101  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servo is WAY overpowered.......*Spoiler* on: 2006 March 03, 13:58:54
My first Servo came with a silver register badge.
How does your robot get silver register badge? do the sim who created it or activated it had a silver register badge?
102  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servo is WAY overpowered.......*Spoiler* on: 2006 March 02, 23:34:41
That is because - WATER!
Yes, the ONLY weakness of servo, water has devastating effects on servo. Only found it out now
so keep servo away it.
means no shower, no bubble bath, no woohoo in jacuzzi
most importantly NO sprinkler

water will drop all needs to 0 within 2-3 seconds, and the servo will go berserk, running awoke. and then goes broken, of course it can be repaired, when its being repaired all motives regain slowly

other than that its safe
103  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Servo is WAY overpowered.......*Spoiler* on: 2006 March 02, 23:02:46
Servo is not exactly the same as described in gamespy review.
It takes the personality of the one who activates it that is right

but it doesnt start with max cooking/mech/cleaning, instead it starts with the EXACT skill as the person who activates it
the sim i used to activate the servo (btw i named him andrew martin lol) has max in every other skills except logic (at 9) and andrew got the same set of skills.

Servo doesnt start with gold toy making badge like it is described in the gamespy review, so you have to work its way up.

Why is servo overpowered?
1) It starts with whatever skill your sim has, and most of the time my sims have max in every skill which saves TONS of training time.
2) It only has 3 needs (well 4 including environment but thats not a real need anyway), they are power (like energy), fun and social
why is it overpowered? cuz crafting drain comfort, bladder, and hygien really really fast, and since servo has NONE of those 3 needs, hes much much better crafter than humans
3) Energy goes down fairly slow, perhaps a bit slower than energy. and it recharges really fast and it can do it in community lot as well, only draw back is the recharging uses solar energy and you cant do it during the night, but who cares since servo and power down(and up) himself anytime and enter hibernation mode, which freezes all his needs AND aspiration.
4) It copies the aspiration type and LTW of the sim who activates it as well. So with you the skills of the sims you can easily fullfill the LTW and get perma platinum mood for eternity (servo doesnt age)
5) Servo can do Almost everything sims can, including starting own business, drive cars etc, only thing is that servo wont be able to change clothes. Servo can go bathroom and eat, but they dont do him anything except making him fat (LOL)

It is said (havent tested myself) that servo goes berserk when mood is low, but its rediculously easy to keep his mood high which really isnt much of a down side at all.

So how do you guys like servo? Oh, has anyone ever try to bring a newly-made non-activated servo to University
104  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do you operate a cleaning robots? on: 2006 March 02, 22:41:53
yea figured out as well
I forgot to turn moveobjects off and moved the robot from the pad thingy, ended up have to sell the crafting station and buy another.
105  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / How do you operate a cleaning robots? on: 2006 March 02, 19:37:28
After disabling all the potential conflicting hacks Pescado had listed, I was able to install and start the game without much of a problem.
Now i havent really get into all the business thingy yet, I bought a robot station started cranking out toy robots trying to get some talent badges on robotic crafting
Now I got a bronze badge, then the options of making cleaning robots and gradening robots are available
I made a cleaning robots, now i put it on the ground and there is no action available for it!
is it because its "faulty" cuz i didnt get any message saying anything actually went wrong...
so how do i start the darn thing?
106  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 21:06:47

107  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 20:13:30
ok it seems like all the alt-tabbing's had generated a bug, i reboot my computer and restarted the game the problem is fixed now
(tried restarting game without rebooting and it didnt fix it )
108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 20:01:50
yes im using . and ,
i click the chair once, its picked up, then i press . once it rotates, then i mouse click once to release the object and it goes back to the old angle....
it did work once or twice after 1000000000000000 tries, so i think this is some kind of bug for me....
109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 19:47:01
ok i single left-click the furniture, say a chair
press ">" once, the chair rotates 45-degree clockwise
now i single left-click the chair again to put it down, it changes back to starting angle
110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 19:38:45
Ok.... new problem
I picked up the item, and press > the item rotated fine but when i tried putting it down it changed back to the old 90=degree rotation.....
111  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 19:32:53
Ohhhh now i remember.... thanks
I took a long break from the game and now i forgot all the tricks
thanks again
112  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / 45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...?? on: 2006 February 16, 19:30:12

113  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Request: Stop the gypsies!!! on: 2005 September 27, 12:51:12

114  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Vampires: Whats the different between Staying outdoor and indoor at day time? on: 2005 September 25, 21:59:54
It seems like motives decay insanely fast during daytime, doesnt matter  i stay indoor or outdoor
my vampire is living in a house with NO windows, the roof is covered by floor tiles
anyone know if there is a way to stop decay when stay indoor ?
i know carrigon made a daytime vampire hack but its a bit too much, i would really like the decay to be stopped when vampire stay indoor in house without windows (which makes sense , how r u gonna get burned when there is no sunlight)

115  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My vampire is pregnant on: 2005 September 19, 23:48:22
it will be interesting if pescado can make a hack makes "pure blood" vampires "day-walkers" heh
i got my nightlife finally but since i still havent finished Dungeon Siege 2 i guess im gonna wait for a bit for pescado to update some vital hacks for the new exp before i install Cheesy
116  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: HUZZAH! Banned from Rentech.com! on: 2005 July 20, 16:58:08
last time i saw a group of modders from mts2 followed u to join the "v" site, then the second later u got banned from there and made your own site.
come on, tell us whats going on!
its probably none of my business but i know im not the only curious one here.
117  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: macrotastics questions on: 2005 July 20, 03:51:53
laurenke, the hack is there but there isn't a thread to discuss it, in the armory

veilchen, the version i got is the latest
118  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / macrotastics questions on: 2005 July 19, 19:01:53
since there isnt a thread for all the old hacks u made before u made your own site, im posting the question here instead.
as i read from the rtfm file, when a sim is on power idle mode, they are supposed to sustain themselves without player intervention. and it's also mentioned that sim should even call friends if autoyak is installed
now my sims on power idle mode doesnt eat when hungry (eat macro is working perfectly), doesn't go to bed when energy is really low (go to bed macro is working), and doesnt call friends when social is low as hell and everything else is full. (autoyak is working fine in other situations)
other needs seem to be fine, though i would really like them be a little bit more active, i mean, when they are being idle, they might as well do something more productive instead of standing/sitting there until a need is getting really low. (may be start fixing needs when one drop below 75% and there is no other pressing thing to do, also clean/repair/gradening more actively, autoyak when threre is nothing else to do just for the sake of it etc)
the goal should be that when im back controlling the sim again, he/she should be in a near-perfect condition
119  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Email Challenge...Because Those Other Challenges Are Boring And For Wusses! on: 2005 July 17, 10:39:09
have a question, since every time a kid goes to public school get I get a minus 10 points , does that mean i should have the sim kids skipping school until i get him/her into private school? but then the  grades are gonna drop and i get penalty for that instead.
so how is it possible to get perfect score?
120  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Hi Pescado! what's up with all the moving around? on: 2005 July 17, 02:49:26
i haven't been around for a while and here you moved again. took me quite a while to find here.
