Nah, the urns were sitting on tables, which got sold when the family moved out.  No more urns on the lot Sad

GAH FLYING FUDGE FRUITCAKE

Stupid me moved a family with two urns out without moving said urns either to a community lot or into an inventory.  Obviously these urns have now gone byebye from the original lot.  Is there any cheaty type way to bring the dead family members back long enough to boolprop them back to death?
79  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / See a Wolf and Leader of the Pack on: 2006 December 17, 22:47:08
One of my sims yesterday had a want to see a wolf.  He gets this occasionally and seeing the big white dog Arthob generally fills the want (I'm assuming this is an ordinary wolf).

Leader of the Pack Baxter arrived on the lot.  Cool, I thought.  Sim Mikey (not from here) was up and about and once again had the see a wolf want so I sent him out to greet Baxter.  He did so, easily, but the want wasn't met.  Baxter then promptly ran from the lot.

So random ordinary wolves ok for the want, but not LotP? Undecided

Well a couple times I've gotten bored or decided I've let Brandi and Cassandra have too many kids (not together! Actually, come to think of it...), or I've had a plague of alien abductions that I didn't want, or 'hey, wouldn't it be cool if...'

I've just restarted again, and I've already had an accidental adoption for Dina and Mortimer (I have no idea how, they were trying to hire a maid but the Call...Service dialog box never even appeared, before the 'congratulations!  I'll be around tomorrow to drop off your kid' message came up) , he's a halfway decent looking kid but they're already expecting twins so I aged him up quickly and booted him off to college as a Grilled Cheese sim.  I've gotten sick of the Sim State University students so I've attached Academie Le Tour instead.  No Bluewater Village this time either, waste of space that that is.

I really, really, hate the pet obsession though.  You're only getting a pet if I decide to give you one!  Alright?!  No!  You can't have a pet! No kittens or puppies for you!  You can't even feed your kids!  Hell, you can't even feed yourself!  By the way, your husband is sleeping with the maid!  Maybe look at him every now and then, Mary Sue!

BFBVFS.

Crap.  There goes my fourth attempt at getting past the second generation of Pleasantview.

Truly?  Nobody else has had this problem?  Huh
84  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / The Case of the Disappearing Downtown on: 2006 November 20, 23:52:41
I have a strange situation.  The other day I wanted to send some sims to Bernard's Botanical Dining downtown.  Unfortunately that particular destination didn't appear.  I've used it before with no problems, so I couldn't figure out why it wasn't there.

So last night I sat down with my downtown, and my NL Prima Guide, and had a look to see what lots were there, and which ones weren't.  As a result, my downtown is looking very, very sad.

Missing Community Lots
Bernard's Botanical Dining
Deh'Javu Modern Art Museum
Fresh Rush Grocery
Go Here Sunshine Park
Gothier Green Lawns
Londoste
Lost in Love Hedge Maze
The Corner Shoppes

But that's not all!  I'm also missing a bunch of residential lots from downtown.

Missing Residential Lots
103 Custer Boulevard
105 Custer Boulevard
107 Custer Boulevard
34 King Street
36 Greaves Avenue
38 Greaves Avenue
House of Fallen Trees

Now luckily none of the missing lots had sims on them, but just to be safe I've moved four households out of downtown.

Has anyone else had this happen?  Any idea why this might be happening?  Is it a BFBVFS waiting to happen?  This only seems to have happened downtown; the base hood, uni, and bluewater seem to be ok so far.

For all I know this could have been going on pre-Pets, but its only post-Pets that I've actually noticed the problem (ie wanted to send sims to a lot that wasn't there - I don't often send sims downtown).

I'M CONFUSED!  WAAAAAAH!

