TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "get rid of food wants" hack wanted

Ah, well you could look at it this way: If it weren't for modders making free objects, users would start demanding Maxis released more object packs - which would obviously cost money. So our time *translates* into money for the users

Sherbetsmoothy, you have posted this request in multiple places at the same time. If each of the hackers you have requested it from start work on it not knowing other hackers are also working on it, you will have caused the Sims community to have some valuable time wasted. In order to do my bit at preventing this waste of time, I have banned you from making requests at simlogical in the future. Please read all posting rules on forums you visit.
It is good practice and good manners to see if the first person you make the request from will be able to do it or not before asking the next person.

Well it seems I still have the caution pitched wrong It just is trying to say that if you move a child into the family you are playing, he won't still be in the other family, so you need to think of the effect it would have on the other family, if for some reason you would have wanted to still play them like they were. Or - what happens if you move out all of a family to other families, then the house is sitting there empty and no one can get the money from it.

I'm not saying your conclusion was necessarily wrong, but I'm not sure of your motives in trying to make sure everyone else knew about it? Wouldn't it have been good style, and better for the community, to simply go about setting up your new (and very nice) site in dignified peace?

Trouble is, a thread like this is occasionally going to overexcite the more unstable personality. They start wanting to do daring feats in support of the "side" they've taken.
I would just like to point out - and I have to risk this looking like I am taking sides - that at VS there is no statement naming Pescado as the person who is suspected of trying to hack the system. If people have drawn that conclusion it is far more likely to be as a result of reading *this* thread on MATY than anything they might have read at VS.
As far as I am aware there was initially no attempt to block threads pointing people to this new site. If any threads were closed or deleted over there it was more likely to be because after reading *this* thread, the less mature people went over there and used those threads to make unpleasant comments in. Links to this site remain on VS in places AFAIAA, with the full knowledge and blessing of Rentechd.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: That Chair is for Computer Users!!!

I find the whole thing of sitting at random chairs to eat irritating. It used to be irritating in Sims 1 where they couldn't eat at all unless there was a dining table, but they still do that silly musical chairs thing where if you tell them to eat a meal at the table they are already sitting at they have to stand up and find another chair to do it at.

Once again I should not have said anything. as I was just pointing out the fact that sure Inge can make an apology for one thing, but yet set themself up for yet something else that would needs an apology. Well you'll have to sing for that I'm afraid. People are always referring to me as "he" or spelling my name wrong or something, and as far as I am concerned as long as it's clear what and who they mean it's all a perfectly functional use of language. If you have a fragile gender identity and it can be damaged by someone getting a pronoun wrong, then you have to find a way to sort that out.

Ah so I was right. I said after you left that you were probably just trying to get banned so you could come over here and complain about it There wasn't any other logical reason for the way you were carrying on. And I mean let's face it, being deliberately unpleasant and rude to chatroom moderators does often result in some sort of exclusion, it's not rocket science.

The teleporter plus has the ability to move a family member out to become a townie, and to put a child up for adoption. To adopt a child *into* the current family, you summon them onto the lot (normal teleport mode), then move them into the house (they become a resident but not a relative) then adopt them as a family member if you wish. They don't lose the memory of their real parents.
If you just move them into the orphanage, they will still be part of the birth parents' family tree, but living elsewhere. If you are ready to give them a new family, then I advise putting the child up for adoption from the orphanage, and then adopting through social services in the normal way.
Just a warning - when you first adopt a child with the teleporter, they may not show in the family relationships panel for a while. They will appear in the panel of each family member at the time of their first interaction with them. The family tree may be built properly when you save and reenter the lot - ie it's a display update quirk rather than anything else.

I presume Simpe has some things you can do like change their family number to 0. Then they will be in the holding family with the dead people and the game won't use them for anything.
Or if you want to do it in game, start a childrens' home by making a carer adult sim and moving them into a lot. Use the teleporter plus (or one of the debug cheats) to move the unwanted kids into that lot, and just leave them there unplayed. But of course that way you might see them on community lots and things like that. Don't give them a phone or you will get calls from them.

There's nothing abnormal in expecting people registering to post on a forum to have registered with valid email addresses? Most forums require it. MTS2 certainly do. I mean it's not like you need to register at all if you only want to read or download.
If you don't want to give your real email address, then don't. It just means you can't post messages. Is that really such a loss? You still get access to the downloads.
I really cannot believe this thread is still churning on and on. Anyone would think you have to choose your favorite forum and only use files from that one site, all the debate going on over it.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No Autonomous SSX3 hack
|

The hack at my site, simlogical.com, is a global hack that will make all SSX playing non-autonomous for any computer, apart from if you happen to have a hacked computer where the creator put all the code into the object instead of using the shared code in the semiglobals.
