TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs

As a six, my parents took me to the drive-in, and the feature film was Barbarella. I am usually sleep by the time the feature started, but I woke up just as the scene started with the killer dolls. That was too much for my F'ly, six, mind and have hated big, walking dolls since. When that download came up, I completely bypassed it. Remind me of past trauma. I'm not sure you quite understand. You don't have to download the doll to have it installed. It attaches itself to Sims3Packs. The creator of the lot/Cas part/whatever doesn't even know it's there. You won't either unless you check every Sims3Pack with Delphy's tool. You have to check installed content under the launcher to see if you have it in your game. I think those killer dolls would be awesome for Sims3.

Most people who have the doll didn't download it, it was attached to a Sims3Pack. I think it appears in the toy section of your game. I found it under installed content in the launcher and uninstalled it there. It doesn't pop up in houses as far as I know. Some sheeple are complaining that it messes up their game. I had lots of game crashes and a corrupted neighborhood, but I can't be sure that it was due to the doll.
Just use Delphy's tool to check and fix sims3packs before installing them.
It's really TSR's fault because they suck and are evil. Rebecah was dumb to go there, if she'd uploaded it at MTS2, the problem would have been solved in days, not months.

I really like this world, the different plateaus are great. It's by far the best world I've tried out.
Some of the lots are oddly shaped however and I can't quite fit what I want to on them. I'm wondering if you could upload the CAW files so I can put in lots the size I need. Stupid EA, should have made lot resizing and deleting part of the game, but of course they didn't.

Following the instructions here, I was able to update to the newest patch, keep all my CC and get CAW. I used the dbc folder and updating the resource.cfg method to make all my Sims3packs show. It's worth noting that only "alternative" sims store downloads were affected. I moved Riverview to the Non-packaged folder in Program Files, so I don't know if that would have been an issue or not.
Baaa, for all the advice given here.

Pescado does whatever the hell he wants, hence the expiration. You can use Twallan's no cd hack to circumvent it. It worked for me until I was ready to update to the 1.79 patch. He's flounced to a new site apparently, I don't have the link handy.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW

Has anyone noticed that couff couff > me sure if saying EA the sims site is a bad word or not..lol ..But they have issued a SecuROM uninstall tool available.
Has anyone checked this out yet. Will this uninstall the entire game?
Thanks
Apparently, it only works for the SecuRom specific to BV. It doesn't work for the infestation due to Deluxe, H&M or Pet Stories. You also have to have the BV disc, so anyone who took up EA on their refund offer is out of luck. EA seems determined to fuck this up every possible way it can.

How can I be sure it's gone? I think I got it all, but I would love to have a complete list of everything to search for to be sure. I've already checked for "uaservice7" and "SecuRom" followed Li'l Brudder's steps... Being entirely un-awesome and having mucked about in my registry with no smoke spewing out of my machine, I'm wondering if I missed something. I still have a folder in my registry: It did have a SecuRom folder under Software which I deleted. It also looks differently (with all the essential folders under it) than others I've seen . It's possible that i f***ed it up and did something more un-awesome than usual. If in fact it is gone, my Norton still fails. I have some more complicated steps to follow from Norton Tech help. We'll see if that works.
