If eevilcat so desires, I'm willing to put the house s/he made up on my 4shared account.  I'm one of the 10 downloaders, and I LOVE this house.  It's very playable, and the Singles Family is very grateful, as well.  Eevilcat just needs to let me know, or perhaps s/he will/can put it up on a 4shared account or mediafire account of his/her own.

Pescado, perhaps you should remove it from the AL directory?  I went in there to check on it for PlayLives, and there it was.  What does it do, anyway?
28  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Hack Directory - All Hacks on: 2008 October 26, 03:24:46
Fastpass is also AL approved, but non-DC.

Perhaps you need to plop down premade apartments?
30  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating Vacation Locals Question on: 2008 October 23, 18:28:45
That's odd, Pes, since my clean-template takemitzu village has only one "local" and he is not in a kimono.  Does that also apply when one uses the nowhateverregen packages?
31  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating Vacation Locals Question on: 2008 October 23, 03:21:02
Pescado's clothing tool works.  Make the townie selectable, click on the clothing tool, change the outfit(s) and hair, then make the townie unselectable.  If you make them yourself, use the townie gun or Inge's Summoner Cat Thing to make them Locals of the right places.
32  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating Vacation Locals Question on: 2008 October 23, 00:56:33
Yes, the game will generate at least one vacation local.  No, they won't be in the "local" uniform.  They'll have random townie-clothes like any other "townie".  If you want vacation locals in local outfits, you must either make them yourself and then make them locals, or recostume them with one of several methods.

I've seen her on Downtown community lots since Nightlife came out.  I didn't realize this was not supposed to happen, as in the Nightlife guide, it said it was SUPPOSED to happen.  (Back then I was still acquiring the guides.)

Copy the kissingpoints.package from your My Documents/EA Games/Sims 2/Locked Bins folder.  That should be the file you need.

*sigh*

What hacks do you use?  Do you have CC?  Do you have custom careers?  Does this happen in a completely vanilla (no extra anything) game?  Do you have CC Cars?  Have you verified that all your CC/Hacks/Mods are updated for AL?
36  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Unofficial AL Patch - Assorted Fixes on: 2008 October 19, 22:59:27
Do you have hacks or CC in your game?  Does this happen in a plain-vanilla game?  You might want to make a new thread in the podium or in Oops! You broke it.  That way, we can ask questions and try to help without spamming the UALP thread.  You were very polite, though, and that will stand you in good stead.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Instruct in Hobby broken at level 10 enthusiasm? on: 2008 October 19, 02:34:51
Yeah, it's the simlish version of some jerk standing behind you while you exercise at the gym, saying "Want to know what you're doing wrong?  I can tell you..."
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Instruct in Hobby broken at level 10 enthusiasm? on: 2008 October 18, 01:36:00
From Gastfyr:

On a slightly related note, what does the "share hobby tips" mean?

It allows your sim to jabber at someone else doing something related to whatever hobby, increasing the other sim's hobby enthusiasm gain rate.  I've seen them do it autonomously.

That "hideous custom content" piece is probably the bigfoot hair.

I think he married a special-forces trained scary lady.  She probably informed him that he WAS going to go out with her.  She sounds like a very interesting person, actually, but Pescado says she doesn't give lessons in thumb-killing.
41  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: AL: i broke my closets...and i dont know how. on: 2008 October 14, 20:38:33
There are other places that people put downloads, too.  Have you removed your downloads folder completely to the desktop and checked your "bin" and "override" folders in ALL your installation folders for random darcyfixes/CEPStuff/otherStuff?  In a completely clean game, it should work properly.  If it doesn't, you may have a messed up installation.
42  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 October 14, 20:34:36
Somehow I think that Mrs. Pes rules the roost.  She does kill with her thumbs.  Also, Pescado claims that she is meaner than he is, and he doesn't want to be killed and eaten.
43  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Phone Hack v8.3 on: 2008 October 14, 05:30:52
On the FFS Lot Debugger, there is an option to Nuke offworld loiterers.

Tryclyn:  Very nice.  I love what you did with the pool.  I also like the changing table in the bathroom.  I'm going to have to implement that idea in other houses.  The greenhouse and the entryway are beautiful.
45  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Phone Hack v8.3 on: 2008 October 12, 20:10:13
Supposedly, but they did it wrong and it doesn't work out that way.  The paperboy can't be called, for one.  The postman, for two.  I've taken to giving every sim I see a cell phone when I reclothe/makeover them with the Clothing Tool, just in case.
46  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Round and round she goes, where she stops hopefully someone knows. on: 2008 October 12, 16:20:04
I understand that you've taken the neighborhood folder in and out, but have you actually removed the downloads folder and put it somewhere else, like the desktop?
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game not loading? on: 2008 October 11, 00:54:55
Have you ensured that you are using the correct NoCD?  I don't think this is an unholy hybrid issue, but it could be.
48  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 October 10, 02:31:57
That prevents AL from dumping unwanted sims in the simbin, and doesn't add precreated social townies.  Belladonna Cove is untouched.  If you want to prevent premade idiocy in your 'hood, then it will work.  If you want to use Belladonna Cove, emptied, then you need an E001 clean/fixed file.
49  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: October on: 2008 October 09, 22:35:25
Very cool.  I like the tower of atrium and the quirky layout.
50  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does anything like this already exist? Is this even possible? on: 2008 October 09, 01:52:25
I really liked the idea of a purchasable "potion" or something that reduced chances for a limited amount of time, much more than hacks that always reduce that chance.  I'm still hoping it's possible or doable.  Perfume has a duration and an effect.  Perhaps just designing a new effect and potion bottle?  It's way beyond my abilities, though.
