I deleted the mascot's tombstone, no change.

If you deleted his tombstone, then his ghost shouldn't be appearing anymore, should it?

It sounds like the ghost has taken up residence in that floor tile somehow .....

I'd be tempted to deleted the ghost's character file, but from what I've been reading here on the forum that could be problematic if you don't delete everyone's memories of him as well.

Curiouser and curiouser ......

Edited to add:  I was just looking at the thread on being scared by a lamp (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=89.0), and it made me wonder if you'd tried the updated lot debugger?

You may be on to something with the ghost of the llama mascot.  I was trying to do some renovation at the Spectre house in Strangetown -- home of many ghosts.  There were 3 floor tiles (separate, not all in a row) that I could not for the life of me remove or put a wall contiguous to.  I finally gave up and exited without saving, deciding the renovations were not meant to be.  Upon returning to the house and playing, I noticed that after nightfall ghosts appeared at two of the three spots, eventually going outside and retiring to their tombstones.  I then tried to renovate again.  The two tiles where the ghosts had appeared could now be dealt with, but the 3rd was still unchangable.  I played the house some more until a ghost appeared one night at the third tile and went outside.  After that, I could change/build around that tile as well.

Is the house a level 6? Do you have the level 6 frat fix installed? That's my first thought when reading this, but I may be off base.

Thank you!  If the problem happens with this batch of grads, I'll give this a go.

I had this problem in a dorm, not a greek house. Sim called for "Move back to whateverville", and the cab just didn't show up.

I started out with 6 sims in the dorm. The other 5 moved out no problem. I then moved a new sim in, before I let him move out, and he wouldn't go. I already had the moveoutbugfix in place and it didn't help in this case. I got a hacked object ... it looks like a money tree - I think it was twojeffs' but I'm looking over at Varioussimmers and don't see it.

*rummages around the world wide web*

Ah, ok, I found it - it's the MoveOutControllerResetter file here:  http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=51793&highlight=graduation

I've had 3 "batches" of YAs in my Greek House, and it's happened all 3 times.

With the first batch I sent about half of them back to the neighborhood okay after graduation, and then it happened to the remainder -- they couldn't move back to the neighborhood.  There were some new pledges in the house, so the house would not have been left empty.

With the second batch, the house started crashing during year 2, so I moved them out, bulldozed, and got them a new house.  No one in that batch could move back to the neighborhood normally after graduation -- just stood by the curb.  Again, there were new members in the house, so it would not have been empty once they were gone.

With batch three, the house again crashed in year 2.  Move out, bulldoze, new house.  New pledges move in during senior year, then graduating seniors can't move back to the neighborhood normally ... again.

I'm on batch 4 now and have gotten to year 3 without the house crashing.  We'll see whether they can move out after graduation.
506  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't fufill "Graduate 3 Children" want? on: 2005 July 18, 10:47:07
Well that answers that question.  Silly me, I'd hoped that inviting the parent to the graduation party would be enough.  I guess next time I'll invite them to the house before the final final ;-)

Known Uni bug. Indirect Want Satisfaction is mildly borked. This has been reported with other indirect wants also, where they only reliably work if the wanter is on the lot at the time it happens. What this means is that in order for Graduate 3 Sims, Marry off 6 sims, etc., to be satisfied properly, it has to happen while the wanting sim is instanced in the game, in this case, when you return from your final. It's kind of broken, and I don't really see a good solution.
