26  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: TS3 Recompressor on: 2010 April 23, 12:44:33
I have a small question.  Does decrapifying saves include not-yet imported CAW worlds?
27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Only CAS Slider on: 2010 April 19, 08:57:01
I'm confused, I thought I read somewhere that awesomemod has this addition.  Am I wrong?

Edit: I just realized I misunderstood the question.  I thought it was referring to extended slider capacity.
28  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 April 17, 13:19:31
Does it matter if I have about half a tile submerged underwater? The visual effect seems negligible, plus it will appear that sims can wade their feet in.
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 April 15, 01:25:00
It's too bad about the water thing, because not only do I have to redo all those lots, but I also have to scrap my idea to make a pier.
30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 April 15, 01:08:39
Ok, what does the yellow mean?
31  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 April 14, 23:18:21
Deleting, and replacing them worked!  Thank you.  Here is an update on Avian Valley:

One thing to note about my neighborhood, is that most rabbit holes will have an accessible extension! (Usually, but not always a basement.)  For example the mausoleum will have a tomb underneath.  The diner, a WA style restaurant.  The bookstore, an actual WA bookstore underneath, etc.
32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 April 11, 23:01:58
Ok, so I tried placing some of the pre-made lots in edit in game mode, only to find at least one white box on each lot.  I figured it was something non problematic, so I placed one, but when I went to delete the box, it was labeled "Should not appear in game" and wouldn't let me delete it.  Needless to say, I quit without saving.  Also, now that I think about it, they only seemed to appear in front of staircases.

Does anyone have any idea what these boxes are?
33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How...does the game spawn NPCs? on: 2010 April 11, 21:54:26
What does the Magician actually do?  I don't think I've ever seen one in the game.
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 April 10, 20:41:20
I'm finding that 'edit in game' is running very slow. To the point it took me about 7 minutes to place a couple of tables and chairs in the non-rabbithole portion of my diner.  I haven't used CAW in a while, and am just getting back to creating Avian Valley, but I don't remember it being so slow before the patch.
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: EA store stuff in *.dbc format - a torrent on: 2010 February 18, 20:49:09

Which dbc file is for Collectionne Stäncké??

Can't find it here  Sad

http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/30394031/5635f3af/Sims3DBC.html?&

Pls help. My favorite set.

I'm pretty sure it's the Modern Minimalist set, but don't blame me if it isn't.

I'm still trying to figure out what some of the sets are, such as "AnoeskaB, and "Dot".

What language is that?  Are you even spelling it correctly?  You are confusing my translator program!

Sadly that is the actual name of the set on the US site, and I am pretty sure EA made it up, although I could be wrong.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How do I delete .Sims3pack files completely? on: 2010 February 17, 00:37:48
Thank you, that is quite helpful.

Are you going to delete the thread again?

Yeah, sorry about that, I just got a little nervous that I overlooked something while searching for the answers. I'm still not sure that I didn't overlook something, but I figured the reward was worth the risk.

Edit: Wait, upon re-reading your post, I am a little confused. You know I'm talking about getting rid of the free store items, installed via launcher right? The ones from EAxis? (I got them before I started to bypass the launcher.)
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / How do I delete .Sims3pack files completely? on: 2010 February 16, 22:17:43
I have some free downloads from the store, and I want to get rid of them, so I can use the .dbc sets for Store Content without duplicates. No matter how much I search I can't find the answer to these two questions.

First of all, how do I get rid of the store content completely. I know deleting them using the dreaded launcher (which I no longer use,) does not delete the files completely.

Secondly, will I have to replace in game instances of the store objects I have used, or will the objects remain what they are supposed to be? (Will the old town fan still be the old town fan after replacing the files.)
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 February 13, 19:02:02
Thank you, that's a relief.

By the way, here is my town I'm working on, Avian Valley:

39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 February 13, 13:37:26
I'm finding Riverview rabbit holes don't show up in CAW after being placed on a lot.

I just want to know if this is normal.

40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Delete All Characters booboo redux on: 2010 January 08, 22:41:19
So...how badly did I screw things up? Needless to say, I don't have a backup.

Always backup your game files! This can be simply copying your downloads and used neighborhoods to your desktop, external hard drive. Or, if you want the extra security of a solid-state drive, do what I do and use a flash-drive to store your backed up sims files.

I want to emphasize that a flash drive is probably the safest way to store valuable data, because disks break easily, while a solid state drive is basically a very durable piece of RAM.