87  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Pets go CRASH! on: 2006 November 14, 04:39:15
I figured (hoped it wasn't Tongue ) it could be a clothing thing, it just strikes me as odd that it only crashes either on start up or shut down.  Wouldn't it normally be one or the other? Huh
88  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Pets go CRASH! on: 2006 November 14, 02:01:50
I dunno what's going on - WAH.  This only started after I installed some hacks (1 Squinge any clothes as maternity, 1 Awesome engagement want fix, and the no censor blur - yes, I'm the last person on the planet to decide my sims have had enough privacy) and clothing and such on the weekend.  So of course I removed the hacks on the off chance something was conflicting, only for it still to 'horsie go crash!'* on me.

I try and load the game, it gets halfway through the loading screen, Customising Canine something or other, then BOOM.  "The application has crashed.  The application will terminate now" (or something, you know the one I mean), and then, not.  I can't get back to the desktop.  But it doesn't always happen there!  If I manage to load the game and play, when I do close it down, it crashes to, erm, a black screen.

Not much info I know, lemme know what might be needed.  I'm puzzled.

Yes, I am hungry and craving lambchops! Tongue

No, it is really quite simple. If you don't want to know, stop reading NOW.
*snipped by vecki*

The problem with that method is that, as you've noticed, Bella has no personality points so she's an absolute bitch to deal with.  Better by far to tweak her personality in SimPE (hey, if a SimPE moron like me can do it, anyone can) and remove the I am Dead token from her memories, then use a teleporter (say, Inge's shrub) to summon and move Bella in.  You want more detail?  Lemme see if I can find a post on it...
90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do YOU Pleasantview? on: 2006 November 10, 03:09:21
I haven't played Pleasantview for a while (and dammit, I'm now thinking about resetting again!) but from memory...

I quickly visited the Goth house to get Cassandra knocked up by Don (without a wedding? Gasp!).  How will her father react?!  Read on...

Don woohooed Nina, Kaylynn and then just as he was wooing Dina who should walk past but a pregnant Cassandra.  Don took it as an opportunity to break the engagement, threw her off the lot then, without missing a beat, got Dina into the hottub.  Vindictive vecki struck and he took a ride with ET later that night (I have a great sequence of shots where he farted on the telescope then promptly got abducted).  He now has an attractive teenage daughter, Juanita - she's a family sim (I just wanna breed those alien genetics).  The plus of Juanita being an alien is that she doesn't freak out at every new girlfriend Don has.

As soon as Cassandra began to show in her pregnancy, she and Mortimer began arguing about "morals" and such.  Morty disinherited Cassandra and booted her out on the street.  He then married Dina who had a set of cheesecake twins, Jason and Ulysses.  Will one of these boys displace the quiet (and decidedly gay) Alexander as the heir to the Goth Manor?  Does Alex even want to remain the heir or will he step aside of his own accord?  Who knows?  I sure as hell don't!?  The very night Morty died Dina went out on the town and met Mr. Big Damien Young.  Dina Goth quickly became Dina Young and still lives in the Goth Manor with her boys and Damien, and now has a toddler daughter Daphne Young.

Darren kindly took Cassandra into his house.  Dirk couldn't stand how lovey-dovey they are and was desperately dreaming of college.  After Cassandra's son by Don, Hector, was born, they threw a massive wedding party, even Morty came and was trying to reconcile with his daughter but sadly it was too little, too late for that.  Cass and Darren now have two sons and a daughter - David, Bella, and.... erm...

Brandi Broke now has 7 children, Dustin, Beau, Brady and Skip (cheesecake twins of the cloned pregnancy) by Skip, Beatrice by Don, and Bridget and Barbara (more cheesecake twins) by new husband John Burb.  It took some doing to get Brandi and John together but the fireworks at the Burb house were very entertaining (more on that later).  They've also adopted an imaginatively named dog, Tucker, just as much a doofus as the original Tucker from Unleased was.  A much larger dog, though (It was Tucker, right?)

Nina had an 'oops!  I hit try for baby instead of woo-hoo' Cheesy moment with Don, giving him his fourth child, Carlos, who, surprise surprise, is a romance sim.  Aside from Juanita, he's the only child of Don who has a decent relationship with his father.  This does lead to problems as Carlos does NOT approve of Nina whoring herself out for anything in pants (and a few in skirts too!).  Carlos will come to understand this in time... I hope, or I foresee many visits from the shrink for him.

