26  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Old bug is back with puppies on: 2006 November 04, 17:48:10
Didn't know if any geniuses were working on this but remember the old baby abduction?  Well now it's happening with puppies.  NPCs and visitors don't put the puppies or kittens down after snuggling and leave the lots with them. 

Edit:  And also just puppy or kitten just dissapears and/or is removed from lot.  As is the case in my latest lot.  Puppy just removed (dissapeared). 

Anyone else having this problem and if so what is the work-around?

What is a Wiggy door?  As in "Check for wiggy doors added."?  I'm hoping that's a check for the object to see if it is behind a woman's door or a man's door for the bathroom in community or dorm lots.

Just noticed the new version here.  I ususally just check the URL http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/ofb/hacks/ where I usually just look for dates to see what you have updated like the MissingManagerFix which I downloaded earlier today because it has a new date on it.  Let me try the autoyak I just downoaded here for Post Pets. 

Edit:  Thanks Pescado, yes it works with the cell phone.  Sorry about the drama.  (It's a Queen thing.)

Yes there are applicable choices.  Example one relationship is tagged friends with an STR of 55.  There are others for this particular sim which he could make enemies.  Family should not be an option and therefore isn't displayed.

Sorry, I should have explained better.  The pie menu for Autoyak is not showing for cell or phones.  IE. no friends, family, or target menu.  And the date on the last modified is june 6, 2006.  Downloaded it again from the http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/ofb/hacks/ webpage.

This has been going on for some time now and finally decided to type about it.  Strange things with autosocialize, playable sims getting stuck on topics the other sim doesn't want to talk about for example.  This mostly occurs when playable sim has been told to socialize - friendly on a townie or visiting playable sim with nuetral or unactracted attraction.  Playable sim gets stuck on topic that the other sim doesn't want to talk about.  Then once friends has occured the "friendly hug" happens too soon and there went 10 points worth of yaking down the tubes. 

When there is at least one lightining bolt or more the mod works flawlessly, instant 100 point friends (almost instant), very Awesome.

FYI have all Expansion packs installed including holiday, FFS, and Glamour.  Yes Maxis bit me pretty well.

Hey,

Just bought this 7 in 1 package for The Sims.  Figured it would be great to run on an old laptop since it doesn't need much power to run.  If my memory is correct the highest resolution for The Sims was 1024x768.  And since I never played any of the EPs for The Sims, I figured, what the hec. 

Anyways are there still The sims mods around and anyone mind telling me where the best ones are?  Starting with getting rid of that blur please.  Location of sexy mods appreciated as well.

True, true.  Well the only sims with a serious comfort problem are the lazy ones.  Crafting benches and working out to get that next body skill point just zaps their comfort zone.  Now the sim wants to autonomously take a bath for comfort then the BUY grabs them and they end up in the shower.  Just a thought but maybe scan the lot for a hot tub which also takes care of both hygiene and comfort more especially comfort, this could be used with the skillinator also, maybe?

Just wanted to let you know that the scores for my sims to get nude isn't as high as they were before puting robots on their lots.  On this particular lot there are 2 sims, 2 servos, 1 robot vacuum, and 2 hydrobots.  Let me note that on this lot everyone is in love with each other (using global no jealousy mod)  Now I noticed that the servos when making a meal set out enough plates for 7 people to eat before stopping serving.  Are these other bots being recognised as sims in your nudist mod?  Therefore leading to lower scores because of more sims on the lot?  To work around this problem, changed the "sims on lot" penalty to zero and lowered the threshold to 600. 

The Maxis virgo's score would go over 1000 when all sims asleep on the lot and only at that time.  Now after the robots are placed on the lot the score at night with all sims asleep only goes up to 720 with the maxis virgo.  The mod conflict tools isn't showing any conflicts with your mod so maybe just these robots are being seen as sims maybe?

Speaking of bathtubs in the bathrooms and also considering the combined bathtub/shower units just wondering if you were going to update the BUY to tell sims to use the bathtub instead of the shower when comfort falls below a certain level and it is at night?  Because baths take longer than showers, not good to do before work.

Hello,

Big question.  What needs to be done to make a plugin to place in the downloads folder to overide an NPC Template?

Guess I need to put in more info.  Okay go into SimPE then open the Object workshop, click on the plus sign next to Other in the bottom left window and one will see the heading called Persons.  Under this there is both Persons and maybe Templates.  in these headings are all the NPC templates  Diva, Gypsy, Crumplebottom, etc.  This is what needs to be changed then clothing and etc. linked to this template.  This I believe is the key to controlling how the generator makes NPCs but I can't get any confirmation from modders at this time.  I don't want to mess with the BHAV files only clothing, gender, skintones, simple stuff like this. 

So I'm bored until the next EP.  And found something to play with.  No one apparently has played in this area before so guess I'm a pioneer in this area so all help would be appreciated.

I have this exact issure and here is my work-around.  DO NOT build a cemetery until there is a need to have a cemetery in other words you have a tombstone to move to the cemetery.  My cemeteries are pre-built so while in neighborgood view I place the cemetery then enter the lot where I need to move the grave.  Move the grave, exit while saving the lot then enter the cemetery commnunity lot in build mode and usually the tombstone is there or this has always worked for me.  Just basically don't build that cemetery early, the game places sims on the lot apperently or writes something to it and then you never see tombstones in build mode at the cemetery.

The latest version of Microtastics fixed all the problems in my business lot everytihing works great, so well in fact that I don't need a mod to reduce the energy consumption when dazzle is used.

Pescado you're a genius,

Yes that was the main problem I had an old version of Macrotastics.  Now the lot runs much better and I'm making money without my forehead sweating.  And the cashier works and the "Hammer and Sickle" interface works as it is supposed.  Also I can take over my manager. 

I did notice to get control of my manager I need to click on the "Hammer and Sickle" and unassign the manager from any duties then make the manager active and this time when I clicked on the "Be salesperson" icon in the upper left it stays gone until I want it back.
