Ness... I was thinking the same thing but you said it way better!

Now that I look closely at Emma's picture, I can see that there are words on it like ScoobyDoo mentioned, like when a texture is missing.  Weird.  I have all the EPs installed so I'm not using the car kit.  I take it you don't have all EPs loaded right now, Emma?  What EPs do you have right now, and are you using the car kit?

Yeah, Elfie told me about it.  I got mine on Amazon for $8 something.  It even came with a punctuation repair kit.  Cheesy

That's weird.  I just tested this out on mine, and nothing usual happened.  Maybe it's your video card or the settings?  I have an ATI card.
55  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted - Realistic Sickness' on: 2007 April 14, 08:19:58
When I went to school I was taught that the apostrophe after an s-ending word was an abbreviation to indicate a plural and more couth than writing "es" or,  *shudder*, "s". My aunt, the phonetician/linguistic specialist teacher actually drummed it into my head.
Huh, I never heard that.  I've been reading "Eats, Shoots and Leaves."  Excellent book, not strictly a grammar book, but very entertaining.  She talks about her inner stickler and how abused the poor apostrophe has become in our culture.  She is British, but she talks about both British and American usage.  She was very much distressed when Warner Brothers came out with the movie "Two Weeks Notice" without the apostrophe!

I'm just wondering why the correct spelling of "Sicknesses" was changed to the singular with an apostrophe at the end instead?  This would imply the possessive of a sickness.  This is one of my pet peeves.  Argh!

Thanks cabelle, that's very interesting.  I think I will share this with my bro-in-law.  Wink

My bro-in-law tells me that red cars get pulled over more by cops and get more tickets than any other color.

I don't like having to go to the website to read new messages.  I have enough forums I'm trying to keep up with.  That's why I like the email feature.  Angry

Thanks, Havelock!  Do you plan to do Vincent's houses too?

Me too.  Sad   Why are there keywords only for Adventurer and Education, though?

Aww, don't thank me, SaraMK did all the hard work.  Smiley

SaraMK extracted a bunch of the houses.  They are on her site at the Exchange.  They just don't have wallpaper or floors.

Will this fix accessories classified as glasses?
66  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Warmth Fix Mod on: 2007 April 03, 00:26:37
I just wish that my sims wouldn't keep climbing into the hot tub in the backyard in the winter and then climbing out and falling over frozen solid.  Then someone has to come revive them.  I'd put it away but my sims always want to woohoo in the hot tub.  Tongue

Do you have an old version of TJ's Low Food Warnings - Ignore Minis?  There was a bug he fixed with that mod that caused this.

You take your edited texture and import it back into SimPE the same way you exported it, only you click "Import."  Then hit "Commit" and save.

When I made a laverwinkle color to go with Dylan's laverwinkle alien recolor, I exported one of the cock user textures.  I then exported one of the alien skin textures.  I opened the alien texture in my paint program and used the eyedropper tool to get the color I wanted.  I then made the cock texture a solid color of the color sample I'd taken from the alien texture.  I saved this and reimported it back into SimPE as described above.  I then loaded up the game to see how it looked, and it wasn't quite right at first, too dark or too light, so I did it again and was happy with it.

Here is my file if anyone wants to look at it or use it:  http://public.box.net/rainbow2k74628

You can use it in place of your original textures file or extract the purple cock color to use in your own modified file.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 30, 19:32:36
Agreed! I also have guests swimming at night while there is 3 feet of snow on the ground Huh
Well, they get around that by saying the pools are always heated. Smiley  But yea, the sims would get pretty cold running from the pool to the house in their bathing suits...
I know this from personal experience...on my honeymoon at the end of February in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Shocked  It was warm in the pool and the pool was inside, but we had to run outside all the way to our "room" (it was a train made into a hotel with each room one end of a train car.)  It had been rather nice during the day, but at night it gets chilly up in the mountains.

I use the invisible recolor on many of my business lots, and most often use ctrl+alt to place it over the open close sign (legally), or I place it directly above the island counter against the wall, close to where the register is placed. Or, I place it next to a painting or light fixture, rather than over...above a stereo, etc. Basically, I place it next to, or above something I can remember where it is.
Where did you get the invisible recolor?  Did you make it yourself or get it from somewhere?
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How unsafe is it to change sims' names? on: 2007 March 29, 23:30:54
Christianlov has a last name copier on MTS2 that lets you copy the last name from any other sim.
