TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fortune Sim Wanting to Quit Work?

The "Quit Job" want is simply blindly generated whenever you sell a good novel or painting. It's mostly designed to just annoy you, because if you actually *DO* it, they'll just nag you for another job in all-wantslot-clog.

Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Pool Hack - Anti-Pool Obsession And More!
|

This isn't a nude-related hack at all. It doesn't allow your sims to become naked, it doesn't affect anything about your sims being naked. It merely suppresses the "change to swimsuit" if your sim is already naked, thus allowing them to swim while naked. The task of MAKING your sims naked for this is left as an exercise for the reader. If you have no particular means of making them naked, this case will never come up.

Awesomeware / The Armory / Pool Hack - Anti-Pool Obsession And More!

Pertains to the swimming pool, not the pool table. poolhack.zipRTFM: Pool Hack (v1b) for TS2 v1.0p2 & TS2U v1.0 Made by: Flying Fish Systems (J. M. Pescado)
Special Thanks To: Quaxi, for writing SimPE Fairlight the Bitch
Congratulations to: Draklixa!
INSTRUCTIONS: Place in your MYDOCU~1\EAGAME~1\THESIM~1\DOWNLO~1 directory.
FEATURES: Visitors should no longer insist on jumping into your pool at the first unattended moment: They will only use the pool if appropriate dressed for it, as opposed to magically pulling their swimsuits from their butts the moment you leave them unattended for 3 seconds and then proceeding to wander the house soggily after you shoo them out. Sims no longer change back immediately after chickening out from diving. Sims who are being WATCHED while diving will not be able to wimp out anymore. People would make fun of you for that. And then push you in anyway. Last but not least, the option to swim naked has been made available, so if your sim is already naked, he won't change before diving. Making your sims get naked for the task is left as an exercise for the reader.
COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with all FFS Hacks. Tested for TS2U v1.0.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause computer damage, incontinence, explosion of user's head, coma, death, and/or halitosis.

That's unrelated to this: The game naturally attempts to maintain a pool of 3 NPCs of any given type. Baristas were an exception, as the game would never previously attempt to reuse a Barista, instead always generating more and more and more Baristas.

I think Gali is much too silly to be the 90 or so needed to be able to play with the earliest teletypes to meet the requirements outlined. Then again, at that age, it could be senility. I'm already starting to feel that. But then, at 90, Gali would be older than the country she lives in, since there wasn't an Israel at all then. More likely Gali has misunderestimated me.

Well, an artifact of using coinflips is that there's a cascade effect in pollination technicians:
For instance, if you flip a coin to decide each time, the first pollination technician has a 50% chance of being chosen, the next one has a 50% chance for a 25% chance that this one is chosen, the third one has another 50% chance, which comes down to 12.5%, and then the fourth one (assuming 4) is the fallback option, so gets the remaining difference, 12.5%.
This, of course, means there's a clear hierarchy of pollination technicians here.

Err, well, that depends. If you're simply iteratively going down the list and want to make sure you select one in a single pass? No, not really. Otherwise, you could run a two-pass scheme: One pass to count the number of PTs you have, then do a Random call. Alternatively, you could get really fancy, and try to delve into the messy and ugly realm of Array Operations, so you assemble them into an Array for a single pass, and then randomly select by index....tricky stuff.

Well, certain things are particularly prone to being affected by the non-awesome hacks of other less than awesome people. In particular, anything which might involve woohoo is a leading offender. If your sims are having problems with that, I'm inclined to blame certain hacks for it. The Social Worker's Car happens to be a repository of certain Social Worker codes, and it's possible that somebody tampered with it in an attempt to do something to adoption. Which is quite likely, or else you probably wouldn't be adopting babies from Ugly Babies With Horrible Names, Inc.

I've never seen the taxi entirely fail to appear like that. That's unusual, and I don't think it's associated with Greek houses in general, since all of my sims have graduated from two Greek houses without any such incident. Perhaps it's one specific corrupted house?

Fist I must tell you, I "think" I have found a way to lock in the smart milk faster learning for the life time of the Sims; I have a Gold or Platimum(sp?) Sims feed the toddler smart milk just before the age transition is suppose to start, say around 5:15 or 5:30, and when they change into a child the faster learning is set unless the thinking cap or a move from home is used. How did I do?? Am I 100% w-r-o-n-g??? It's not a "reliable" process. In testing, I've found that it will often (but not always) happen if you simply feed the toddler one smart milk in his entire life. Sometimes it takes more than one to stick. Sometimes it never sticks. You can get more exact empirical figures yourself on the latest version of the Automated Baby Controller, which includes an IQ Tester in the options. If you get a value of 300 or more, it means smart milk is in effect. If it still says that when smart milk hasn't been in effect for awhile, you are stuck. At that point, feeding MORE smart milk, like with bubble butt and other stuckness situations, can actually undo the effect. Here is my real problem that I have not read about from others!! I am afaid I used the dreaded boolProp testingCheats only once to change some of the bars on one family only and immediately dis-abled it and now my Sims can NOT adopt!! None of them!! Not in any of the neighborhoods!! They call and are approved and told that they would have a visit the next day at 10 and then NO one shows up and option drops from the phone forever as long as the same family lives there. I had an object error pop up during the closing of the testingCheat that said "Car - Social Worker - 0,8" #142, then something about error: Stack overflow. How can I fix this?? Err...beats me. I think you have some hack-that-isn't-more-awesome-than-you. Also the headmaster fails to show up at random homes, no mater how many times you call him, but does show up at others!?!?! AWOL headmasters is fixed by the Lot Debugger. Picking the "Fix AWOL Headmaster" option detonates the corrupted scenario controller, forcing the game to regenerate a new one which should not be stuck.

I am "she" (female), and when all of you needed to change diapers, including JM, I already played computer games (guess my age, lol). Are you kidding? I completely predate computers that aren't the size of buildings, and am roughly contemporary with the invention of public television. Computers at that time were bigger than houses, and bugs hadn't even been invented yet. The invention of bugs didn't occur until 1945, by which time I was much too old for diapers. When I was young, games hadn't even been invented yet, and so for entertainment, we'd chase each other around and hit each other with sticks. This was back when you could actually be outdoors.

Experimental, untested fix for "mile wide mass of Zergs" barista spam. nonpcspam.zipRTFM: No NPC Spam (v1b) for TS2U v1.0 Made by: Flying Fish Systems (J. M. Pescado)
Special Thanks To: Quaxi, for writing SimPE Fairlight the Bitch
Congratulations to: Draklixa!
INSTRUCTIONS: Place in your MYDOCU~1\EAGAME~1\THESIM~1\DOWNLO~1 directory.
FEATURES: This should cut down the "mile wide mass of Zergs" effect for Barista-spawning in Uni. It also eliminates a lot of the "safety" checking for NPC-typing, so if you try to create an NPC by simply setting his NPC type and dumping him into the NPC pool, this hack will disable that check and you'll get your new, non-functional NPC showing up to not work. Fortunately, this should never actually happen unless you are actively trying to do something stupid and not recommended. So don't.
COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with all FFS Hacks. Untested alpha for TS2U v1.0.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause computer damage, incontinence, explosion of user's head, coma, death, and/or halitosis.

Also, what's a "Posie Flump", anyway? I notice you wandered by the chat while I was off excavating earlier yesterday.
