1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2013 March 09, 02:18:57
I will almost certainly be reamed for this but I am trying to get AM to work on my Macbook Pro (New 2012) and failing. I have been searching for 2 days and found nothing useful to help explain this issue. I have the framework in place and working so that isn't the issue. My framework is in the documents folder (EA/ The Sims 3/ Mods/ Packages). I am fully patched and running the base + WA, HELS, AMB, LN, OUT, GEN, TL, PETS & Seasons. I have been trying this all with no other CC or mods. Unless the no disk feature no longer works I am sure beyond a doubt AM is not working as I cant run the game without the disk.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 October 24, 23:46:54
I have looked everywhere to see if I could find just the counters & Cabinets for the bayside Kitchen set. I have the rest of the set made into a package file but since they dont work that way and you can't get those items on the Ea store anymore I was hoping to find them somewhere else. I found some in the downloads area but they won't install into the game no matter what I do. Any ideas other then me being a idiot?

Okay maybe the actual question got lost in my post, What I'm wondering is if anyone knows where I can get working Sim3pack files of the counters and cabinets?
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Updater (v2.2 - Updated 11/20/2010) on: 2010 November 21, 21:42:35
I am also having the problem with Error code 4. I also use windows 7 64bit version. My game is fully patched and the updater was working fine til this update. I tried removing the program and files from the windows directory and then reinstalling them and nothing is working.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: EA store stuff in *.dbc format - a torrent on: 2010 February 12, 06:02:42
I was wondering if there is a program I can use to edit the .DBC files if there is something that was added that I may not want. Like the holiday stuff.
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 February 10, 03:52:35
I have a question. I am just getting back to playing WA with Windows 7 (I haven't played since late Nov. or December sometime). I don't have the stuff pack yet and not sure when I will be getting it. And the dumb launcher forced me to update to the 2.5.12 patch. My question is am I going to be able to run my game with AM or is it not going to work now?

I was also suspended on The sims 3 site for suggesting the FPS Limiter too.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Beta Testing 1.7.9/WA 2.2.8 Problems/Questions/Discussion on: 2009 November 26, 23:37:53
So I have a question what if I have to reinstall and not put the 2.2.8 patch back because of what it is doing to my game? How will that effect my ability to use AM once it is out of testing. Because I can't build basements without the game crashing since I upgraded to the 2.2.8 patch even when I tried the version on AM that was out yesterday afternoon without any of my other mods in the game.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 November 17, 01:12:22
I was wondering if AM is going to have to be updated for the Ep that comes out tomorrow. That way I don't install it if it will be a problem.
And also wondering have there been more updates to AM since oct 20th?

I second the food in the inventory cooked or uncooked not going bad for longer. Just my 2 cents there.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 October 06, 14:42:08
After I went in to play my game last night I went and searched for the Goth and Wolfe houses because to be honest I didn't even know which they were. And sure enough it isn't only my art gallery which is fubarred. However where the art gallery is totally gone the two houses are only partially bad. But being in use it won't let me fix them either. And I didn't see any railing in the art gallery that weren't already in the game. ( I read that one post about ea putting railing that weren't in the build mode, which was supposed to have corrupted the lots). But I have never entered the Goth or Wolfe house so I have no clue as to what is inside them but I could see the some of the walls and floors were doing the ? multi color thing. I will probably go find homes to replace them too. I also do not have the greatest ability when it comes to building homes. I kinda suck actually. No imagination at all. So Thanks for the info it was very mostly helpful everyone. Smiley

I am running windows vista ultimate 23-bit, memory 4gigs, AMD Phenom 9600B Quad-core Processor 2.30 ghz and without doing some digging I can't remember what I have for my graphics card but I remember it was more then capable.
AFAICT, there is only 32-bit or 64-bit.

Sorry meant 32-bit. Dyslexia hard at work again i guess.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 October 05, 07:30:33
So if all I have that has this screwy problem is the art gallery do I have to redo my whole neighborhood? I don't want to loose any family I have made. I just want to make sure and I have never really understood about doing anything to the town outside of whatever home I am playing without starting something new. In that way I miss the way they did TS2. And my art gallery seems to have went bad after the last AM update too.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 October 05, 05:28:16
Something I have noticed with these errors as I have suffered from them too as well as the crashes the can come with them. Mostly on my main and most valued family. Is that the Difficulty of the family seems to have a bearing in whether this is happening. Because I can go from a house that is getting errors within 15 to 30 minutes of game play and crashing shortly after that and the thing with going out into the town and making changes hasn't helped me at all so far when I tried it. And I even tried dealing with EA as useless as that was. In the end I got a 1000 store credit for my trouble and that instruction on how to do the work around with the town edit. But if I go to some of my lower difficulty families and play there is no trouble whatsoever. I find this interesting and it kind of goes with what I have been reading about lower file save sizes cause I am sure they would be. Just thought I would mention this.