But whatever you do, simply keep a backup somewhere, because you will have BFBVFS eventually, and keeping a backup is the last defense we have against it.
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pudding Pups to pee and dig holes in your Play d'Eau 'hoods? on: 2009 December 12, 22:52:35
Pets is just too much work, you have to create the skeletons, meshes and animations for then besides also the new socials and that crap that just takes a lot of time, why you think in TS2 Pets was the 4th expansion despite the base game already showing they were working on it?

This is where you are wrong. They recycled most animations for TS3 basegame, and will most likely do the same for pudding pets.

With that said, I highly suspect it was just a typo on the object's description. EA isn't exactly known for their competence in literacy (General Practioner anyone?)
42  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA outside lighting issue on: 2009 November 27, 15:59:21
@ Pescado - I call your MOAR bloom and raise you for MOAR lensflare.
The obsession with "lensflare" is a sign of the institutional obsession with blindness. Maybe if more people weren't blind, four-eyed freaks, they wouldn't keep encountering lensflare when looking at EVERYTHING.
Now, if only we could tell that to the people who made the most recent Star Trek movie...

Seriously, whoever started this obsession needs their eyes checked.
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 November 27, 15:39:03
Have you ever considered that this is not a good way to have money, and maybe you should stop doing it?

^_~ So what's *is* the "Good" way to have money then?  Money is created to be used, spent, discarded, payed-up and "Thrown" about. If this were not the case, then we wouldnt have to work so bloody hard for it. Even money saved-up does you no-good unless it is going to be "Thrown" somewhere. So pfft... gimme my stuff pack ^_^

You sound like a damn capitalist!

While I agree with your point that money is only as good as what you buy with it, if you knew anything about taxes, or bills, of any other necessary payments, you probably wouldn't feel this way! Also going by that logic, you shouldn't buy the stuff EA throws at you, because it is not worth as much as say a grocery bag with the same cost (even if that doesn't buy much.)

My guesses are you are either:

A. So rich you have never worked a day in your life, or

B. you are a 12, in which you should kindly get out!

Point is, the good way to have money is not to give it to greedy companies, that spit on the community with everything they do.

Also, it's wouldn't not "wouldnt". Punctuation is your friend.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Problem With Save Games and the New Patch on: 2009 November 18, 23:11:36
I can verify that this does work. Just tried it myself, and it not only saved fine, but just as you described there is a new backup folder. Thank you.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 1.5/1.6 Patch warning! on: 2009 November 17, 15:24:23
Just a couple hacks:

-NoBuildSparklies (Seems to work fine.)

-LifeFruitGives3Days (Haven't checked yet.)

-floorthickness (Works perfectly fine)

-2xeating (Haven't experienced problems yet.)

-random_baby_gender_jonha (Also haven't checked yet.)

I did remove all these prior to patching, but have added them back, and am testing them for any abnormalities.

Luckily I have met none as of yet, and had only noticed a slow down the first time I used the basement tool. After that it went back to normal speed, despite me opening the tool again afterwords.
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 1.5/1.6 Patch warning! on: 2009 November 17, 14:56:30
I'm not quite understanding this post.  You are saying that it does not work with the base game, but are not providing any proof except one person's report they made because they didn't take out their mods before patching. Is this some kind of joke I'm not catching?

Oh well. I am pleased to report that my game works fine after patching, although I haven't done much, and certainly haven't saved due to the lack of Awesome Mod at the moment.
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Adoption? on: 2009 October 20, 20:11:23
Sorry, I forgot to finish that sentence.

Also, I am not using face templates for many reasons. One of which is that I like wacky townies to mess with, just not my playables.

Edit: Forget it. I will just get a sim taken away via social worker.
48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Adoption? on: 2009 October 20, 19:59:58
I have two lesbian sims who want a kid.  I have tried to avoid the adoption services, because I didn't want to adopt some mutant Goopy GilsCarbo clone.

Should I, or should I not adopt without first adding a sim to trump the adoption queue?

If I have to, I will make a family, have them lose the baby, and then kill them.

What I guess I'm asking is, what are your experiences with game generated adopted children.

For that price, the bathroom should have wallpaper!
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 was to include weather. on: 2009 August 31, 12:31:58
That was different though. It was cut for problems with interior rooms getting rained on.

In 3 there is no way anything could keep them from implementing these features from 2.
