1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Why the FUCK does this happen? on: 2010 December 19, 02:08:06
Is it possible that this is a portal? All the sims stuck there are NPCs, and after taking another look, that isn't the spot that routing fix was targeting.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Why the FUCK does this happen? on: 2010 December 18, 23:41:15
Is it at a spot she hasn't covered?

If not, move the copy file out of the world folder and into some other backup folder so the game cannot mistakenly read it. Then if it persists try a new save. Also, try doing, "resetsim *" in your current save.

It's at the spot that was supposed to be covered, and I deleted the original fucked up file all together and made a copy of it elsewhere on my hard drive. Creating a new save doesn't work, and resetting the Sims only temporarily relieves the problem.

And because they're stuck, the game slows down terribly. I understand this is a routing issue, and I have tried to fix it, but it still persists.

Patch 3 would not install over patch 2 for me.  I just mean if they fixed anything important in objects.package between the two patches, anyone with patch 2 won't be able to get the fix.  (Unless EA just hates me and I'm the only one for whom it won't work.  :p)

Well I guess that would seem to be true, because I just applied patch #3 over #2.  Tongue
5  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2007 September 11, 00:44:55
Does any one have the Clean/Fixed Pleasantview + townies (yes, I want Goopy and Benjamin Longnose)? The files in the link aren't there anymore.

I like...the uh...box.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any way to stop random dogs/cats from spawning? on: 2007 August 26, 04:13:36
nostrayrespawn SHOULD block most respawns, but there are some actions you can take which will spawn an animal anyway. Also, you may be seeing a wolf. Those are minimized with noredundancy, but the game still insists on spawning a few no matter what.

Ok, it's probably the wolf. I checked SimPE, and there wasn't a Sim description for the wolf NPC.

8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Any way to stop random dogs/cats from spawning? on: 2007 August 26, 00:49:37
I thought there was a hack in the directors cut that stopped this, but I realized it wasn't when the game spawned rover. Tongue

Pescado is lying out the side of his neck.

He WATCHES Dragon ball Z.

Does anyone have a no CD crack for version 1.6.0.273 of the game? Game Copy World is outdated.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Virtual drive + sims 2 = havoc. Any ideas? on: 2006 December 29, 02:07:37
This happened to me last week. Just stick the CD in, and install right over it. Once that's done, you can uninstall.

This is great. I'll test it for you.

An expansion pack probably did it. It didn't happen until I bought one.

That project never got off the ground.

Could you make it harder? Maybe a nuclear edition? Something that really challenges .

Harder? What in particular needs to be harder?

20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: "Having Affair With ____" Bugs on: 2006 June 29, 07:35:11
Well, I have a Sim who's spouse died.  As soon as I got her to fall in love again, she got the "Had An Affair With ____" even though her past spouse is already dead.  I think J.M.'s "marriage-postmortum" hack causes this and the "Get caught cheating on (dead sim)" fear, because this doesn't happen without the hack.

Help?

I had this problem a while ago, but Pescado fixed it. Sounds like you are using an old version, eh?
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Brace yourselves! on: 2006 June 29, 07:21:08
Okay, well, no. Not really. I don't think anyone is suprised by this. The very first object with custom animations has been made and (wait for it) it is a sex object. I guess the internet really is for porn.

For anyone interested, here is a link. You must be over 18 to see it.

AHH! My virgin eyes!!

No but seriously, that was hilarious. If Pescado knows how to make new animations, maybe we can finally get the "Poke Bluesoup with pin" and "Bluesoup explodes" interation. Tongue
That is only if they can break the animation barrier even more.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Social for toddlers please!!!! on: 2006 June 28, 19:40:05
Well, thats funny, seemed to me that someone that would ask a question like that would think I was a total moron that couldn't even figure out the basics of the game...so excuse my reply...but I don't like people making me feel stupid either, like I said, how could you not know that if you've even raised one toddler?  Now, if everyone is finished pointning that out, does anyone have anything constructive to add?

Yes, you brought all of this on yourself. Just drop this arguement please.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Phone calls for the dead on: 2006 June 27, 13:52:51
If someone is calling for a dead sim, just don't answer it. If the call goes unanswered, it will usually stop bothering you entirely.

A bit like dealing with telemarketers really.  If you do happen to answer the phone and find you have a telemarketer on the line, why not try one of my 3 effective ways of getting rid of them:

1. Tell them it is against your religion (of which you are the high priest/cult leader) OR
2. Try and sell them stuff e.g. Avon, garden supplies, cutlery set etc OR
3. Speak in a foreign language e.g. Vulcan

surpisingly they DO work...no joke

Where's number 4?

4. Hang up on them.

I have decided to give up on this mod, I have tried getting it to work but visiting sims will not age they just remain stuck at 0 days, if you still have this mod I suggest you delete it from your game.

Looks like this mod blew up a few computers. I wish he could have found some way to fix it, because I like the idea that townies age along with you Playable characters. But, all those dead sim files would eventually build up, which will end up like a time bomb.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Oh please with that stairs ! on: 2006 June 27, 13:39:10
No, Mike, althought you might be using the modular stairs. On the modular stairs, sims see each step as a different object, but on the normal staircases the whole thing is one object, so sims can only use it one at a time.

Ah, I see. I hardly have normal staircases, mostly all of them are modular. A hack for normal staircases would be quite convenient.

Meh, if you want something quick for your immediate use, get squinge to do it. He's pulling hacks out of his behind everyday. He basically owns the entire Global Mods section at MTS2. But always remember: Tongue

Quick + Squinge = Not awesome.
