor that will work or if no it seems like PM needs to update to work with 64 bit?
40  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Is Anyone Using Process Monitor Now? on: 2012 May 13, 22:13:21
I used it in the past with no problems and now no matter what I do I cannot get it to work. I have read the few threads and the help section at MTS but the information is all a bit old now. Something must have changed.

Can you use it now to check the packages you have and if so what settings are you using in the filter?

All help will be appreciated as I really want to get it working again. I have all EPs and SPs. I am using Windows 7.
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lights! Camera! Inaction! SHOWTIME! on: 2012 March 11, 15:12:55
I am having sound issues also, and now my singer cannot do anything such as audition, perform for tips, or whatever. She did simport out and back. My magician who had never been simported out still can get gigs.

Hosted a singer and had the screen go almost black again so could not see her at all.
42  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lights! Camera! Inaction! SHOWTIME! on: 2012 March 11, 01:09:06
I have not had lags but any sims that fish at the main beach where the fish are swimming are stuck there until I lead them out or teleport them out to where they need to go. It is fine at the more distant beach.

And I am having the screen go very dark like a few other people have reported.
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Trying to Kick Sim Out and Game Will Not Save on: 2010 November 21, 00:52:55
They must have screwed it up with LN or the patch? It was fine before when I used it, but is now a disaster.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Building Your Own Apartments: Late Night on: 2010 November 19, 14:47:43
No, it is also needed to contact anyone who lives in the apartment buidings. That is why my ghostbuster had to use the one in the lobby to find the client for the job. I had hoped as he was there for a job, that he could get in automatically, but he could not. He had to be allowed in by the non-celebrity clients.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Attempting to Unlock the other High Rise shells on: 2010 November 19, 08:04:17
I totally agree that it is ridiculous that Jynx does not offer one download with all shells and one without the borked ones. When it is known that the bad ones can ruin games, it is irresponsible to force people to get them just to have the safe ones.  As long as the borked ones are available to those testing, there is no need to force them on everyone else.

46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Trying to Kick Sim Out and Game Will Not Save on: 2010 November 19, 07:57:46
I honestly do not recall what the game did, but think I could do nothing as I had to use task manager to exit. I have not tried to split another family in the hood. I can try that when I play next time. I also should try it in another hood. I just was so glad to be rid of them that I spent time playing rather than testing.

I will try to remember to do some tests next time in the game.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Building Your Own Apartments: Late Night on: 2010 November 18, 01:40:21
I just had a ghostbuster have a job in an apartment building. I had to have him go down the list of the many people in the call box one by one before he could be let in the apartment to handle the haunting.
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Trying to Kick Sim Out and Game Will Not Save on: 2010 November 18, 00:08:07
I went ahead and nuked the 2 sims with force kill with the Twallan Master Controlller. I did check the fridge and it seems fine. It is one the family has had for at least 10 of the generations, a reward one from the culinary career.
49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Trying to Kick Sim Out and Game Will Not Save on: 2010 November 17, 19:22:39
I am playing my legacy family which is on generation 13, which I have just moved to a new custom hood that I made. I just built a new house for the family there. I have moved them from SV to an earlier version of it in the past with no problems. I keep forgetting in these moves that the paintings and spirits do not move with the rest of their stuff. So before, I had a sim get those things from the old place, move in, then kick that sim out. Now I cannot remove the sim from the household.

I have been able  to kick out, move, or split households in the past, but for some reason the game does not want to do it now.
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Attempting to Unlock the other High Rise shells on: 2010 November 17, 19:17:07
In this shell the only floors that I can build on are the ground level one and the one at the penthouse level. I put one on both the first time, which did not work. I then looked to see what EA had done and only spotted one on the ground level for the Prosper Room so tried that. I still cannot get it to work.

-----

Edit: Good news. I sent a sim there today and it worked and she got a tattoo. I have no idea why it did not work before, but it does now. The game must have reset it and with the exit and restart it was fixed. Whatever the reason, I am happy and now want to start working on other shells.
