NoCommLotFoodServe should have been in the OK list (Well it is now).

The CraftableRestockFix was fixed in OFBp2. Whether they have broken it again, remains to be seen.

Okay, thanks. I kept in the restockfix because it was said that the patch may have only partially fixed the problem. I haven't had anyproblems from leaving it in that I can see.

Anyone have original userstartup when first installing Seasons? I accidentally overwrote mine.
103  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 01, 09:54:50
Anyone get the garden club to come to the house yet? I had a sim drop by saying he was from the club but I don't get the option on the phone.
104  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 01, 09:49:15
I think I'd like it if they changed without spinning.

They can, get Monique's 'change outfit-no spin', seems to be working in my game so far.
105  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Seasons - custom content that doesn't work properly on: 2007 March 01, 09:45:00
Just wanted to start a thread about custom content *not "hacks" as there is already a thread for that.

Few things I noticed about custom content when play testing seasons,

1 - Custom frigs. (including one from Life Stories) don't work properly. You can put leftovers in them, but you can't get leftovers out. Tested using Tranquility Frig from Holy Simoly and Lifestories frig. However, if you buy a regular frig, all the leftovers will be in there.

2 - Custom food, can be saved as leftovers in regular frigs.

3 - Table top Soda machine by Numenor/Exnem - sims sometimes use it as a frig. when putting leftovers. Can't get them back out of course as the only option is to drink. When clicking on regular frig., leftovers put in soda machine are there.

4 - The obvious: Merola's End table dressers and pile of clothes dresser does not have the option to change into outerwear.
Interestingly, Marmy's closet doors from MTS2 do have the option.
106  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (updated for Pets) on: 2007 February 28, 20:38:37
Yes, Seasons installs a new hood (G001) *not subhood, and gets loaded with all NPCs, sims, etc. I will check if you can create a custom hood using the Riverblossom template.

When I installed Seasons, I changed my EP templates to what they were before but I forgot to change the N001 template in the Sims2 directory (had it named N001-bak) and I didn't have a problem installing.

what do you mean,

Other packages are not supported
Does that mean they don't work and you won't be updating them? Particularly, NoCommLotFoodServe and CraftableRestockFix.

thanks

Oh ok. I already have that one though.
110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet Food coming out of toddler on: 2007 February 01, 09:19:54
Which one of the TJ's pet fixes are supposed to work? I think I have them already.
111  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Pet Food coming out of toddler on: 2007 January 31, 10:43:55
Ever since my toddler ate pet food from the dish, when he is does certain actions, pet food will spew out of him at random. It is not all the time, just when he is doing certain things. Is this a bug or something?
112  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Debug super duper hug on: 2007 January 26, 19:48:20
Solution found, http://www.modthesims2.com/showpost.php?p=1284643&postcount=80, and it fixed the problem.
What's funny is that I never had that hack in the game but it was piggy backing with a lot.
113  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Debug super duper hug on: 2007 January 26, 13:27:04
From what I've been able to narrow it down to, it doesn't seem to be a hack that I have in game, but a particular lot. I haven't downloaded any hacks dealing with social interactions.
The interaction doesn't show up unless I'm in this one house. It is Ed Newman's Compact unfurnished Downtown lot. I installed with clean installer and loaded the lot file.
I've read of hacks, particularly, 'ContolThisSim' getting installed with lots even though clean installer doesn't show it, that causes this SuperDuperHug debug option showing. Don't know if that is the case, with this lot, so,
how do I check if an unseen hack is loaded with the lot? How do I get rid of it, and hopefully not have to move the family out.

thanks
114  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Debug super duper hug on: 2007 January 26, 10:21:20
I am all of a sudden, getting the, Debug super duper hug, interaction showing up when I click on sims.
I haven't installed any hacks that have reportedly caused this problem for others.
I did install, Shaklin's model animation changer recently but I've not seen anyone reporting this problem assoc. with this hack.
So, how do I get rid of it?

thanks
and, glad to see site back up!  Grin

Sorry, just had to respond...
For all you programmers that don't comment your code... Tongue (tongue lashing)... QA's worst nightmare!!! Argh!  Angry
I've been on both sides, and it is not too hard to put comments in your code, comments help with debugging.
End rant.  Lips sealed

117  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Install code reusable? on: 2006 October 28, 02:57:10
If I uninstall the sims and give the disks to someone else, can they use the codes to install on their pc?
118  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sick of razzle! on: 2006 October 26, 16:48:02
Oh and about the womrats, I noticed if you put them in the same room a sim sleeps in it wakes them up which is kind of dumb. Tongue I can understand birds, but when I was a kid I had hamsters in my bedroom and they never made so much noise that it woke me up. Heck, even the birds generally shut up if you put a cover over their cage for a night.

I just noticed this today. The sims won't wake up until their energy bar is about 1/4 full or somewhere around there, though. This womrat was spinning in his wheel all night and the sims were oblivious until their meters filled a bit.

Same here. The cage was in a child's room and I noticed he kept tossing and turning while his energy bar went up and down. He didn't wake up though. I was hoping he wasn't sick due to him playing with the womrat but I figured the thing was just making little noises that kept him up.
And why do they throw themselves against the plastic sides and slide down? My womrat keeps doing it, it is so funny.
119  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: locks on doors and gates not working ... on: 2006 October 26, 16:39:16
I think customers & employees walking past lock doors as soon as they come unto a lot has something to do with the "move away from portal" code. Sometimes the make a long trek including walking through lock doors to do this, other times the lock doors will keep them out.

121  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Pet Aggressiveness/Friendliness on: 2006 October 23, 20:46:10
Can you train a pet to be friendly towards everyone in the family, including other pets, but be aggressive towards strangers, or is the friendly/aggressive training all encompassing one way or the other?

122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: anyone else have this? on: 2006 October 21, 15:06:44
I think the pet sinking into the ground is an object error. If you don't have debug mode on, the game automatically does a reset when an object error occurs and thus leads to the sinking in the ground.
I played with debug mode on and when a stray cat came on the property, an object error dialog popped up. I pressed reset and the cat sunk into the ground 2x and popped back up. All was fine after that.

123  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sick of razzle! on: 2006 October 20, 22:06:00
Think we will get an update of the Teleporter shrub to make a pet a stray?
124  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Get in ownable car gosub error? on: 2006 October 20, 21:27:08
I got the same problem. The sim in question couldn't move (free will was off). I think b/c I was using Obtainchi free-will mod before installing, and I had taken it out. Thus the sim was permanently stuck with free-will off. I put the hack back in, turned his free-will on, then took the hack back out. He is okay now. Not sure if it fixed the problem with him getting in the car though. We will see.
125  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets EP questions... on: 2006 October 20, 16:19:43
Can you adopt one of the non leader wolves? That'd be cool for a storyline. You know, the whole boy raised by wolves bit? Grin

No, you can't have the leader of the pack join the family but you can do that with a regular wolf.

Question, can a puppy be walked? He keeps peeing by the couch and when I take him outside, he just goes back into the house (same spot) and pees.
I tried to make him pee on the stay-shrubs bush but it didn't work.  Smiley

edit - and how do you "call-over" a dog so it will come to you?
