Nope. Still crashing around the same time.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 November 01, 11:10:53
I've just had a CTD for the first time in a very, very long time. As others have noted, it happened at exactly 3.50 a.m. I'm using the latest version of Awesome - had no problems with the previous version. Only other mods are Story Progression, Overwatch and STFU Bicycle.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck on: 2011 June 08, 11:21:38
I've just come across the old age-resetting bug after one of my sims got a tattoo. Was this actually fixed by EA and is now back, or is it one of the many glitches that they never bothered with but which was fixed by AM (I've not tried out the test version yet, so am playing a vanilla game)?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 29, 11:13:08
I've been having troubles with groups and vampires. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, so...

Several of my sims are friends with or dating vampires. If they invite the vampire to their home lot, a group is automatically formed. Then, the second that the vampire arrives at the lot, he/she decides that they are incredibly bored and very literally turns right around and leaves. Even if I have my sim out on the sidewalk waiting for them, I don't have time to interact with them.

This never happens with non-vampires when they are invited over, or if I invite a vampire out. However, it's incredibly annoying.

I've had this happen to me several times, but with non-vamps. It is indeed incredibly annoying.

Further to a couple of posts a few pages back, I've also been having an issue with sounds not shutting off as they should. A couple of times, I've gone into build/buy mode briefly and then returned to live mode only to find the build/buy music is still playing, along with the normal sounds. Saving, quitting to desktop and reloading fixes the issue, so it's not the end of the world, but it's still rather irritating.

By "autopause" I think she meant it automatically slows down.

Yeah, sorry, poor choice of wording on my part. I meant what you guys are all saying - 4th speed is the same speed as 3rd but then reverts to normal speed at the end of the current action. It's never been faster than 3rd speed.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 4th speed stopped working? on: 2010 November 18, 15:29:04
The 4th speed has always been 3rd speed with autopause. Always.

Magwitch, the 'fixall' code will clear out all the stuck objects. You will see a 'X phantom butt cleared' message and your furniture in the whole neighborhood is working fine again. That is, only if you use Awesomemod.

Thanks for trying to help, Painkiller, but fixall was the first thing I tried. The only fixes I ever get with it are minipartner ones, which I believe has to do with missing/screwed up relationship data. This problem I described has nothing to do with stuck objects, but seems to be a sign that the neighbourhood is about to go kaboom. Why this should be in a neighbourhood that is still in its first generation, using no mods other than Awesome, I don't know, but I'm seeing more and more posts about it in the official forums.

I'm also having issues with maids not cleaning properly. They do one thing - like make the beds - raid the fridge and then merrily go on their way, charging me the full amount. Nice work if you can get it.

More seriously, I've now encountered the 'sims get stuck in bed' bug, in a brand-new neighbourhood. ResetSim only works temporarily and replacing the bed in question doesn't help. I've been researching this and it seems that this bug has been around for a while, but is happening much more often after the latest patch/LN - I've never come across it before. People are saying that this eventually leads to a neighbourhood full of invisible and stuck sims. Is my neighbourhood FUBAR before it's even got started properly?

On the plus side, babies and toddlers now gain relationship points from being interacted with as normal. This was broken ages ago and was driving me crazy.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 05, 08:30:14
My sim died. I don't know if it's because of that, but I can't move in another household. I click the checkmark and it goes grey and nothing happens. I have to go to edit town and try again, but it won't work. It doesnt work if I choose a household either.

The issue of move household seizing up and not allowing move-out or move-in is not specific to the Ambitions EP.  This has occurred in one of my households prior to WA (base TS3 game only).  I am not sure what causes this, but it is not likely caused by something directly related to Ambitions.

To get rid of the problem, I simply zorched the entire hood and started over.  You may wish to try a less "drastic" solution, of course, but I bet my method is faster.

