I made sure that personality affinity did not get in the way of my tedious and careful testing... I used the puppy killer to set their zodiac without affecting their personality, and gave them all the same personality so that I had something to work with.. I couldn't very well see if something had a profound negative effect without having something there to be subtracted from. I set their aspirations to "Grow Up" with testingcheats while testing zodiac attraction, since that is completely untouched by aspirational attraction for obvious reasons.

That's not surprising to me actually. I mean, my brothers have had girls falling over eachother to get at them since they were in kindergarten. I imagine (and only imagine, mind you) that if we weren't related I'd be one of them. I've got a lot of good-looking cousins too. It doesn't affect me though because I don't notice, if only because I'm simply not supposed to notice.
Well, it's perfectly normal to notice that one's family member is attractive, or for straight people to notice people of the same sex are attractive, and gays to notice people of the opposite sex are attractive... It doesn't mean anything, it's just an observation... But I still find it quirky when their siblings turn out to be in the top three.

FMs are good at answering the "Should I put this in my game or not?" question. I really don't like having too much CC in my game. Thinking of which, how do I make it so that the hacked objects I have only appear in the catalog where I want them? Edit: Also, since I don't wanna spam the board with another thread, I was wondering if anyone's made a hack that allows teens to be attracted to adults and possibly vice versa. I don't want them to be able to act on their attraction, but it would be nice because then I could see which adults my teens are attracted to before they become an adult or young adult themselves, and because it's realistic. * Avalikia gets "Stacy's Mom" stuck in her head yet again. In the "call sim..." window, you can sort the names in various ways, including by chemistry. I've seen sims of all ages and even family members near the top of this list... So if it's just out of curiosity, you can check that way. It's freaky when you have a sim whose sibling is like... third on the list though.

Oh, that's a shame what happened to beosboxboy (sp?)... I understand some of the concern with proper credit to creators.. Overall though, I believe that, as long as they're not selling your stuff without consent, it's better not to get involved.. As someone who draws, and used to post art online regularly, I was familiar with theft.. It got to me at first, but then I learned to take it as more of a compliment... My stuff is worth stealing! That doesn't make it right, but I knew if it ever came down to it, I could prove my status as the original creator.. That knowledge gave me a relaxed status concerning re-distribution. The most I do for my sims stuff is slap my initials into the tooltip, and let that be the end of it. My Laverwinkle Alien replacement doesn't have even that, of course, but it's not a big deal.. If people take it, then they do.. If someone points a finger at them for stealing, then they will.. But I assure you it will not be my finger, as I have better things to do, so long as they're not trying to make money off of it.. Which I doubt.. If they wanted to make money off of someone else's work, they'd choose someone with more talent to steal from. Edit: Oh duh, right, I also put either DTK or DylanTK in my filenames... So that would actually be the extent of my self-credit, and tool-tip if applicable.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Tired of searching for the answer... Help?

Okay, I'm a huge believer in using one's resources before choosing to bother someone else, but I keep hitting a wall.. I'm certain I've seen this information somewhere, and I'm kicking myself for not making a note of it the first time. I've been putting in any keyword I can think of into the search engine, and still nothing seems to be what I'm looking for... I don't know where I went wrong! Which program does Pescado and Jeff use to "autoscan"? I've been carefully and selectively using non-awesome-hacks recently, without any troubles mind you... But I want to be prepared for the next expansion pack, in case those non-awesome people are not quick to scan their hacks and make a compatibility list for users. Thanks in advance to the kind soul who chooses to help me... *bows out*

Atavera's toddler sleep mat at modthesims... That will solve all your problems... Though, I strongly suggest you play with testingcheats on, as it becomes unuseable on occasion and needs a good 'force error' to sort it out.. My toddlers no longer wear PJs... EVER! Huzzah! Actually, I should see if it's been updated... The creator may have sorted out it's issues by now.

I've recently decided to give this hack a go, but when I did a hack conflict scan, this popped up:
*** POSSIBLE CONFLICT DETECTED *** File Type: BHAV Procedure Name: Function - Awareness - Private - TEST Group ID: 0x7FA4D046 Instance ID: 0x00001001 Packages Containing This Procedure: \downloads\Hacks&Misc\CrammyBoy\CBOY_nudist_naked_emitter.package \downloads\Hacks&Misc\JMPescado\noshockforoutgoing.package
Is this anything to be concerned about?

Thank goodness the death of innocent kittens only applies to the Inteenimator! I now have the Insimenator, which I never would have imagined downloading before now.. I was desperate! Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond, I appreciate it.
The Insimenator kills puppies, you sick bastard. Good thing I've never been much of a dog-person.

