The military convo has a nuke, a nukemobile, and pie.
The religious convo has an eye, an eyemobile, and pie.
The economic convo has moneybags, a moneymobile, and pie.

And the pie rocks.

Terra Scores do not decrease unless you overuse a terraforming tool. They normally stay where you put them, assuming that you first terraform it with the tools, then stabilize the results with the insertion of plants and animals....something you have to do in order for the terraforming to be of any USE!

When I place a colony  on a new planet and go to build/add buldings, houses or whatever it says the Terra Scroe is to low and the buttons are disabled I have tried placing animals and plants and the dam animals die within a few seconds(lol) so am I missing something?
I know your suppose to try and get the little dot-thing to the center by useing the tools, lower atmospher or raise the tempature but it NEVER works for me and never goes in the center so what are you suupose to do to make it "perfect"

First off, you're retarded.  Second off, follow the fucking food web.
28  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Symbols and Markings on: 2008 September 20, 04:16:31
So, Spore is rife with various symbols and markings to designate various things.  Mostly with planets and their types.  I'm having trouble figuring a single symbol out.  It's a planetary symbol that looks like a maple leaf or something.  There's a paw for creature stage, a campfire for tribal, a UN-esque symbol for civ, and a rocket for Space.  I assume it means cell, but then again, why designate that if you can't interact with cell-level creatures?

Also, this really didn't fit in anywhere else and this is a shiny new forum.

Feh.  You have at least 2,000 stars in the EAxian Way galaxy.  That should tithe one over until we create our own universe with the LHC.
30  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Easter Eggs on: 2008 September 20, 04:03:22
I'll bet Steve was sent out thousands of years ago in game so that we get to the center to find that the race that sent it out no longer exists.
31  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Oh DUDE on: 2008 September 19, 03:40:54
I don't know, have you seen how many stars are out there? You have entire arms with only one or two, there's still plenty of room.

That said, I have a feeling the first expansion will enable you to play other galaxies. Just a hunch. (I seem to be expanding at a rate of one a day also, though I've been slowing down since I had one reach the core.)

As notovny said earlier, people wopuld pretty much go "What, you can play in other galaxies too?  How is that different?"  Truly, that's pretty much hit it on the head.  Galaxies are galaxies.

Although, maybe they'd add rare galaxy formations like quasars!
32  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: You can't exterminate siblings. on: 2008 September 19, 03:24:56
Spode people will always attack.  The diplomats are annoying.  The creatures of the light need to STFU.  The Force people are able to be bought.
33  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 14, 06:29:27
On Normal I always get stuck next to the people who attack me because I don't believe in Sporn or whatever.  I tried to escape into a galaxy long ago and far away, but then the fuckers followed me.  Dunno how, I was hundreds of pcs away from them.  Their name?  The Troggs.  Tongue

I love the music.  It are win.

Get a log.
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Non-working SecuROM Uninstaller? on: 2008 September 07, 02:09:10
Why do I suspect that the SecuROM uninstall would either break stuff or do nothing at all?  Also, who gives out an uninstalled to copy protection?  Sony FTL.
36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Offspring personality points on: 2008 September 01, 06:22:05
Wunderkind.

Hmmm.... is that a comment, or an answer?  I could read that to mean "The idea of a superior child amuses me", or I could read it to mean "The game was just weird at that particular moment, do not expect to see this again".

If it was the latter... I've seen high-point-total children many many times, but it definitely doesn't always happen, and rarely happens with a first child (for me).

It's what the Prime Guide for the basegame calls them.  Stuff like that happens.

When you extract them, they come out as .xa files.  Programs such as Xantippe convert them to MP3.

Wunderkind.
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Gameplay: How do YOU keep track of sim lifes? on: 2008 August 28, 18:43:03
Hmmm.  I think I will have to talk to jfade about reading sim character files.
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 August 28, 18:36:51
Hey, I imagine that pregnancies and agings will have the tenants pooling outside of your, unable to break in.  Am I right?

She was the new gay forever ago.  She's really more of the old new gay, now.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 August 27, 17:15:17
Jfade feels that AL is offensive to wiccans.
43  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) (work in progress) on: 2008 August 20, 21:45:39
Hey, Inge, I think I might take the character file reader idea farther.  How is the character file data structured?
44  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) (work in progress) on: 2008 August 14, 22:30:53
That is partially why I suggested you talk to jfade.  Smiley
45  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) (work in progress) on: 2008 August 14, 22:01:37
Yep, they changed it.  But anyway, the fields probably stay the same for each sim.  The easiest way I found to figure out what CSV fields meant was just exporting the sim data to CSV and reading it, applying what I knew to what it said.  It'd probably involve you running back and forth between the game and excel to figure it out, but it's certainly plausible.

Also, to make the program compatible for others without EPs, you could have them check a box for which EPs they have and then have it search for those fields which were added with certain EPs, specifically.

You might want to talk to jfade about this, too.  He's currently away, but he knows all sorts of stuff about how to handle TS2 files.
46  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) (work in progress) on: 2008 August 14, 21:50:47
What are you writing SimSheet in, rufio?  Last I checked, CSV does give the data a "tag" which should allow your program to search and find it.  It shouldn't be too hard to write a CSV-searching method and then use it to import the CSV's usable data.  Then again, it was a long time since I've looked at the CSV sheet and I may be talking through my ass.

ETA: I've actually been thinking a lot about this, too.  What if one were to write a program that reads the character files and updates automatically, instead of you feeding it CSV files?  It'd only be a matter of decoding the character files, but if SimPE can do it, then so can you.  Naturally, you'd want to keep the character files read-only (or would you?) and only display the new data.  It'd probably be not too hard to have it automatically find important data, too.  Searching for changes, and what not.
47  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Some Sort of CAS Error on: 2008 July 31, 06:13:02
Well, it's probably a Uni or BV hack I didn't properly filter from the DC.
48  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Some Sort of CAS Error on: 2008 July 31, 05:40:05
This error happened when I loaded up CAS and tried to make a sim.  I hit reset and then it popped back up, then then hitting reset would constantly spawn it.  So then, I hit delete, and CAS dies.

Running p3 FT, Pets, Seasons, OFB, NL.

ETA: Currently determined that it is some awesomeware that is erroring.  Check this space to find out which!
49  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Shit hits the fan on: 2008 April 01, 03:33:16
Hmm.

I have all EPs, no SPs.  My game IS compatible with all specs, 100% sure.  I think I will just reinstall.

Thanks, y'all.

So, I've got an Armageddon going on in my game.  It's all happening at once.

So, first, I tried to add a college to my game.  Crash.
Deleted that neighborhood, added new one, tried to add a college.  Crash.
It only crashes when it says "Loading [Collegename]."  WTF is up?

So, decided to ignore the colleges.  Loaded up CAS.  Missing textures about.  Tried to make a more than one sim family resulted in a crash.

All crashes created a message that says, "The application has crashed and will now terminate."  I don't know what's wrong.  I just want to play sims.  Undecided

Removing hacks does NOT help.
