76  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Inventory box on: 2007 July 09, 09:46:27
If you want something similar to this idea of inventory boxes -- go to simwardrobe.com. Paladin has packing stations for produce and fish, which deliver neatly packed crates which can then be stored or sold as you wish.
77  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Inventory box on: 2007 July 09, 09:37:33
Well in Seasons we already have give gift, which allows giving anything from the inventory to another Sim.

Amber, if TS2 Seasons won't run, you will need to buy and install a proper videocard. Anything ATI or Nvidia less than 2 years old *should* do the trick.
79  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Seasons Error Message on: 2007 July 07, 16:57:48
Ouch, an Intel onboard videocard. There's your problem.
80  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: MATY HOOD CONTEST on: 2007 July 07, 08:27:36
I like the idea, but I don't do challenges. When I play TS2 at all, it is according to my rules Smiley

Besides, proper lot building takes me too long just to do it for a contest. Most of my houses are predownloaded (I like plasticbox's collections), and those few lots I've built myself are populated by old families, so I can't rip them out of my current 'hood without doing damage.
81  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Seasons Error Message on: 2007 July 06, 21:00:07
Not without any clue what the error is.
My crystal ball broke, so I can no longer magically see your screen.

You are running from the original Seasons disk I assume?
82  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Where are my pictures? on: 2007 July 04, 18:35:14
Did you look in the main storytelling folder, or in the one for your neighbourhood? Since Uni or NL they're stored unique per 'hood.
83  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NPC don't ring a bell on: 2007 July 04, 10:04:23
Emma: I don't like the visitor controller. I can't figure out how to unblock everyone by default (I shouldn't have to edit the settings to get the normal behaviour), and it conflicts with the pregnant teen mesh.
I'm using APO to ban them.

Marhis: seriously? Then it is a simple matter of SimPE fixing.
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NPC don't ring a bell on: 2007 July 04, 06:56:29
Not just NPCs do that. I have some YAs and townies that show up in my houses without keys.

I have a hack by Squinge which prevents the "Met X" from being created in the first place. Nometsubject.package
86  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fitness Surprise on: 2007 July 03, 16:21:47
Sorry, but the mental image I got of large + muscular is the Kingpin (re-watched Daredevil lately).
No disrespect intended Wink

I used to be very skinny, but I gained some weight recently. I'm actually at my optimum weight now. Could use some more musculature, though.
87  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fitness Surprise on: 2007 July 03, 15:13:06
My self sim should be fat with a fitness flag.  I'm well padded, but I'm in good shape; I can outrun many skinny people.

And CRUSH THEM beneath your weight?

Fear the fatties, for they will dine on us.

The dome roof is from OFB. And I think those windows are not base game either.
89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is it possible to mod the daylight times? on: 2007 July 02, 10:40:20
Isn't this possible with Lighting.txt? I saw references to dawn and sunset in there.
90  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Odd problems when taking a specific sim to a community lot on: 2007 July 02, 07:49:10
We'll need the log file ObjectError_N002_t219.txt in order to say something meaningful about this.

Seems you either have some hack that does not work with whatever expansion you have, or some hack conflict.
91  TS2: Burnination / Building Contest of Awesomeness / Re: NVA's Submission on: 2007 July 01, 21:25:54
akatonbo - where can I find this Windkeeper stuff? All I know of is the Meroccan chair, and a giant servo statue/lamp.
92  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Being Expelled From Uni on: 2007 July 01, 20:44:47
I think this specific problem is caused by an inteen conflict with the clothing tools globals package. Take it out -- you don't really need it anyway.

Hi Ste. Did you also update teenenabledwoohoowants.zip ?
94  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Fire Mod v2 on: 2007 July 01, 16:50:51
Oh, good to know that fixes it. Doubt it's due to this mod though.
95  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Fire Mod v2 on: 2007 July 01, 13:25:50
That's just a stuck effect, these things happen from time to time. For some reason the game didn't process the end animation code, so it thinks it has to keep playing it.
I think it will disappear by itself over time. Other than starting a second fire (so this time the end animation code can run) I don't know a fix for this exists.
96  TS2: Burnination / Building Contest of Awesomeness / Re: NVA's Submission on: 2007 July 01, 13:07:05
MTS2 member Ailias has also been doing some good Maxis-matching furniture, completing their sets. Windkeeper also did at least one (a Meroccan chair to match the sofa and loveseat).
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Own a business in a University on: 2007 July 01, 12:32:43
I see no reason for most Uni limitations. Why can't students have pets? Why can't you have a live-in Servo slave?

Uni is EAxis' abandoned stepchild. Nothing new has been done for it since the Uni EP, and I don't think something *will* in future expansions. It could and should have been tied in with the rest of the game a lot better -- it's mostly its own separate game inside TS2.
If it weren't for the other features of the EP (new careers, six slots, etc.) I'd not install it.
98  TS2: Burnination / Building Contest of Awesomeness / Re: NVA's Submission on: 2007 July 01, 12:29:02
The mismatching walls and floors are one of my major annoyances, too. It's one of the reasons I completely dump my \thumbnails folder after installing a new EP or SP, so all stuff will be displayed with accurate thumbnails as rendered on my box, and not with what EAMaxis claims it displays as.
I have a few dozen collections of matching wallpapers and floors, painstakenly matched by hand.
99  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Quick yes or no question on Genetics on: 2007 July 01, 12:26:44
No.

1 = dominant
2 = recessive
3 = extra recessive
4 = super recessive

These are integers (ℕ, indivisible whole numbers). Something like 1,4 is treated as 1. I'm not sure if rounding is used, or a simple cut-off after the comma (so 1,9 might still be treated as 1).
100  TS2: Burnination / Building Contest of Awesomeness / Re: Twooflower's Sucky Entry '07 on: 2007 July 01, 11:57:25
The "platform" (indoor stage) can also be used to do a split stairwell, without the wall distortion effect or need for building tricks. One possible issue is that it is only 4 steps high, not 8, and has no freely usable space below it.
