26  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Accurate recipes of Juices and Juice bugs! on: 2007 March 09, 09:37:22
Someone on S2C posted this from the Prima Guide. =)

Apple Juice (4 apples) - finish homework faster
Beauty cocktail (2 oranges, 1 cucumber) - love potion
Eggplant juice (1 eggplant) - random skill points
Lemonade (4 lemons) - cools sims down
Orange juice (4 oranges) - cures colds
Orangeade (3 oranges, 1 lemon) - random badge points
Pepper Punch (1 pepper, 4 pole beans, 2 apples) - energy boost
Pureed boot (1 boot) - freak out (sim does random animations), no hunger satisfaction
Strawberry juice (6 strawberries) - clears furious bit
Tomato juice (3 tomatoes) - warms sims up
Vegetable cocktail (2 tomatoes, 1 cucumber, 1 pepper, 3 pole beans) - builds skills faster

PS. For the orangeade to work the Sim must have at least a bronze badge in one talent.

thanks for the recipes, regarding orangeade, i tried on all kind of different sims, some with no badges, some with multiple gold badges and some with bronze, silver and gold badges, none of the sims got any extra badge after drinking the orangeade
27  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Terrible crash when using Stuck object remover to remove stuck penguin on: 2007 March 09, 02:57:07
Got a penguin stuck on my lot for almost 2 sims years (it just stands there frozen, cant remove using moveobjects cheat)
so i downloaded the latest version of stuck object remover and put on top of the penguin, when i unpause the game freezes
so i wait and wait and wait still no response so i tab out, then harddrive started to spin like crazy and for a while i couldnt even move my mouse cursor
it must have been a whole 20 mins the harddrive were working hard until it finally stopped.
never had crash this bad for long time.
it didn't generate any error log
28  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Accurate recipes of Juices and Juice bugs! on: 2007 March 08, 22:26:04
Anyone has accurate juice recipe?
the one floating on the internet not really acurrate at all. only a few are actually acurate, many others are not.
like orangeade, can never figure out exactly how many oranges and lemons it takes.
the veggie coctail said needs 2 tomatos, 1 cucumber, 1 pepper and 3 beans, but after i made the juice i still get 2 beans and 1 tomato left.
i notice the fruits all have different qualities, which may be a factor, but so far i dont see how it is affecting the result.

Bug.
So far i found out that orangeade is not working at all, i got message say i got a badge but the sim don't actually get it.
tried on different sims and none of them working, wasted a lot of my oranges and lemons, is this a known issue or its just me.
29  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: Plant sims on: 2007 March 08, 22:18:05
I wonder if it is at all possible to make the Plant Sims age normally (all age stages).

There would need to be some other hack besides just adding some green skin, because I don't think children could stay inside the school (and away from the shower!) all day.  The teens have a shorter school day, so I suppose they *might* be able to make it.  It stil seems like it would be a pretty big stress, though.

I figure this is why Plantsims age directly from toddler to adult -- because they'd die if you sent them to schooll!

They can, its not difficult at all, the water need decays in the same speed as hygiene, which is really slow. the Sun decays as slow as normal energy, even during the night.
they can go anywhere and do anything without worry much.
the real reason as the earlier poster said, was probably because they didn't have enough time to make all the mesh for different ages.

i think this is a bug.
but "be farmer" is not working, the sim (with gold badge in gardening) just walks around the plants without doing anything, they sometimes talk to the plants, but other than that, they never tend or spray
31  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Is this possible? Hack to make plant babies become teens/go to college on: 2007 March 07, 19:29:36
Is that possible?
32  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Business Controller: Business Runs YOU! on: 2007 March 07, 19:14:23
whats the reason that you can't make your own sim "be salesperson" unless you get a gold badge?
its a pain in the butt to train my own sims manually while i can train my employee by just assign them to be the salesperson regardless of sales skill
33  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 07, 03:45:23
Hacks I want:

1. Garden controller - In Soviet Russia, Gardens tend you!  Smiley
2. Makes Business controller compatible with plantsims (so they can dazzle like robots and perhaps also take care of their needs, take shower, stand under sun/lamp to recharge etc)
3. Sims autonomously take Leftover food from fridge instead of cooking new ones, and autonomously store leftover into fridge.

Thank you!!
34  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Serious pet bug, please help on: 2007 March 06, 12:32:22
where to get the latest version of community lot sleeping hack?
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Serious pet bug, please help on: 2007 March 06, 01:11:23
My dog somehow sunk into the ground, and unable to move.
when i tried enable cheat, i got error message popup every second until i press delete.
It seems to happen randomly, usually when i order the pet to "go sleep"
it will not go to sleep in the pet beds (i have a bunch of them, pet house, pet bed etc), sometimes it will go sleep on floor
sometimes it just bugged.
Only way to fix was disable cheat, and use cheat to fill up its energy bar, then it returns back to normal (so i suspect it has something to do with sleep, or pet bed in general)

Attached is an error log

36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Seasons questions on: 2007 March 05, 16:54:02
Hi i just installed seasons, and im rather confused with things.
1. How do you get plantsimism? (haven't seen any green people in Pleasantview)
2. Does plantsimism has any special ability (like werewolves and vampres)
3. how do you join garden club? i know you need to talk to somewhere who is member, but I can't find anyone (my sims living in Pleasantville)
4. How do you make potions etc with the fruit you harvested

Thanks!

