Judges? There is someone besides me? Anyway... I think the "cockihorn" is the most WTF. It is useless, tasteless, a bad color, and poor meshing. Grrr I downloaded all that shit and looked at it in-game. I am deleting the junk NOW. Judging done, from my end, and I will learn to keep my sympathy to myself.

You also may want to pick an Insim. You should only have one version installed, not all three. Having more than one version installed makes things go wonky for no apparent reason.I though the three was necessary, thanks to told me about it. Same problem with perfect gardens/perfect plants. One or the other, not both.Same explanation... I though the two was different. I will make one out of my game right away. Thank you very much for your help Most Hack/fix/cc things come with a readme or instructions. One should ALWAYS RTFM before install. I recommend that you never put something in your game without being quite clear about what it does, what it plays nicely with, and where you should place it. edit: RTFM means Read The Fucking Manual edit2: Excuse my attack of niceness. I think I'm better now.

Correct but I didn't think the OP said it was a second Uni - adding a second uni will, however, add another 50 students.
However, the OP said "always". "Always" was incorrect. "The first University you add to your neighborhood will add 24 professors, and each University you add will add 50 students" is much better.

how do I go about giving the results of my judging? Do I rate all the entries in order of WTF and post my results? Do I PM someone or post with my Ultimate WTF vote? Is it a first/second/third thing?
May I suggest having a look at previous More Aweful Than You! competitions? They should all be easy to find in the Planet K 20X6 board. The results will be in the last page or so except, IIRC, May where the topic was closed after serious derailment. Have fun, some of the competitions are great to read (if you're into that kind of thing). OK, I got it now... Wait for the Awesome One to yell "Judge it, Damn it" and then post my opinion.

I know. Wasn't it so nice of you to volunteer, therefore?
I hope you weren't talking to me.... Aren't I immune from being volunteered because I have less than 50 posts? I thought n00bs couldn't participate? *crosses fingers and hopes* Edit: If you are serious, how do I go about giving the results of my judging? Do I rate all the entries in order of WTF and post my results? Do I PM someone or post with my Ultimate WTF vote? Is it a first/second/third thing?

Look in Task Manager under the Processes tab. You will see a column for "Mem Usage". The amounts given (in kilobytes) refer to how much of your RAM a given application is accessing. If it keeps climbing after your game is fully loaded, a memory leak might be the culprit.
Thank You.

My deepest apologies as well. When running BV, pagefile usage goes through the roof, though. Under the performance tab, "Physical Memory (K)" lists Available as dwindling rapidly. How do I monitor actual memory usage in real time?

Is this with or without CC? With or without hacks (Awesome or Not)? I don't think you even have to be "playing" per se, for this to occur. The first thing I did when testing out BV was to load Veronaville, Monty and remodel the suck EAxis had created. I started getting odd bouts of lag and random blue screen in the process of replacing light fixtures, furniture, walls and floors. It didn't make a difference if all the visual options were turned up high or all the way down. I hadn't even "played" the family or even selected a vacation 'hood yet. This was with CC and Awesomeness.
I have only awsomeness in my downloads folder, the MATY Director's Cut (the most recent version, I check twice a day). No other cc or hacks. I have all EPs and all SPs at the moment. I was not complaining, merely offering stats I had noticed that may support the as-yet-unconfirmed-by-EAXIS memory leak. Mitchellcjs

According to my taskmanager, BV Sims2 starts at using 13 percent of my 700-something ram, 3% after loading completely, 48% while loading lots, and during normal lot play, 3% again(normal being generally smooth gameplay). After 5 hours of playing, BV Sims2 goes to 93% while loading lots, and 48% during normal gameplay (normal in this instance being very slow, with fits and starts). Crash happens around 6 to 6 1/2 hours of continuous play. Suspicions of a memory leak may not be unfounded. I am now limiting gameplay to a maximum of 2 hours per itineration of BV. I hope Maxis makes a patch that un-borks BV as much as possible SOON.

The Witch Doctor's hut is in the mountain hood? I thought it was in the Island hood?
Sorry, my mistake. That's what I get for playing too much yesterday, I think And I do understand your point about the lot having to be in that state so that future visitors can play the scenario....it's just that I haven't been able to get the scenario to actually *work* yet. Also, I hate those crappy looking cheap appliances, and always have the urge to replace them with better ones the minute I get on the lot. Karen Greetings, I am very new here and quite unawsome, but may have some insight. I had this Issue with the witch doctor on several occasions until I realized my sim must speak to the good doctor before repairing anything. I have to do it this way to get it to work: 1: speak to doctor "offer help" I believe. (it's the only option) 2: repair all things 3: mop up the water 4: get a snack And then the good doctor will come see my sim. If this does not help or is impertinent, I do apologize. Mitchellcjs