This happened to me yesterday in a brand new neighborhood. I quit the game, restarted it, started another new neighbourhood...same thing happened again. I've never come across this before Ambitions and there are quite a few posts on the official board complaining about this.
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 April 27, 09:01:46
I also occasionally get the random freezing (with animations and sounds carrying on). When this happens, I usually have to quit the game via the task manager. I'm not sure the issue is AwesomeMod related, though. Some people think it's to do with a sim getting stuck somewhere in the neighbourhood.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "grab hand" in Sims 3 glitching on: 2009 December 20, 14:54:53
Yep. I've just experienced this issue for the first time, after moving a family into a new house and trying to unload the family inventory. There weren't many items in there, though - a dozen at most.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New 'bug' with patch 1.8? on: 2009 December 19, 10:18:10
Yeah, I'm getting this issue too, with and without Awesomemod.
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod breaks Sims 3 upon installation? on: 2009 December 19, 10:14:07
Actually, Murhagh, Skadi is correct. Inserting two spaces after a period is antiquated and no longer used. Pick up a book (if you own one - you don't strike me as a reader) and check. Your wife is obviously as retarded as you. And she teaches? Dear God, that is depressing. Please don't breed.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2009 December 09, 13:38:12
I've noticed that after WA (or maybe the fucked-up 'update' patch) babies and toddlers are no longer gaining relationship points with any teens or adults through the snuggle/tickle/feed options. I'm not getting the blue '+' signs at all. Babies are still at 0 points with their parents when they age up to toddlers, despite endless snuggling. Toddlers are only gaining points when adults/teens play with the xylophone etc with them or train them. I've searched various forums to see if anyone else is having the issue, but I've not seen it come up before. The only mod I use is Awesomemod, and I know it's not that. Can anyone comfirm this bug?
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 1.5/1.6 Patch warning! on: 2009 November 18, 17:32:56
They haven't removed the patch. I reinstalled my game and it updated with this latest patch just a few hours ago. Everything works well now except for the minor annoyances I mentioned earlier and the more significant annoyance of not having awesomemod for a while.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 1.5/1.6 Patch warning! on: 2009 November 18, 17:19:44
You obviously haven't seen the list of changes made by this patch - it is huge. It claims to fix a multitude of glitches plus adds many new features, including the ability to build basements. That's why people are installing it.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 1.5/1.6 Patch warning! on: 2009 November 18, 15:59:37
I was having the 'error 16' saving issue, so I uninstalled, reinstalled minus all mods and patched to 1.6 (I don't have WA). No more saving issues now, but I have noticed a couple of things that have clearly been broken by the patch - surprise, surprise! The most annoying is that food goes bad in a matter of a few hours now, even in the most expensive fridge, so there's just no point cooking group meals any more. Also, sims don't automatically stop working on a painting when it is complete.

I'm sure you tried this, but there's a toggle in the graphics panel to turn the snow cursor on and off.

That toggle doesn't even show up if your video card doesn't support shaders.

Re the homework buried in snow thing: the snow disappears when you go into build or buy mode, so you can just pick up the homework and put it inside somewhere.

Magwitch & Kimmy, do you guys have the 'No Instant Love' mod by JM?  If so that's probably why it's so difficult to move their relationships along, as you can tell by the name.

I do have that hack, but had removed it before posting here and it didn't make any difference. Anyway, no matter. I played that sim last night, invited the girlfriend over and - bam!- instant crush and love all at once. It's weird that it took so long. At least the poor guy's getting some now.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 06, 08:06:37
I don't know if this has anything to do with Seasons, but a weird situation is occurring with one of my sims and I have never had this happen before.

My male sim has been romancing a local female sim. She's been in love with him for ages, but I've not managed to get him to even crush on her, despite countless dates and hours and hours of flirting, kissing etc. His relationship with her is at 100/100 and he has a bolt for her, so what gives? I've temporarily removed any romance-related hacks (which are all supposedly Seasons-compatible anyway) and that's not helped the situation. It's annoying because he's cute and I want him to breed, and the only alternative mates are...shudder...townies. Plus the guy is now a middle-aged virgin and I feel kind of sorry for him.

Has anyone encountered anything like this before?
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 01, 07:03:33
Nah, they're like the vamps. You can cure them by buying a potion off the annoying gypsy woman who's always hanging around.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Patch is out for FFS on: 2006 May 03, 10:28:39
I wasn't going to buy it, but my husband brought it home for me last night as a gift, bless him.  I've installed and everything seems to be OK, though I haven't tried the dressers yet.

I can't for the life of me figure out why the hell the patch is 28MB when the disc only installs 4MB!  WTF?  I'm not downloading a huge patch that only fixes two issues - actually only one as the clothing issue does not seem to be fixed.  It's ludicrous.  I'm assuming another, more effective patch will be released soon.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graves and Cemetery Issues on: 2006 April 13, 17:14:22
Thanks.  I'll try it and see.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graves and Cemetery Issues on: 2006 April 13, 15:43:15
Yeah, it seems that it's just one of those things that some people have and others don't.  Someone on TSR said she had no problems in her neighbourhood, but her husband's neighbourhood has this issue.  Same game, two different neighbourhoods.  Go figure.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graves and Cemetery Issues on: 2006 April 13, 14:01:24
That's not the problem I'm having (and others too).  I went in and out of the cemetery a gazillion times.  They only show up in live mode, never in build/buy mode, so I can't rearrange them. Every time I take a sim to the lot, the graves have randomly moved and are all higgledy-piggledy.  I'm a neat freak, so this drives me mad!