For those interested I am running windows vista ultimate 23-bit, memory 4gigs, AMD Phenom 9600B Quad-core Processor 2.30 ghz and without doing some digging I can't remember what I have for my graphics card but I remember it was more then capable.

You wouldn't happen to know where I can find it would you I have had no luck. I will search again but if you might know where to even point me for a direction that would be great!

It was in Pudding Factory but the author got his/her feelings hurt and pulled it.

Would you happen to know the name of the person that made it or the name of the hack? So I can do a better search for it then. Cause I am getting no where.
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 October 04, 19:40:16
My question/request  is related to if there is or can be added to AM or made that can reduce or remove the sound that is made when a sim achieves a goal or whatever.
Someone has already made a hack that eliminates the fanfare for achieving a want. This is not an issue for core modding.

My question/request  is related to if there is or can be added to AM or made that can reduce or remove the sound that is made when a sim achieves a goal or whatever. Like reaching level 1 of gardening through reading. Because I have noticed that no matter how I set my sound on my computer it is a lot louder and I tend to play late at night when my boyfriend is trying to sleep so I have to turn all the rest of the sound down so low I can't hear it and it might as well be turned off. I have tried looking to see if someone may have down this all ready but I am not getting anywhere. But I am not very good at doing searches either. Anyone know if there is or could be such a thing??? Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

PS. It was suggested to me that this was probably core mod related and that is why I am asking here.

Thanks,
Lady

I have the same problem and I discover that I can lower those stupid noises (special effects if I remember right) but it doesn't stick when I close the game. The cursor stays where I put it but the sound is back to full after I restart the game. SO I have to lower it everytime I start the game. Have you tried that ?

No I hadn't but I will I would still like something more permanent though if it is possible. The sounds is honestly very annoying to me. I would like it gone if possible. But I like most of the rest of the game sound. (Shrugs)

Nice to know for me too I have not had one male child born since I have been playing and I got the game when it was released. Only girls. I am getting over run. I will remove the hack I have for the fruit thing and try feeding apples to my pregnant sim.
19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 28, 21:13:38
I have a question is there anything that can help me force a female sim to give birth. I have one who is stuck very pregnant and she won't progress any farther. I had been using a prenancy hack and didn't realize I couldn't change to a different length hack (oops!) so now she is stuck. I tried resetting her but that doesn't seem to be helping. Any suggesting??
This is definately not helpful, but I tryed everything and nothing worked.  I started over.  It was Morgana Wolff, so I wasn't willing to let her die pregnant.

Yeah. Mine is my own character. That I created. And I do have back saved saves but this means going back to when my triplets are toddlers and they were already adults and had moved out. and I am playing on the lifetime level that is just below the longest setting. So I had been playing her a long time pregnant. Her husband had went from no job to the 5th level military job and then top of the science job. And I had totally remodeled the house too.

Chaos could you maybe direct me to where I can find out about the inability to delete custom content possibly? I did try and do a search but I have never been very good at it and I don't have the time or patience to site and read pages of thread. You seem to think what I asked was already talked about so might you know where? Please. Thank you and all of that. Cheesy
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 04, 00:41:32
Can anyone help me? I seem to not be able to delete custom content when I have the awesomod is in my game. Does anyone know why this is. Because if I remove it I can again and I have tried using the customize feature of the awesomod and then it (the mod itself) doesn't seem to work at all.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Updating CC for FT on: 2008 March 13, 02:19:32
ok that is just more work then I am willing to put into changing tables. Its not like I have my sims take the little ones outside anyway. Now getting to set adult outerwear might be worth it.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Updating CC for FT on: 2008 March 13, 01:27:04
Lord Darcy, I have a question about the files you have supplied. None of them are labeled in anyway so how can we tell which ones they are? If we use the wrong one wouldnt that mess things up? Specifically the changing table ones. There are so many file going to so many places.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Abandonated Mods Needing Updates for Free Time on: 2008 March 09, 18:57:20