38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Just came back from a LONG sims break, need some advice on: 2007 February 28, 22:33:55
Hello guys, I stopped playing sims 2 for about half a year now, and I just came back.
I still have all the old hacks and my old download folders, with OFB stuffs. everything i downloaded before
Now i got the PETs expansion, can anyone give me a general idea of what will be conflicting etc when I install the Pets expansion
not just Pescado's hacks, also other hacks available on the net in general.
or if you know there is a list of conflicting/updates floating somewhere on the net, please kindly provide a link.
Thanks a bunch!
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / what happened to pescado's hacks? on: 2006 March 22, 09:22:12

40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: And the purpose of the cleanbot is??? on: 2006 March 17, 11:59:08
what about the sentry bot, does it just nab the robber?  i put one by my trash can and paper and those darn sims keep taking them and knocking the can over.  the bot does nada.
sentry bot worked fine for me, it attacks thieves, sims who wanna steal your newspaper or gnomes, and furious walk-bys
fairly effective.
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weird Encounters in my Jap- theme Store on: 2006 March 16, 20:35:47
ticket machine is no good for retail store. just remove it and your business should be fine.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB food display cases = leftovers possible! on: 2006 March 15, 12:10:03
wow nice!
i might never have found this out on my own since i havent really eaten anything after placing snapdragons everywhere
but this is a good news indeed because im considering removing all the snapdragon due to their rediculous overpowerness
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Moving the Business to a bigger lot? on: 2006 March 15, 08:08:29
Business rank is not very important, because you get to keep all the perks forever.
the higher rank only increases the number of customers show up and nothing else (it seems)
so unless your business model is a pay to stay thing its not a big deal to start over
starting over also gives u the benefit to pick new perks (if u havent already gotten them all)
as far as buy bar is concerned, i think business rank has nothing to do with it.

44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dazzle and Servos.... on: 2006 March 15, 07:53:58
Rally Forth is where Servo really shines, since he's immune to the motive drains which otherwise make it a rather useless action.
totally agree with u
i was able to max a sim's 5 skills (starting from level 1-3), non-stop.
basically i put a sim into a room with training equipement, and snapdragons to keep all mood up except energy
and when the energy gets really low, i have my servo couple take turns rally forth in the room to refill the energy of the sim. and then the servo couple played pillow fight to fix each other social and fun
45  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Dazzle and Servos.... on: 2006 March 14, 20:42:39
The first time ever I used a playable human sim to do dazzle, was selling a community lot deed of some sort, and had to dazzle many times to sell it. Before I even noticed it, my sim fell on ground and lost consciousness!! LOL
I have never realized dazzle can drain energy so fast since i been using servo to do sales since day one, yet another proof how overpowered servos are...

46  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Robots on: 2006 March 14, 16:40:33
I dont quite understand the point of giving the servo a name when you craft it since you have the option of changing its name when you initilize it. Makes no sense at all.
name when u make it is like the model of the robot, such as servio-3820 v.1.4 or something like that then you can give it a name for that particular robot when you activate it.
its more of a roleplaying thing, not very practical of course.
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Npc college sims NOT getting Want slots Upgrade, and FFS debugger not helping... on: 2006 March 14, 07:54:00
my sim at home has graduated with 4.0gpa
must be a bugged from the ofb exp
48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Npc college sims NOT getting Want slots Upgrade, and FFS debugger not helping... on: 2006 March 13, 20:46:26
is this a bug caused by OFB?
My sim (livin in bluewater village)  had invited a Townie college sim to move in, she aged into adulthood as soon as she joined. but her want slots didn't get the upgrade!
Before I remember clearly that when an townie college sim is invited into regular neighborhood, that sim gets the upgrade and considered to be college graduate.
I know cuz i did it many times before OFB came out.
Now i thought what the hell i can fix it with FFS debugger, and NO! the option wasnt available at all.
Even my servos could get a pre-university sim upgrades with the FFS debugger!
Now can someone help me out here?
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Entrepreneural Spirit - Building and selling businesses. on: 2006 March 12, 15:14:09
You don't even need to open the business. I've made profits just buying the community lot, then jacking it up to "Ridiculously Expensive" and then selling it off at more than I paid for it to some hapless townie.
to be able to sell anything u have to open business first, i was talking setting up a real estate business at home
50  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Entrepreneural Spirit - Building and selling businesses. on: 2006 March 12, 08:56:18
The real goal here wasn't to make money selling stuff, but to make money by building up a business and selling the business.
In that case, there is a even cheaper way to do it, just open a beauty salon, set the price for make up to $1, u dont even need a salesperson and customer will fill the buy bar on their own faster than you can do makeup
and since the price is lower than redicolously cheap, they get a big bonus after the makeup (you get bonus loyalty boost if stuffs you sell are really cheap, and u get loyalty hit if customer bought something that is too expensive) you business ranking goes up in NO time. I managed to get a beauty salon's business ranking to 7 in half a day with one sim working (no salesperson, no employee)