Ah the Pleasants, Mary-Sue missed out on seeing Daniel and Kaylynn getting it on, though she didn't bat an eyelash at the pair of them eating hamburgers in their underwear (stupid woman) so I had Daniel be even stupider and kiss Kaylynn in front of MS.  The inevitable throw out scene ensued followed by some bitching between Lilith&Angela and Lilith&Mary-Sue leading to Lilith running away.  After a brief consideration of bringing her back I decided not to have MS call to report Lilith missing as I figured some time out on the streets, away from MS and Angela would do her good.  Didn't stop her from dropping round to visit Uncle John and Auntie Jennifer Burb every so often Undecided.  Angela kept seeing Dustin, MS suddenly fell for Komei Tellerman - and I was not expecting that AT ALL.  Herb and Coral Oldie moved in across the road from MS while the twins were at uni (all that time away from high school and Lilith managed to get into college?).  Herb died a day or so before the girls graduated (Lilith graduating with a 4.0 GPA while Angela could only manage 3.9 - hahaha take THAT!), and Lilith and Dirk moved in with Coral, Angela and Dustin in with Mary Sue and Komei.

Daniel moved in with Kaylynn and they have two kids, Kingston and Kayla.  Kaylynn however hasn't forgotten Don and oops! had cheesecake twins Keith and ... erm ... another K-named girl.  Daniel doesn't care, he's permaplat now that he's a hall of famer.  He doesn't even consider cheating on Kaylynn though. He's become a boring old man in his cardigans and dotes on his young children.

As for the Burbs, they were quite dull, they had a second child, Stacey, then when she was only a day or so from becoming a teen, John fell for Brandi Broke.  Hard.  His entire family caught him making out with Brandi and he was summarily thrown out.  Jennifer attacked Brandi but Brandi got the better of her.  Lucy never went to college (she didn't have a want for it or a fear of being uneducated - a real rarity so I didn't bother) but she still bawled uncontrolably after growing up in platinum about the missed opportunity to go to college.

And that's everybody!  I think... except

Currently at Sim State I have most of the premades (Ashley Pitts and Jane Stacks have both graduated), plus Alexander Goth and his paperboy boyfriend, Beau Broke is in the student bin.  Plus a few CAS students.

CRAP!  No wonder that took so long to put together!
91  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Regenerating Pets after Deleteallcharacters? on: 2006 November 06, 01:19:31
I started a new neighbourhood the other day to start a new LeGassey legacy - after breaking my vow that I wasn't going to buy Pests (no typo) until after exams.

I did my usual routine, generated the main hood and a uni hood, deleteallcharacters then generated Downtown.  I now have DocDoofus's facial template replacements so no more yucky townies, so I spawned the NPC and townie maker to create my townies (for some reason I had one townie teen but nobody else)

Now while, yay, I have no strays, I had a sim desperately pining for a kitten.  I decided to grant his wish and see if I could also have a kitty legacy running at the same time as a sim legacy.  But it seems you can't buy kittens in the pet store, and when I had him try calling the pet adoption centre, the game froze for about 10 minutes then crashed.  In the end I had him buy a male and female cat and eventually had them breed - only to get four kittens running around all the furniture which is still outdoors.  Brings to mind the first sim-birth I ever had in the game, bloody twins when I had no real idea how to play the game.

I'm guessing the game crashed because there weren't any adoptable pets courtesy of deleteallcharacters.  How do I get them to generate?  I had a look but couldn't find any option for it in amongst all the various testingcheats 'spawnables'.

Help?

I got the message, downloads are ready for your computer and I got the IE 7 in the critical downloads well I have it now and it keeps  deleting my cookies.

I have to log in to all my favorite sites over and over.

That can't be right.  I have IE 7 and after I've logged in to things once, I never have to log in again.  The only time I do have problems is when Evil Norton at home decides they are 'unwanted' cookies and promptly deletes them.  Lucky I don't have Norton at work  Wink
