Stupid question: If I use the empty templates + noregen hacks, will I get the "necessary" amount of social groupies? I'm guessing the game needs a few of those or the apartments won't work properly.

And what about witches? Will the game generate them even with the empty templates and all hacks a simmer can have? I don't want them in my game, I hate all the supernatural stuff.

Or if you don't want to go through all that trouble you can just rename your TS2 folder in "My Documents"... I rename mine "xxxThe Sims 2" and let the game generate a new one. You get a fresh start without having to create new accounts or re-install the game.

Well that is just f**ed up! Why on earth do they let this happen with every damn EP? And by them I mean EAxis. You'd think they'd check their codes or whatever after the whole tourguide hassle with BV.

Sorry to bring up this old-ish post but I'm having a bit of a problem. I started a new hood and started making townies, tourists and locals. I created a bunch of sims in CAS and started converting them. When making them into tourists I noticed something weird. When I click "Make Vacation Sim/Tourist/... on the NPC creator (the gun) all the names are there 10 times. I mean there's 10 pollinations, 10 witches etc. And 10 Teds, 10 Maceys and whatever names my CAS sims have. I exited the lot because I wasn't sure if it would work just to click on one of the options. I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain, my brain doesn't translate words into english very well at this time of day (1:00am here).

I installed the fix by Argon into a sub-folder inside my DL folder. Should it be directly in the DL folder? Or am I doing something wrong? Or is my game - once again - going completely bonkers?

Thank you for this tutorial, I hate seeing those butt-ugly BV characters in my game. I have a question about the locals though. Will the game generate the firedancer in Twikkii island or do I have to create him somehow? Is he an NPC or a townie/local?

This isn't intended to stop greetings spreading in the home hood.  It just restricts locals to appropriate greetings in vacation hoods, but your own sims can do whichever greetings they please.

Is there a hack that prevents them to do the greetings at home? For some reason I find chest pounding quite inapproriate during the mayor's fancy formal party.

Ok, did I understand this correctly? The V001_Neighborhood.zip will give us the locals and hotel NPC's etc but no fugly tourists? The Vacation_Clean.zip will remove all BV NPC's, including locals and tourists? Just wanna make sure before I go installing anything.

First of all I want to thank Jordi for this tutorial and SaraMK for the empty templates. You rock! I created my first custom hood after Pets and it was a success. No ugly townies or dormies, no annoying strays etc.

I have a Seasons related question. SimPE hasn't been updated for Seasons yet and according to some people you shouldn't fiddle with the memories and relationships with an outdated version of SimPE. So how can I create new townies if I can't wipe their memories and relationships in SimPE? I was thinking that I'll create all townies one by one in CAS. That way they would only have the memory of moving to the lot (before I turn them into a townie with the shrub) and no relationships. Would this mess up my game? I don't feel like waiting for a SimPE update before creating a new hood since there's no sign of it yet.

Can I try to install the OFB patch again even though I've installed EP's and SP's after OFB? I've tried taking out some of my hacks but I'm definitely gonna give up Pescado's hacks because I don't want my hood populated by fugly townies.

The business owners can "set uniform" for themselves and the employees without any problems. But when they actually change into those uniforms, their face changes. Skintone, eye color and hairstyle stay the same but the facial structure changes so I have a shop full of employees that all look the same. I've had this problem before so it's not new with Seasons.

I have a stupido question. Do I have to install the empty Seasons template before firing up the game for the first time. I was thinking that I'll use the new hood as a testing area before I actually make my own sims suffer from freezing or burning. Will the game generate the fugly townies into my custom hood even if I don't play it before installing the empty template?

Does the Teleporter Shrub still work with Seasons? I'll hopefully get my copy today and I'm going through my hacks weeding out all incompatible ones.

Same thing happened to me. I renamed the template folders for UNI and NL but when I created the sub-hoods... a whole bunch of characters! I tried downloading the empty templates but it says the file cannot be found or something Sad

I have an unawesome question about universities. If I do everything that's said in this tutorial and also have installed the "no dormie respawn" hack, does it mean my dorms will be half-empty with only the playable students living there? Or can I make custom YA townies and have them fill up the vacancies somehow?

Thanks for this tutorial, I'm so sick of the butt-ugly townies!