Yeah, I found that one on my own before posting.. It's not compatible with Nightlife anyway. Maybe TwoJeffs could be persuaded to do one... Eh.. But I hate sounding needy and making requests.. My big problem is community lots. What with the "on date" jealousy that causes other sims to telepathically know that two sims are on a date regardless of what they're doing, and all the autonomous townie flirtation which has rendered a lot of my townies unavailable (or at the very least not particularly convenient to date).. Not to mention, uncommited sims should be allowed to date without getting their heads bitten off. *fumes*

I think the title pretty much covers it. I want an adjuster that turns jealousy on or off for each lot individually according to tastes... Unfortunately, Casual Romance only tweaks the casual interactions (right?), so don't bother recommending it . Most importantly, I want it from a reputable hacker, not a one-hit-wonder sort of bloke.

The kid should be there next time you load the lot, actually.. Look near the mailbox. If not, download the teleporter shrub from simlogical.com, install it, go into your neighborhood and enter boolprop testingcheatsenabled true , enter the house, use the teleporter to bring him back, then Shift+Click on him and choose make selectable.

Oh yeah.. Green pimples.. I never really considered it that necessary.. But if you want, I'm sure I could whip something up. Personally, I think it's funny that they have bright green zits.. They are aliens after all.

*mouth twitch* Well... Let's just say that Giovanni died from an illness at a very young age, or that he was kidnapped (simnapped?). I think I'm going to make a painting recolor, and put a portrait of him in the game.. This is the very first sim I have ever truly lost, so it's pretty jarring... They had another boy, who I decided to name Lucas. I used Inge's cake to grow him into a toddler just to sneak a peek at what was to come. Sure, he's cute.. But nothing like Giovanni. Well.. *sigh* She does have a '10 babies' want, and it's a new and largely unpopulated neighborhood. Maybe I'll just recreate Giovanni the absolute best I can and have them adopt him. I do recall his personality was quite similar to that of his oldest sister's, so that should make things go a little more smoothly in the re-creation process. I know what you mean about not wanting to play after the game has taken a huge dump on you, pointed, and laughed. I don't know if I'll be able to play them for the time being. Too depressing.

Oh my GOD (that I don't even believe in). I don't know whether to cry, yell, slap myself, or all three... I just have to get this off my chest. So, I started playing my Sims game after a pretty substantial hiatus. I was getting really into it, playing my Fawn family.. I let them get pregnant with their third baby, so on and so forth. The baby was born, yada-yada, and then he transitioned to a toddler and I was awe-struck by his sweet perfection. Immeadiately (sp?), I thought to myself "This is the most gorgeous toddler I have ever had in the entire time I've been playing the Sims 2"... I had to take pictures, then minimized the game so I could clean it up, crop it, and so forth. Here's the toddler in question: After I was done with the image, I decided I'd make it into my desktop pic right away... I clicked 'Apply' and suddenly something popped up and told me that Nightlife had crashed and was going to close. My chest tightened... How much had I lost? I was certain I had saved while he was a baby. I open the game and go into the household to find that the last time I saved was right before Giovanni was born. Since sims are made at birth, not at conception... it means he's lost. The biggest punch in the face is that I normally save constantly. Moral of the story: It can bloody wait till you're done playing!

Feel free to pass along those files any which way you please, as long as you give credit to me, and don't try anything dumb like selling it. The eyes and skin are seperate files, so don't forget that one if you actually have it.. Either way, the forum should be setup by tomorrow if everything goes as it should. *crosses fingers*

Frustratingly enough, I found some people with the very same problem on the threads of other default replacement skins, but no solution listed.. Possibly they figured it out on their own, got help elsewhere, or gave up. I'm done for tonight, but I'll start looking around again tomorrow.. If I can't find anything, I'll post on modthesims help section.. Someone is bound to know how to fix it, right? I'm not sure that JM or TJ could help, since they don't make that kind of stuff.

Your poor little bi-colored sims.. Are you sure you don't have any other default skin replacements that may include aliens? Hmmm... I'll try to look up issues with default skin replacements, maybe someone else has run into this problem.

Locked doors: No, no, no. Bed Patch: Yes... You have to be sure you assign a bed for every sim living in the household, or they'll just pick their own aimlessly, and not with any real consistency... Which just screws up everyone else because their spot is taken. Mayhem ensues. If you use the latter mod correctly, you will never have any issues with sims sleeping in the wrong bed/coffin ever again. I promise, cross-my-heart.

Yes, it most certainly effects existing aliens in the game. If they have big eyes and a non-existent nose, they will still look that way with the full alien replacement setup... However, they'll have changed skin and eye colors. New aliens will be born by a different father (in a sense), and have different physical characteristics.
