TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Missing textures or Something

Got purple words in CAS instead of hair. I remember this appearing before in a thread somewhere, but I can't find it.
It says the texture name in purple and pink, and it's got a white background.
I have all EPs up to FT, no SPs.

TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Challenge Challenge!

Multiple spawn normally do have a penalty, HOWEVER, each alien baby is worth +5 points, as they are "cool". Also, the challenge ends when the heir "graduates from high school", which I took to mean when he or she reaches adulthood. Teens can be vampires, and thus immortal, so you would eventually just have a crapload of alien vampires. Since Hec did not ban household enlarging mods, it is certainly legal.
I'm afraid kutto has won this round.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Base Sims 2 Won't Even Install
|

So, here's the deal. Newly formatted hard drive, with plenty of drive space, refuses to install TS2 Base.
I've heard it's my OS, which is now going, after restoring it back to XP from Vista.
It'll install up to 23%, but when I'm prompted to put the second disc in and do so, it just never starts up again. The file it's copying is control1.dat, if that matters.

I'm still livid with the fact that they won't throw the Dev Team under the bus for fucking up so badly. Seriously! They're paid to to heir jobs. If they can't do their job (develop a game with most major bugs removed), then they should be sacked and EA should start anew.

I found out yesterday that it doesn't always delete actual orphans. After removing "orphans" from my downloads folder, I had a bunch of missing meshes in game when I opened it up - which returned when I put the "orphans" back in with my downloads. All my content is arranged in sub folders (clothing, makeup, hair, etc. so I know it's not because of orphans being in the wrong folders).
Did you RTFM? Had you RTFM, you'd have know that it only detects orphans if the meshes and textures are in the same folder or a folder beneath it.
